Chapter 80: Taking Medicine

However, just as Wei Shuo’s fist was about to make contact with Qiu Rong, it was suddenly grabbed by a slender hand.

Qiu Tong walked out from behind Qiu Rong. Her gaze was like a sharp knife as she glared at Wei Shuo. She grabbed Wei Shuo’s wrist and slowly pulled it back.

“Now that you’re in prison, you have to change your ways for the better, understand?”

“Stupid little girl, are you looking to die!”

She was very strong. Wei Shuo was in so much pain that his eyes revealed an ominous glint. He lifted his leg and kicked Qiu Tong’s abdomen. His kick was merciless!

Qiu Tong gave a cold snort. She raised her leg and kicked Wei Shuo’s calf tendon. With a crash, Wei Shuo knelt on the ground, sweating profusely from the pain.

He looked like he was kneeling before the two of them, lowering his head to admit his mistake.

“B*tch!”

Wei Shuo looked like he was burning up with fury. He struggled to stand up and shouted loudly to the lackeys behind him, “Why aren’t you all attacking yet! Today, I’m going to let this woman know what a man is!”

Just as his men were about to rush over, a sharp whistle sounded.

Everyone turned around and saw the warden standing at the door with a serious expression. They could not help but stay rooted to the ground, not daring to move.

The prison guards whipped out their batons and went around to knock everyone back into place. Soon, the scene was controlled and the prisoners sat obediently on the chairs.

“Miss Qiu, are you alright?”

The warden hurried over and looked at her worriedly when he thought of Qiu Tong’s relationship with Jin Yang.

“I’m fine.” Qiu Tong shook her head.

The warden felt relieved and turned around. “Let me introduce you all to Miss Qiu.”

“After her relentless efforts, she finally developed a special medicine that can treat the infectious disease.”

“Now, she will personally distribute the medicine to you, as well as explain important things to take note of regarding prevention and subsequent care.”

Qiu Tong distributed the medicine brought by the warden. But when she placed the medicine in front of Wei Shuo, an unforeseen event occurred.

Wei Shuo stared at her unhappily, his eyes filled with grudging hatred. “The disease can be cured just because you said so?”

“It has been just a short period of time. You probably haven’t even done any trial tests!”

“What? Are you trying to kill us? Aren’t prisoners’ lives also human lives?”

Wei Shuo’s words instantly ignited the suspicions in everyone’s hearts. The crowd started questioning.

Seeing that his daughter was being questioned, Qiu Rong was extremely anxious. He stuffed the pills into his mouth and said, “Since none of you is willing to believe, I’ll take them first!”

He believed that his daughter would not harm anyone!

When these criminals saw Qiu Rong testing the medicine with his own body, some of the doubts in their hearts dissipated. They started to trust a little more in Qiu Tong.

What if the medicine was really effective?

But Wei Shuo was still filled with suspicion. He said with an unfriendly expression, “Who knows if this is just an act that this father-daughter pair is putting on for us.”

“If something really goes wrong from eating it, it will be too late to regret later.”

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone’s opinion started to shift again.

Qiu Tong had always been a decisive person.

After she heard Wei Shuo’s words, she simply took back the medicine in front of him, returning it to the box held by the warden.

“You can choose not to eat it if you don’t believe me. Anyway, not just anyone can take my medicine.”

She looked at Wei Shuo coldly and raised her head. Her sharp gaze swept across the crowd. “All of you too. If you feel that there’s something wrong with my medicine, you can choose not to eat it.”

“You are free to choose. Death or survival.

Right at this time, one of the prisoners sitting behind Qiu Rong suddenly began to cough violently. He squatted on the ground, wishing he could cough out all of his internal organs.

“Cough cough cough…”

The epidemic in the prison had been going on for some time. Most people had been infected with the virus, and some of them had their immune systems severely damaged.

The prisoner knelt on the ground. The intense pain corroding his internal organs made him feel that he might as well be dead.

“Cough cough… I can’t take it anymore. Let me take the medicine. It doesn’t matter if it’s effective or not. Let me take the medicine!”

With a fierce expression, he suddenly grabbed the medicine as if it was his final chance at life. He swallowed it!
