Chapter 65: Conflict
Qiu Tong had already arranged to meet the real estate agent to view houses, but halfway there, she received a call from the agent.
The agent told her apologetically that the owner of the house had something on and would only be back later.
Qiu Tong had no choice but to reschedule her appointment with the agent before heading home.

She did not expect to see a police car approaching her house.
“What are you doing outside my house?”
Qiu Tong said loudly when she saw the police confronting Ye Luan.
“We received a report saying that there was a homeless child here. The household registration office also said that the child’s registered residence is not here.”
“According to the rules, we have to bring the child back to the police station. We have to contact the child’s family or send the child to the local welfare center. Either way, we can’t let him stay at your house.”
The policeman sized Qiu Tong up from head to toe, as if he was looking at a criminal who did human trafficking.
Qiu Tong objected. She glanced at Ye Luan, who was on his guard, and stood in front of the police.

“Bring her to the detention center. Get ready to hand her over to the prosecutor immediately.”
Qiu Tong was obviously unwilling to comply. She looked coldly at the self-opinionated police chief and pushed away the police officers who were about to take her away forcefully. She stared at them with bloodshot eyes and said, “I’ll say it again, I didn’t kidnap the child!”
“How dare you attack the police!” Chief Officer Fang was furious. He slammed the table and stood up.
“Hurry up and capture her!”
“Come at me if you dare!”
At this critical moment, a deep and dignified male voice sounded from the door.
Chief Officer Fang turned around and was about to scold this person who dared to challenge his authority. However, when he saw the rank of a second lieutenant on the other party’s shoulder, he swallowed his words.
