Chapter 291: Heart Surgery

“Jin Yang!!”

Qiu Tong felt as if her heart was being torn apart. She went crazy with bloodshot eyes as she raised her machine gun and aimed it at Yu Ge. She kept pulling the trigger. Bullets rained down on the other party. Yu Ge’s bodyguards felt fear in their hearts as they protected him and retreated.

At this moment, Shao An had arrived with reinforcements.

In five minutes, they had chased the Vulture members out of the villa area and forced them to disperse.

Shao An returned with the seal, his face covered with injuries. The next second, he saw Jin Yang lying in a pool of blood. He was shocked and wanted to kneel down and put pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding. “Sir… medic, come over quickly!”

Qiu Tong was oblivious to the movements around her. She covered Jin Yang’s wound with her hands, desperately trying to infuse her special ability to him. Hot tears streaked down the corners of her eyes and hit the back of Jin Yang’s hand.

Jin Yang raised his hand weakly and held her face. He smiled faintly and said, “Don’t waste your energy.”

Her Esper ability could allow the wound to heal quickly, but at the same time, it would consume Qiu Tong’s energy.

Jin Yang said with difficulty, “As long as you’re alright!”

Qiu Tong shook her head fiercely. She held Jin Yang’s palm tightly. “You can’t leave me…”

The medical staff rushed to the scene to lift Jin Yang up and transport out for surgery as soon as possible.

Qiu Tong refused to let go. She stared at Shao An and said, “I’ll perform the surgery for him!”

Shao An understood her feelings, but Qiu Tong didn’t have any experience in surgery. He gestured at the presidential guards beside him with his eyes, and they restrained Qiu Tong. Shao An said earnestly, “I know you’re worried about Sir. This medical team has performed hundreds of open chest surgeries. They were the ones who treated Sir’s serious injuries in the past. Sir will definitely be safe this time.”

“Calm down and don’t disturb them. Okay?”

“We all care about Sir very much and hope that he can survive! You’re not the only one in pain!”

Shao An was equally worried. He was practically shouting by now.

Qiu Tong looked at him blankly, looking as if she was desperately holding onto the sliver of hope. She muttered, “The surgery will be successful.”

“Jin Yang promised me that he would bring me to many places. He promised Little Yu that he would give her a younger sister. How could he go back on his words?”

Qiu Tong’s hair was loose. She bit her nails and squatted by the wall, staring straight at the makeshift operating table.

Song Yan bandaged his own wound and walked to the glass window. He looked at Jin Yang lying on the operating table as unforgettable images flashed across his mind. He had never thought that Jin Yang would sacrifice himself for him.

Perhaps it was as Jin Yang had said, it was just instinct.

Song Yan couldn’t help but wonder if he would block that bullet for Jin Yang if the situation had been reversed.

He didn’t know the answer…

The villa had a very sturdy structure. Only some glass panels in the first floor were damaged by the attack. Shao An arranged for the reinforcement troops to tidy up the place. When Qiu Rong and the children came out of the basement and learned that Jin Yang was seriously injured, they surrounded Qiu Tong.

When Qiu Tong saw Qiu Xingyu’s worried eyes, she wanted to squeeze out a smile, but her tears fell uncontrollably.

Qiu Xingyuan and Qiu Xingqiao took the initiative to walk to her side. They opened their young but strong arms and hugged her.

Qiu Xingyuan imitated Jin Yang’s usual act of gently patting Qiu Tong’s back. He heard her sobbing and said seriously. “Uncle Jin Yang will definitely be fine.” At this moment, everyone in the villa had the same wish. They were all waiting for news from the medical team.

At dusk, one of the medical staff walked out. He took off his mask and protective suit and looked at Shao An. “Fortunately, the bullet missed Mr. President’s heart by 0.2 centimeters. The surgery was successful, but Mr. President’s body was severely injured, and many of his nerves were damaged.”

“I cannot determine when he will wake up or even whether he can wake up.”

The medical staff’s words made everyone heave a sigh of relief even as anxiety clouded their hearts again.

Unable to determine if Jin Yang would wake up. It was possible that he would continue to be in a coma and have to rely on medical devices to survive.

Qiu Tong’s hands trembled slightly as she tried her best to regain her rationality. “Can I visit him now?”

The medical staff nodded. “Try not to stay for too long. Mr. President needs an absolutely quiet environment.”

Qiu Tong forced a smile and let Shao An handle the rest. She changed into her protective suit and walked to the bed. Looking at Jin Yang’s pale, handsome face, Qiu Tong sat down beside him. “Can you bear to let Song Yan take care of me?”

“I know. You must be trying to scare me. I’ll wait for you to wake up.”

Qiu Tong’s red lips had gone pale. She quietly placed her hand on Jin Yang’s chest and tried her best to transfer the last trace of her special ability to him.

Some color returned to Jin Yang’s face. Qiu Tong heaved a sigh of relief and placed her head in his palm.

“Don’t make me wait too long!”
