Chapter 119: Affection
Song Yan did not expect Qiu Tong to want the right to use the drones. He stared at Qiu Tong for a while, pondering before he nodded in agreement.
The officers calculated the military funds and felt their hearts bleed at the thought of all that money that would flow into Qiu Tong’s wallet.
Qiu Tong was a mere woman. But she was able to earn such an exorbitant fee just by removing a few screws?
The officers muttered in their hearts with dissatisfaction. They wished they voice out their displeasure. Qiu Tong could naturally see their distress but she ignored it. Instead, she clapped her hands and said, “Bring over all the aircraft that you want repaired. I can modify them now…”
“It’s been hard on you, Miss Qiu! What do think about these aircraft here?”
The officers looked surprised and happy. They felt like they were on a emotional rollercoaster ride as they happily brought Qiu Tong to the storage location of two heavy-duty aircraft.
Qiu Tong sized them up and nodded. She had someone move the ladder over and turned to enter the cockpit. But she needed an assistant.
“Mr. Song Yan, if you have time, why don’t you help me with some odd jobs?”
Qiu Tong’s tone was relaxed. Song Yan saw the smile on her lips and his heart skipped a beat. He nodded and walked to Qiu Tong’s side.
Repairing heavy-duty aircraft was already rather difficult, not to mention that the damage to these machines were a result of major attacks.
Qiu Tong carefully examined the damage. She stared at the control panel and raised her hand. “A wrench.”
Song Yan stared at the side of her face in a daze. Even after waiting a long time, Qiu Tong did not receive her requested tool. She frowned and looked up at him. She waved her hand and said, “With the current efficiency, I’m afraid these planes will take three days and three nights to repair!”
Qiu Tong’s words brought back Song Yan’s mind back to the present. He looked at the woman in front of him and his heart stirred.

In the factories in the suburbs, Lin Shan recalled Shu Xian’s attitude. She was a little worried about the government’s order for the protective gear, so she rushed to the factories to personally supervise the production.

Lin Shan did not expect them to resist. She stood up in a panic and said, “I was just looking out for you!”

“By then, I will talk to Shu Xian about givng you guys promotions and salary increases!”
Lin Shan had no right to do so, but she still made a promise to the workers in a loud voice. She raised her hand and said, “As long as you can produce these protective gear within the deadline, the company will definitely give you a big bonus! Hurry up and work…”
The workers knew of Lin Shan’s relationship with Shu Xian and did not believe her nonsense at all. They were dissatisfied.
Lin Shan was bored at the factory. When she heard that Shu Xian had arrived, she hurriedly ran out and took Shu Xian’s arm as they walked out of the factory.

Qiu Tong swatted the dirt off her body with her gloves and wiped the dust off her face with the back of her hand.
Lin Shan sized her up and thought that she had lost favor with Chief Officer Fang. She happily tried to provoke her. “Who is this?”
“Why have you become so down and out? You’re so dirty. Did you go out to repair machines for the farmers?”
“Life is so hard. Why don’t you work in our factory?”
Lin Shan covered her red lips and said sarcastically, “It’ll definitely pay more than your current part-time job!”
