Chapter 106: Robbery On The Way Home

Qiu Xingqiao’s pitch-black eyes revealed his uncontrollable anger. He clenched his fists tightly, wanting to break free from Qiu Tong’s restraint like a fierce little beast.

“Let go of me! I’m going to tear her apart…”

Qiu Xingqiao’s eyes were bloodshot as he flailed around. No matter what Qiu Tong had done to them before, she was still their mother!

No one could scold or slander her!

Qiu Tong was touched. She hugged Qiu Xingqiao and comforted them gently. “If you encounter a stray dog on the street and it tries to bite you.”

“Do you bite back? Just let it bark as much as it wants!”

Qiu Tong was being deliberately sarcastic, causing Lin Shan’s face to turn ashen. She wanted to retort, but she sensed Shu Xian’s impatient gaze and could only swallow her words. Her hatred for Qiu Tong intensified.

Qiu Tong passed by Lin Shan with the three children. Taking advantage of her distraction, she quietly stretched out her leg and tripped Lin Shan, causing her to stumble and nearly fall.

Lin Shan forgot all about maintaining her image. She turned around and pointed at Qiu Tong. “You only dare to do things in secret. Challenge me face to face if you dare…”

Qiu Tong turned a deaf ear to her provocation. She rubbed the top of Qiu Xingqiao’s head and whispered to him, “Being impulsive is not the way to solve problems.”

“Neither is violence. We can make the smarter choice, right?”

Qiu Xingqiao nodded quickly and broke free from her arms. He ran to Qiu Xingyu’s side and held her hand. The family of four headed towards the market.

At the police station, Shu Xian bailed Shu Yuanwei out and helped him change into a new set of clothes. He asked, “Uncle, what happened?”

As he and Lin Shan looked on, Shu Yuanwei kept cursing Qiu Tong. He spat out especially nasty words and phrases. “That b*tch! I didn’t expect her to be linked to Chief Officer Fang. Not only did she steal my business, she even got me into this wretched state!”

“I must settle my scores with her!”

“Sooner or later, I’ll have that b*tch kowtow to me and admit her mistake. Otherwise, my surname won’t be Shu!”

Lin Shan listened to Shu Yuanwei’s words and turned to look at Chief Officer Fang, who was talking to the police officer. She silently guessed that he was the big shot that Qiu Tong had hooked up with! As long as she could gain Chief Officer Fang’s favor and snatch away Qiu Tong’s sugar daddy, everything she had would be hers!

When the time came, Qiu Tong would have no choice but to obey her every whim.

At the thought of this, Lin Shan was secretly elated as she imagined the future. She looked at Chief Officer Fang and her fiery red lips curled up.

Qiu Tong brought the children back to the market and looked at the old farmer’s cart full of grains. She wanted to move them back herself.

“I’ll help Mommy!”

“Me too!”

Qiu Xingyuan and Qiu Xingqiao pushed the cart while Qiu Xingyu sat on it, solemnly holding all the bags of grains together so that not even a grain of rice would fall off!

Qiu Tong watched as Qiu Xingyuan awkwardly shifted his gaze away, but refused to let her push the car. Her heart warmed.

The family of four pushed the cart into an alley not far from the grain shop. Suddenly, a few burly gangsters appeared from afar and looked at them with ferocious expressions.

The gangsters whistled and patted the wooden sticks in their hands. They looked at Qiu Tong and the three children and shouted in a hoarse voice, “Leave the grain behind and we’ll let you live!”

“Don’t blame us for being ruthless. We were paid to do this!”

“Blame yourselves for offending someone you shouldn’t have!”

The gangsters did not hide anything. They revealed that it was Shu Yuanwei who hired them.

When Shu Yuanwei came out of the police station, he felt that things were not going well for him. He knew that Qiu Tong would definitely find a way to move the grains back, so he thought of hiring thugs to teach her a lesson.

Qiu Tong looked at them and rotated her wrist calmly. She said in a clear voice, “How long are you going to just stand there and watch?”

“Do I have to deal with them myself?”

Ke Le and the others walked out from a corner. They scratched their heads and smiled foolishly. “Boss, we think they’re too weak.”

“They are not worth it at all!”

The smile in Ke Le’s eyes faded when he turned to look at the gangsters. What replaced it was a thick murderous aura. The mercenaries surrounded the gangsters, their movements agile as their punches landed heavily upon them!

The gangsters had no chance of fighting back at all. They hugged their heads and fled in all directions.
