Though the party was held in Aurora’s name, Alexia remained the locus of attention.

Aurora didn’t mind this, however. In fact, she welcomed it. Though she had been educated in matters of etiquette and proper noble demeanor, she had no love for social gatherings like this and would prefer not to attend if given the choice. Nonetheless, as the princess of the Subila Kingdom and heir to the throne, she had to force herself to participate in these social functions. Especially if they were put together by her sister.

At the banquet, Aurora got to know many powerful people of the Dragon kingdom and many foreign dignitaries, making this trip worth taking.

As the celebrations reached their full swing, the many nobles present walked around and chattered with glasses of wine in their hands. Ladies and gentlemen danced in the middle of the hall as the bards weaved dulcet melodies with their instruments.

Aurora, like many nobles, wandered in this luxury. She recalled the information that Alexia had given her earlier and flitted from group to group, introducing herself and making small talk with the nobles of Dragon City.

The nobles of the Dragon Kingdom had to give Aurora some face, especially when their queen had allowed her to live in the palace. This basically almost confirmed her identity as a daughter of the Dragon God. Whether it was Aurora’s political identity or religious identity, these could not beat her identity as the Dragon God’s daughter.

Aurora felt her smile stiffen after a long time. After bidding farewell to a marquis, she was ready to take a break. Despite her legendary rank, she felt exhausted.

Soon, Aurora came to the second floor and saw Louie in the corner while holding the railing and looking down at the people with interest.

After hesitating for a while she walked over to him.

In truth, she did not want to see Louie, because every time she got close to her father, she would feel her heart beating faster. The feeling of excitement from deep within her was something that went against human ethics.

However, Aurora’s ethics as a dragon told her that this was normal and that she should expect more.

With this worry in her heart, she could only hope to not meet her Father God here, so that she wouldn’t embarrass herself.

But contrary to her wishes, she still met her Father God here, so she naturally had to come and greet him.

“Father God.”

Walking up to Louie’s side, Aurora talked in a small voice as if she had turned into a shy little girl.

Louie, who was still making plans for the future, withdrew from his thoughts and slowly turned his head to his daughter “Don’t call me Father God here. Just call me Count Ramses and don’t be too respectful. People will become suspicious.”

“Yes, Count Ramses.”

It was a difficult thing, given her position and all she had learned throughout her life, to truly treat Louie with less respect. Nonetheless, she tried her best.

Louie did correct her further. After all, if Aurora was really disrespectful to him, he would be furious despite that being his own instruction.

In the past, Louie always felt that the minds of those in power were unpredictable. What they said was always completely different from what they thought in their hearts.

“Aurora, your heart is beating fast.”

Louis's gaze swept toward the girl beside him. Today, Aurora was dressed in an elaborate court gown, a floor-length dress that resembled the most beautiful flower in the realm of elves. Her waist was adorned with precious gemstones, while the low-cut neckline and smooth, snowy white skin spoke of the girl's graceful figure and enticing allure.

“Because seeing you makes me a little nervous.”

Aurora stammered a bit as she panicked under Louie’s gaze.

“You are indeed nervous, Aurora! But it’s not the nervousness of seeing your father, but the nervousness of seeing your beloved.”

Louie suddenly went straight to the point and cut into the crux of Aurora’s matter.

Aurora panicked. Her face turned beet red with shame and she said anxiously, “Father God, what are you saying!”

“No need to feel ashamed or inferior, Aurora! Remember, we are dragons!”

A single sentence from Louie left Aurora even more embarrassed. Her emotions were becoming more and more complex. She did not know if she should feel happy or scared at Louie’s words. She realized that she might have been overthinking things. Her nervousness and confusion seemed insignificant to her Father God, who appeared to have an indifferent state of mind.

Yes, they were dragons. Her Father God was the Dragon God. By the ethics of dragons, this kind of emotion was allowed and could be said openly. Her father was also a god who did not care about human ideas.

Although she thought like this, Aurora could not let herself completely accept it. She had lived among humans for twenty years of her life, so her morals and ethics were closer to that of humans. Even if the dragon bloodline influenced her, it was not enough to turn her morals and ethics around.

Aurora grew increasingly restless. She longed to confide in someone, but as she pondered her options, she realized that the only person she could truly confide in was her mother, the Queen. However, Aurora knew that if she dared to share the same feelings as her mother, she would surely be encouraged to pursue the love of her Father God. After all, her mother was someone who didn’t resemble humans in her way of thinking. Her point of view seemed to view things from a godly perspective. Sometimes, Aurora could not help but feel that her mother was actively trying to think and act like a god.

For a moment, silence descended upon them. Her flawless countenance was filled with shyness and delight. One moment she was happy, and the next she was anxious, making her facial expressions shift quicker than turning pages of a book.

From other people’s viewpoint, Aurora was just chatting with a young noble of Dragon City. Her rapid changes in expressions made it seem like she was in the throes of youthful affection from afar.

Among the bystanders, a handsome noble youth thought for a bit and climbed to the second floor, walking to Aurora’s side.

“Your Highness Aurora, what are you talking about with this gentleman?”

The noble youth spoke courteously, making even his impolite actions seem somehow acceptable.

This youth’s sudden arrival woke up Aurora from her thoughts. She hurriedly calmed down and regained her princessly demeanor. She pursed her lips and smiled, “It’s nothing. I’m just talking with Count Ramses about what he saw and heard in Dragon City. I marveled at his stories and became lost in thought, Mr. Savoy.”

The young man named Savoy looked at Louie and spoke in an elegant tone, “Pleased to meet you, Mr. Ramses. I am Savoy, Elvis Savoy. May I know your family name?”

The Savoy family was one of the core families of the Dragon Kingdom with the rank of duke. This young man in front should be the next duke.

‘Could he have taken a fancy to Aurora and come over to mess with me? I’m not interested in playing pretentious games.’

Louie smiled and shook hands with the young man in front of him. He decided that if this young man dared to show even a little hostility or mock him, he would directly send him to his divine kingdom along with his family.

He was a ferocious dragon and a petty god.

But Louie found that he did not seem to have to do so. The real heir of great nobility seemed to be sensible enough to not do such stupid things.
