Chapter 181: Just focus on mana

After going below through mysterious tunnels like a labyrinth, Reylin and Aria finally saw the light.

It was a bright blue light that lit up their faces.

However, shock contorted their expressions and widened their lips after going through this very light.

"This is a scenery I've expected," Reylin said while holding his girlfriend's hand tighter.

The ceiling was simply the ocean's bottom. For some reason, however, it shone brightly in aqua color, turning the swimming monsters bare to humans' eyes. Those ocean monsters were after fishes from the Earth. Yet, their forms possessed sharp weapons, spikes, and naturally more terrifying jaws.

They were swimming in circles, seemingly on the mission, and looking quite vigilant. It wasn't like anyone except Reylin, the ascended, and Nerven Race could threaten them, yet their senses were sharp as their weapons.

Aria smiled widely, "If we imagine them all gone, then the scenery is top tier. I would love to have a date here."

"Out of all places, you want a date here?" Reylin chuckled as he retracted his eyes from the beautiful ceiling.

The scenery around them was much worse.

Their feet sank in dark mud while one simply couldn't look toward the direction's ends, "Wait... Can we reach another continent through this place?"

The tunnel was behind them, and it was the only wall here except the blue ocean with a transparent ceiling. All other directions were swallowed by darkness, and no one really knew what lay beyond.

Aria shrugged, "Nowadays, I treat every time with you as a date."

Lion Ghost replied to Reylin's inquiry, "You see a darkness because this is a sealed place. Beyond this darkness is another water where monsters live."

The gates toward the lion's inheritance stood in the middle.

Those gates would open for everyone. Of course, that was due to the two roads within. Anyone who stumbled upon those would face the invader route. Going through the challenging and rather impossible path would be their only way!

Lion Ghost knew about the second path, and that was the path that would test Lioness.

His jaw parted, and an unknown language flew out of his mouth. Those words held no meaning in his mind, yet he spoke them with fluency! That was due to the Lion King's instilling it into his soul!

After the doors opened, the Lion Ghost spun around and faced the couple, "Crimson Dragon will be able to help Lioness during the trial. But he won't be able to attend the last one. Moreover, even though you enter together, you will fight alone. It's just that the hurdles will be easier."

The couple nodded, then stepped in.

[Lion King's Inheritance Dungeon.]

[You have entered the dungeon.]

[Crown Reylin and Lioness have been classified as a couple.]

[Due to your status as a couple, your enemies will share HP and MP.]

"Reylin, I want you to just burn their MP," Lioness said after reading the system's content.

In a normal dungeon's raid, the challenger would face one beast after beast. It didn't matter how many players would enter it. They all would tread alone and face their enemies with their own strength.

The couple status allowed the enemies to share HP and MP, meaning that Lioness could as well just wait for Reylin's Crimson Dragon to end enemies.

That was not what she wanted, however.

"I am your Queen, The Lion Queen. That Queen doesn't plan to just stay behind you and support you with cute roars," Lioness added with a wide smile.

Reylin laughed, "Your 'Rawr' might win a few wars for us. Alright, I will focus on their mana alone."

After Lioness nodded, the couple stepped for the first trial. The dungeon naturally separated them, then each faced the same enemy.

The first enemy was a lion with white fur.

His fur was abundant, seeming royal and quite fluffy. That kind of lion would look good on exhibition, making Reylin feel nothing but rather pleasant feelings. Alas, it changed when the jaw widely spread, and howling filled the room!

ROAR!

"Not my cute rawr," Reylin chuckled, then summoned Crimson Dragon in a small form.

That little dragon form seemed closer to the lizard, and it crawled around Reylin's whole arm, "You will enter his system and sear its mana. Remember, you can't even deal one damage point as that's your Queen's wish."

Crimson Dragon's eyes gleamed in seriousness, and he swore to fulfill the Queen's wish. Flapping his wings silently, the rare existence flew toward the white lion.

Alas, he didn't go unnoticed.

White Lion saw through it and raised its paw to kill!

"Nope, you don't," Reylin chortled, his hand extended toward that terrifying paw!

He grasped it tightly, then raised his other hand that naturally blocked the beast's second attempt to wound him.

Reylin then used his high-strength stat and kicked the white lion away. His hands promptly grabbed the lion's jaw, then. Exerting his all, Reylin opened the jaw, then his Crimson Dragon slipped in.

Burning just mana alone was not an easy feat.

One would need a particular skill for it, but Reylin was the closest player to mana. He also had his own mana, meaning that he was the only one who could achieve this without any skill.

Crimson Dragon sent the positive message soon enough.

[Your Crimson Dragon has started searing the White Lion's Mana.]

In another room, the Lioness matched the White Lion with her sword. She immediately engaged in close combat with him and used her excessive bloodline on the first slash! She left a deep cut that just heightened over time.

At last, she cutely roared and erased the existence.

Reylin, who saw the message, whistled, "That was fast. We didn't even erase all mana, did we?"

His Crimson Dragon spat.

"We didn't. Haha," he laughed and went toward the next room.

Following rooms had different lions and then the enemies from the past. Those were enemies that lions personally erased, meaning that their Queen was also forced to achieve the same feat, which Lioness naturally did.

In the blink of an eye, Reylin stood before the last gates.

The last gates were out of his reach, however.

[Your Crimson Dragon's System found a foreign entity.]

"It's good that I came here with her," Reylin narrowed his eyes, then broke the dungeon's system as he found someone else within the trail!
