Chapter 26: Alina’s True Identity

Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations

In Grant Forest.

Rex was filled with grief as he looked at Bart’s tragic body.

Giles and Alina didn’t say anything and simply watched quietly from the side.

“Alright, let’s head back,” Rex said to Giles after carefully keeping Bart’s body.

Giles nodded.

Then, the three of them walked out of the forest.

They did not encounter any danger along the way and soon made it out of the forest.

Looking at the open space outside, Giles took a deep breath..

Five people joined this operation, but only the three of them are still alive.

This is the world of Beast Tamers.

Giles thought to himself as he glanced at Rex and Alina.

“Let’s go back to Yin City.”

Then, they summoned their flying spirit beasts and flew towards Yin City.

It was silent the whole journey.

The three of them returned to Yin City very quickly.

As soon as they entered the city, Rex left the team.

He was a Commander of Yin City’s City Guards.

Now that they had returned from their mission, he naturally had to report back immediately.

Giles and Alina stood on the street.

“It feels like a dream.”

Alina looked around at the crowd and smiled.

“Yeah, it feels like a dream.”

Giles felt the same way. freew(e)bnovel.(c)om

“Are you going straight back to Starlux Gym?” Alina asked out of the blue.

Giles nodded.

“Do you mind if I go and take a look?” Alina spoke again.

Naturally, Giles wouldn’t turn her down, so the two of them immediately rushed towards the gym.

A while later…

Giles looked helplessly at the spirit beasts surrounding him.

“All of you move aside, I still have something on. I’ll tell you a story when I’m done.”

Upon hearing this, the group of spirit beast cubs dispersed.

Then, Giles went to the spirit-beast section and placed the stone he obtained from the cave in a corner.

To be safe, Giles summoned the Three-headed Hellhound.

He told it to stay here and look after the stone. If there were any abnormal movements, he asked it to contact him directly.

Then, Giles looked at Alina.

“I’m going to the Trade Center. Do you want to go?”

Alina deliberated for a moment before nodding.

“Since I have nothing to do, I’ll come with you.”

Then, the two of them rushed to the Trade Center.

Giles was prepared to sell some of his gains from this trip and then buy some resources to nurture his spirit beasts.

Soon, the two of them walked through a few streets and arrived at Yin City’s Trade Center.

It was an open street.

There were various shops and stalls inside.

In this place, almost anything could be bought.

Giles rarely came here, so as he looked at the multitude of stalls now, he did not know where to go.

“Alina, do you have any recommendations?”

Giles had already told her the purpose of his trip.

A smile appeared on Alina’s face.

“In that case, come with me.”

A moment later, Alina led Giles to a store.

This shop was called the ‘Spirit Beast Chamber of Commerce’.

Upon seeing this, Giles could not help but take a second glance.

This was because the Spirit Beast Chamber of Commerce was the largest merchants association in this world.

It was the second most powerful force apart from the Beast Tamer Association.

While he was thinking this, Giles followed Alina inside.

“Hello, Miss Alina.”

The moment they entered, the person in charge at the counter saw Alina and came over to greet her.

Seeing this, Giles looked at Alina curiously.

“Why does he know you?”

“Because my father owns this place,” Alina replied to him with a smile on her face.

Upon hearing this, Giles was extremely surprised.

Alina’s father was the founder of the Spirit Beast Chamber of Commerce.

At the same time, Giles was a little puzzled.

In that case, why did Alina go to Grant Forest alone?

If she wanted to take action, why not directly hire a few high-rank Beast Tamers?

Giles expressed his doubts openly.

Alina brushed back her long blond hair and answered, “I sneaked out. After all, I don’t have many days left to live. I just treated it as me going out to play.”

“Besides, I thought that the team would be safe with two Epic-rank Beast Tamers. Who knew that so much would happen? If it weren’t for you, I would have died.”

At this point, Alina’s beautiful eyes glanced at Giles.

When he heard this, Giles’ mouth twitched but he said nothing.

Then, he went straight to the person in charge of the Chamber of Commerce and prepared to sell the resources he had obtained.

When Alina saw this, she said, “Uncle Gars, give him the best price.”

Gars was the person in charge of this Chamber of Commerce.

Upon hearing this, he sized Giles up curiously.

He did not turn Alina down and offered a price far higher than the market average.

Then, Giles bought some resources that his spirit beasts needed.

However, he did not pay for all these.

Alina said it was to repay him for saving her life.

Giles didn’t say much either. He could accept this favor.

Just as he was about to leave, a man in his twenties suddenly walked into the Chamber of Commerce. His eyes lit up when he saw Alina.

“Where were you yesterday, Alina? I couldn’t find you.”

Alina frowned when she saw the man.

“Henry, do I have to report to you about my whereabouts?”

The man called Henry did not get angry when he heard this.

“No, I’m just worried about you.”

“Can I have dinner with you tonight?”

Alina glanced at him. Then, she pulled Giles over and wrapped her arms around one of his arms.

“Henry, I’m going out with Giles on a date tonight. Please don’t pester me anymore.”

Henry’s eyes reddened at the sight. He looked at Alina and Giles with a red face.

“Giles? Isn’t he that trash that can only contract Bronze-rank spirit beasts?”

“Giles, I advise you to leave Alina, or else I’ll teach you a lesson!”

Feeling the warmth coming from his arm, Giles felt helpless.

However, since he would not lose out either way, Giles was happy to help Alina resolve this problem.

He ignored Henry’s threat and left with Alina.

After walking out of the Trade Center, Alina released her hold on Giles’ arm and looked at him with a flushed face.

“Henry has been courting me, but I don’t like him. Thank you for helping me today.”

“You’re welcome. If there’s nothing else, I’ll head back first.”

With that, Giles headed for the gym.

From where she stood, Alina watched Giles’ back view, her eyes glowing with wonder.

She then thought about her illness and sighed before turning to leave.

On the other hand, the more Henry thought about it, the angrier he became.

A piece of trash that could only contract Bronze-rank spirit beasts dared to ignore me.

Then, he rushed towards Starlux Gym.

Along the way, he encountered a few people wearing blood-red robes.

Based on the direction they were headed, they were also heading to Starlux Gym.

However, Henry didn’t take it to heart, and simply thought about how he was going to teach Giles a lesson later.
