Chapter 85: Trying to Bring Him to Their Side

Chen Jingzhai looked at the group of disciples in shock.

“We’re pretty sure that Master-Uncle will be sent to Pulao Kingdom after the battle forum.” Zhao Qinghe grinned. “Many of our peers will be attending the Battle of Dragon too. Isn’t it normal for us to work under Master-Uncle’s lead to avoid fighting amongst ourselves?”

“Qinghe is right.” Jiang Lin agreed. “Although we at Wine Celestial Peak don’t want to participate, we just couldn’t ignore the clan’s order. So since it has come down to that, we’ll follow Master-Uncle instead.”

“Same here too!” Zhang Kui raised his hand.

“My master has also ordered me to follow Master-Uncle,” Xue Fan said. “If you’re going to participate in the Battle of Dragon, I’ll follow you as well.”

Other than Sun Changrong and Zhou Yuanhao, the other disciples all mentioned that they would follow Chen Jingzhai.

“Isn’t this an important matter? How can you guys decide this so hastily?” Chen Jingzhai frowned. “You shouldn’t rely on luck when it’s a chance for you to experience the real world. You guys shouldn’t laze around either.”

“We haven’t completely established our foundation yet.” Li Yifei smiled. “The training in the mortal world is best suited for those who have. To us, it’s nothing more than a test of our will.”

“That’s right.” Zhao Qinghe nodded. “It’s almost impossible for us to reach the Complete Foundation Plane in such a short time, and we shouldn’t rely on elixirs or the Essence Power Pearls either.”

One of the biggest taboos of celestial clans was to raise one’s cultivation solely using elixirs, especially for those still in the Foundation Establishment Plane.

One could try to cultivate as fast as they could when they had finally induced Qi into their body, but it would be different once they had started to establish their foundation—taking their time after that was the key.

They had to slowly polish their spiritual power for it to become purer. So it wouldn’t matter if their cultivation was increasing at a slower pace during that period, as it was all to prepare them for when they gathered their core.

Unable to convince the disciples otherwise, Chen Jingzhai remained silent on the matter.

After finishing the spirit tea, Jiang Lin took out a bottle of wine and continued the conversation.

Even just the stories of Pulao Kingdom were enough to last forever.

There was an even bigger world outside the kingdom, but leaving the kingdom wasn’t as easy as one would think.

Most only knew a fraction of the kingdom, and that only made Chen Jingzhai even more curious.

Three days and three nights passed by in an instant.

The group of people left on the fourth day, some to a friendly spar, while the others returned to their own branches.

However, the liveliness in Tianyahai Pavilion did not stop there. Instead, it was just the beginning.

Not only was Chen Jingzhai busy with the elixir alchemy missions that Sage Hao had assigned to him, but a lot of disciples of Daoxuan Peak had visited him, asking for his teachings on formations.

Naturally, Chen Jingzhai could’ve refused to teach them as he was busy, but it would mean that he would lose out on the chance too.

Without much time to think, Chen Jingzhai accepted the mission from Deacon Hall first.

He then only accepted to teach the disciples of Daoxuan Peak once every ten days.

Chen Jingzhai would also occasionally invite Sun Changrong and Li Yifei over to discuss the formations too.

He had received three different formations from the secret zone and did not hand any of them to the Peak Master.

He wouldn’t mind if he were forced to hand in the other two formations, but the Golden Kraken Silhouette Formation was too important for him to lose.

It was the key to breaking the Restrictions on the immortal abode.

Even if Chen Jingzhai did not want to keep the formation to himself, it would be hard for him to hand it in.

He also used his spare time to absorb the other two formations with the Great Heaven Mirror.

The two formations were the Mountain Duplication Formation and the Twin Cranes Duplication Formation. Both were Grade 2 formations.

Chen Jingzhai didn’t find any complications when setting up the two Grade 2 formations, but he had some trouble with the Golden Kraken Silhouette Formation.

Fortunately, he would be able to absorb the last formation with the Great Heaven Mirror once he was able to form his core freely.

There was no need for him to rush it.

Time passed by quickly due to his busy schedule.

Ever since Chen Jingzhai was able to produce a considerable amount of high-quality Grade 2 elixirs, the progress of the disciples of Daoxuan Peak had skyrocketed.

After receiving more than a dozen Foundation Establishment Elixirs, the disciples of five elders in Seclusion Training could completely establish their foundation.

Not only did Chen Jingzhai earn a lot of spiritual stones, but the elders also now owed him a favor each.

The masters at Elixir Peak also praised his skills and wanted to invite him over to share his experience with the disciples over there.

Most of them were envious of his skills.

Even some of the Grade 3 elixir alchemists were curious, too, as it was hard to produce Foundation Establishment Elixirs, yet Chen Jingzhai was able to produce a whole lot of them.

Not only that, but his production rate was way higher than other Grade 2 elixir alchemists and was even higher than the Grade 3 alchemists.

It would’ve been easy if Chen Jingzhai was a mere disciple. Then, all they needed to do to know his trick was to let an elder question him.

However, Chen Jingzhai was their Master-Uncle, and most of their methods to make other disciples talk would not work on him.

Also, they didn’t want to get on the wrong side of Daoxuan Peak.

The elders of Elixir Peak had to use a lot of effort to invite Chen Jingzhai over.

They had sent Bai Jinfei and other disciples to greet him and try to lure him with a few secret production techniques.

Unfortunately for them, Chen Jingzhai wasn’t fazed by those things, as elixir alchemy wasn’t his main focus. The only reason he started to walk down the path of elixir alchemy was so he could gather all the resources he needed.

That was why he wasn’t interested in the secret techniques.

There was also the fact that he could use his talent on the Pill Extraction and Purification Scripture.

He didn’t have any glorious goals in elixir alchemy. He was just seeking what he needed.

On the other hand, formations were his foundation. Thus, they were something that he could not neglect.

On the day Chen Jingzhai finished the elixir mission, he left Tianyahai Pavilion and headed to Deacon Hall.

“Master-Uncle!” Hao Feng personally greeted him. “The Foundation Establishment Elixirs...”

“I don’t have any left.” Chen Jingzhai immediately waved his arm.

Ever since people had heard about his production rate, a lot had approached him asking for some elixirs.

As there were many branches in the clan, many elders with disciples or families had yet to establish their foundation.

There was no way they wouldn’t be excited when they had finally found hope.

By calculations, Chen Jingzhai should be able to produce 144 elixirs out of eight sets of ingredients.

“Other than the 16 elixirs you have gifted to the disciples, you have only handed in less than 30 elixirs...” Hao Feng pouted. “We’ve already paid you with Essence Power Pearls.”

Although Foundation Establishment Elixirs were expensive, one was far from enough for those who needed the elixirs.

Chen Jingzhai had sold a few to Deacon Hall in exchange for 50 Essence Power Pearls.

“Then, do you have any more pearls lying around?” Chen Jingzhai remained expressionless. “If you do, I can sell the elixirs to you.”

“We don’t have any pearls in stock for now, but we do have other items,” Sage Hao said. “Aren’t you looking for some swords from Heavenly Artisan Peak? To be honest, we also have some in our storage. So why don’t you take a look at it?”

“Hah! I would never have had a chance to take a look at the treasure storage if not for this!” Chen Jingzhai grinned sinisterly. “It’s not like the Foundation Establishment Elixirs are more expensive than the swords, but you know that I’m the most efficient in making them. Even Elixir Peak is asking me to make some for them.”

“I see...” Hao Feng smiled bitterly. “I’ll lead you to the treasure storage right away.”

The elixirs that Chen Jingzhai had made were high in both quality and quantity.

That was why all the other peaks were now trying to bring him to their side.

The sudden appearance of other competitors made Hao Feng nervous, yet there was nothing he could do about it.

Not only was Chen Jingzhai his Master-Uncle, but the boy was also the direct disciple of Hongluan Peak.

He didn’t have the authority, and neither did the Peak Master.

The Sage had no choice but to exchange the elixirs for something valuable.

Chen Jingzhai pretended as if he had no idea what was happening and waited.

That only made Hao Feng even more desperate.

“Disciple nephew, how could you hide these from me all this time?” Chen Jingzhai couldn’t help but bicker when he saw all the treasures lying in the storage. “You have no idea how much these are worth.”

“Is that so? After you, Master-Uncle.”
