Soon time passed, and under the threat of the weapon in Alvin's hand, things proceeded smoothly. Now all that was left was to make sure no one was missing among the Amazons.
Looking at the now tied-up Diana, Judging from her behaviour earlier, Alvin could tell that she was someone in charge or at least had a very high level of power among them
Thinking of this, he decided to focus his next set of questions on her
"You there! I have a few questions for you, and don't try to play any tricks!"
Saying that Alvin waved his staff fiercely as he tried to intimidate her.
Unfortunately, Diana didn't feel intimidated, rather she felt humiliated thinking of someone of her calibre being forced to kneel and be tied up.
Sighing slightly although angry, Diana knew she had no choice but to refuse
"Haha yes ask away, it doesn't seem like we could run away or anything"
Raising up her tied hands, Diana answered back in a somewhat sarcastic tone.
Unfortunately, Alvin who at this moment was still trying to calm himself down didn't pay too much attention to this matter.
Now hearing Diana agree, he decided to go ahead and ask some questions.
" Firstly, the language you're speaking, how did you know it?"
" Secondly, what race are you? Human? And if you're human, why do you get strong during the day and weaker at night?"
", And lastly, are the few of you tied up here the whole tribe?"
Without wasting too much time, Alvin quickly asked the three most important questions at the top of his mind.
However as soon as he asked the question, what Alvin received next was silence rather than the answer he was expecting
Even Diana who had been ready to cooperate and stall till her sister Melinda came back couldn't help but keep quiet after all, each of those questions to chef sensitive topics for the Amazons
Firstly, the language they spoke 'Elian' was the official language of the main plane where Alvin and Elric lived before, now seeing two natives of this small plane being able to speak it so fluently, Alvin felt they must be a big secret involved.
And second regarding their race, although the Amazons' features looked completely human in the eyes of Alvin, however considering their immense physical strength during the day, this alone made Alvin doubt their race. Now taking advantage of this situation, Alvin decided to confirm if they were human or not.
And lastly, regarding the source of their power, this was something that had been at the back of Alvin's mind for a while now. For a while now, no matter how much Alvin stalked them and investigated them, Alvin could never find the source, and this was very important to his and Elric's next plan.
After all, assuming the Amazons were human, then presumably their source of gaining strength should be applicable to others if not all humans.
Thinking of this, Alvin's gaze toward Diana intensified as if he couldn't wait to cut her open and study her for himself,
However, considering Elric's words to him before waving, Alvin quickly withdrew his gaze.
Soon time passed, and it seems like the importance and level of secrecy on those three questions was way higher than Alvin expected, as even under his constant threats, the whole tribe remained silent unwilling to say anything
"Ho? Do you think I was joking, if someone doesn't say something now, I don't mind blowing up one of you as an example!"
Already on the verge of tripping, the Amazon's sudden silence didn't help things, as they increased Alvin's level of frustration
Now feeling their lack of cooperation, Alvin decided to blow up a few people, hopefully, this would help calm him down while also making a statement to the few of them.
Thinking of this, Alvin raised his staff as he scanned the crowd ready to pick a victim.
Unfortunately for the Amazons, this time Lilith didn't stand up for them, for she too felt a bit frustrated by their sudden lack of cooperation, hopefully, the scene of a few of them exploding would help them make a better choice.
"Alright Morgana, let's go see the outside situation before we make any other plans."
Just when Alvin was about to pick a target, a conversation suddenly sounded not too far from him gaining his attention. Turning his head, Alvin's eyes glowed with excitement as he seemed to have found his target.
Coming out of a large hut not too far from them, the figures of Melinda, Rowena, Morgana, and Minerva could be seen
And judging from the Aura they exuded, Alvin could them that the power or position they held, would probably be more than the Diana in front of him
Especially since he noticed the fact that as soon as the three of them purposefully walked two steps behind Melinda, Alvin even speculated she was the head of the whole tribe. Thinking of this, a sinister thought suddenly came to his mind
*What would happen if I blow up their leader in front of them, should that be enough to break them?"
"Or at least kill their spirits to the point where they can answer all my questions?"
In fact, Alvin thinking so wasn't unfounded, ever since the four of them walked out of the hut, Alvin had noticed smiles and a feeling of hope appear on the faces of a few amazons.
Obviously, the presence of the four brought a new sense of hope to them, and what's better for breaking someone's spirit than destroying their hope right in their face?
Thinking of this Alvin decided to act, waving his staff he pointed it in Melinda's direction, and coincidentally, it seemed that Melinda had noticed the situation wasn't right and turned towards Alvin with a look of anger on her face
However, it was too late.
Locking onto Melinda's position, Alvin didn't give her much time to react and quickly channelled his mana into the staff into his hand.
After confirming his target, Alvin suddenly gave in to the crazy within. And so with a smile on his face, he shot out one of his biggest fireballs ever
"Explosion!!"
