Chapter 6: Can you really wield two swords???

Alfred decided to charge at the wolves with a fire in his left hand and an ice thorn in his right hand, burning the five wolves to a crisp in the process and going through another wolf who was busy engaging with his companion. He manipulated his ice thorn. It elongated up and down according to his will, and it pierced the back of the wolf, piercing it to the middle of its chest; it howled for three seconds before dying.

Although his fire is powerful enough to burn them to ashes, it depletes his degu reserves so quickly that he can only use it ten times in a row before it runs out. His Ice thorn is better suited for defensive combat and attrition warfare.

Alfred bound down six wolves with his Ice thorn.

“Kill them, Jerry, Tom, and Bob!” Alfred yelled at them.

Alfred’s companies decisively retreated, leaving their adversary to pursue the enslaved wolves. while he used his fire to create a thin line of blue fire on their backs to keep the wolves from pursuing them.

“Wind Blade! Burning Fist! Wind Bullet!” The three guards use their offensive abilities quickly to kill the wolves bound in the ice thorn.

Alfred quickly retracted his Ice thorn after confirming that the wolves had indeed died.

.....

*Argh* A pained scream rang out... “My arm!” screamed one of his companions in agony.

Helius was surrounded by three wolves five meters away, one of which was eating a familiar arm. He had already predicted that casualties would be unavoidable...

Helius had a horrified expression on his face as he looked at him... “Alfred, please help! Please help!” he screamed like a cornered animal.

Alfred was about to approach him when the pack’s leader and two other wolves blocked his path.

‘Wait a minute, this pack of wolves is intelligent...’

If he fights them now, his degu reserves will be depleted quickly, but he can’t do anything.

The wolves didn’t give Alfred a time to think; the leader, who was three times the size of the others, charged at him with a quick movement. Alfred only saw an afterimage. He didn’t have a choice but to cover his body with flames.

The pack’s leader slowed and hesitated when he saw the fire covering Alfred... He looked at the others and motioned for them to stop; the other wolves obeyed, and they just growled at him.

‘They’re waiting for an opportunity,’ Alfred reasoned.

This is his only option for buying more time; if He doesn’t stop this goddamn wolf, the battle will be turned in their favor. Alfred was analyzing while also looking at Helius, who was fighting for his life with an ice sword in his one arm, trying his hardest to fend them off...

‘He won’t last long if this continues,’ Alfred thought bitterly.

The wolves attacked him at the same time as if to prove his theory... Helius, seeing his impending doom, decided to surrender and threw his Ice Sword. And he made a desperate face at the three wolves in front of him.

Alfred looked at the scene, blaming himself for being weak. This would not have happened if he had been strong enough. He wants to charge to save him, but Alfred kept telling himself that if he did so... They’re all going to perish.

Alfred was about to turn around when... Behind the wolves, a man with a neutral expression slashed them while grabbing the thrown Ice Sword. Despite his complex movement, he manages to behead one of the wolves and severely injure another.

*Whoooo!! * The wolves howled and bared their fangs at the intruder who had disrupted their mealtime...

This happened in an instant. The wolves and Alfred’s companions came to a halt in their fights as a result of the unexpected turn of events.

Alfred looked at the person who had assisted them. He was a tall man with glasses who wore a black suit with an eye logo on it... He smiled as he looked at them and then at the tree where their young mistress was hiding, as if sensing Alred’s gaze. “I just happened to pass by and I saw that you need some help here,” he said while looking at us.

Alfred looked surprised because he could detect their young mistress, who was wearing an amulet that allowed the user to blend in with their surroundings and conceal their presence.

‘Such a strong perception!’ Alfred exclaimed inwardly.

“Well, we are indeed in a pinched here. We will be grateful for the assistance...” Alfred responded quickly.

“Then it’s time to do Kirito’s specialty... I’ve been itching to do this my entire life,” the man said with a wide grin.

The man in the black suit then assumed a dual-wielding posture and challenged the remaining wolves, provoking them to attack him.

“Hey, can you really wield two swords? I’m not doubting you, but why do you only carry one sword from the start when you can wield two?” Jerry inquired, his voice uncertain.

“HEY, DON’T JOKE AROUND, I’M CLOSE TO DYING HERE!” Helius yelled angrily.

“Can you really use your dual-wielding style?” Alfred asked hesitantly.

“Well, I can learn...” he replied with a relaxed smile and a strange stance.

Alfred’s companions simply looked at him with suspicion.

The man simply charged at the wolves, whereas Alfred resolved to fight the leader, regardless. He’s sure a guy with that skill should know what he’s doing.

The battle resumed. To lessen the burden on the guy, Alfred was used his ice thorn and fire to keep the leader and the other three at bay. After all, The guy in black suit was fighting five at a time while awkwardly wielding his two swords...

Alred was perplexed as to what the fuck he was up to, and he realized at the time that the guy wasn’t lying when he said he could learn...

‘We’re completely screwed!’ Alfred’s complexion turned pale. Because he knew at this moment, they fucked up.

Alfred felt a tinge of despair in his heart... because the hope they thought would save them proved to be a farce.

Time passes...

After three minutes...

After five minutes...

Alfred was perspiring profusely... He decided to look at the new guy and hows his fight going, which Alfred later regretted... Because what he saw was simply unfathomable. The man who started out wielding two swords like a beginner was now harvesting the lives of the wolves in the middle of the flock. He was wielding the two swords gracefully, almost as if he were dancing... At the time, Alfred felt as if his worldview had crumbled into pieces.
