Chapter 14: Visiting Sofia

When Fein saw the bodies on the ground, he decided to put them in his storage space. It was only possible because they were already dead. When dealing with such a massive evil organization, Fein had to exercise extreme caution. He can also experiment with their body. Fein was curious to see how this power manifests... Is it like a quirk in MHA or an X-gene in Marvel? Is it possible to replicate their power with science? That is one of the concerns he had since arriving in this world, and it’s one he’d been dying to try. But he didn’t have the chance until now. If he can duplicate their abilities... Then he’d be literally unstoppable. So he’ll make that one of his goals for the time being.

Evil organizations like this are too dangerous to ignore, so Fein decided to report what happened here in the Ranger’s eye. Furthermore, they must prevent them from summoning the so-called Demon Lord Thanatos. Fein was disgusted with how they do things, so he decided to hinder whatever their goal is... If the Demon Lord Thanatos succeeds, he will undoubtedly be implicated. Fein will not allow anyone to obstruct his path to becoming an absolute powerhouse.

...

One week passed after the incident. Fein informed the Ranger’s Eye. It turned out that they were familiar with this organization. The only issue is that their trail is extremely difficult to follow. When he told Gregory and the others about his encounter, it made their jaws drop. Of course, he didn’t mention the existence of his storage space, and he told tell them what he intends to do to the opponent’s bodies. They questioned him about how he handled the bodies, and Fein explained that he burned them to ashes so that no one would find out what had happened. After all, this wasn’t a simple situation. It was a hidden conspiracy that had the potential to change the course of the entire world and cause widespread panic. They believed him and even complimented his decisiveness.

Fein was now on his way to Vladimir’s family to complete the transaction and gain access to their library. He’s very excited to fill in the gaps in his knowledge of the world. It was extremely distressing not to understand the intricacies of this planet.

The only thing he knows right now is that superpowers exist in this world... Which are clearly the “Degu Users.” This is in addition to his recent discovery of Demon Lords. The undercurrent in this world is really deep.

It appeared to be peaceful on the outside, but once you become involved with mysterious shits, just like what happened to him. You’ll never be able to return to your normal life.

.....

After all, who would want to live a simple life knowing that they might die by accident... This world reeks of madness, savage criminals, cultists, demons, and superhumans.

Fein got a shiver down his spine just thinking about it. As someone who has lived a peaceful life in the past, he felt a pity for the ordinary people of this world.

They have no idea that they could die at any time; they are content with their lives, oblivious to the danger. Ignorance is bliss is the exact phrase Fein can think of to describe them.

...

There was a forty-meter gate in a luxurious four-story mansion, with wires on its top that were connected to electricity.

There are eight guards with at least an E rank, and the strongest of them have already attained a C rank. Those who are having evil thoughts will piss on their pants as a result of this lineup.

This only serves to emphasize the Vladimir Family’s power and influence and power... Ultimately, Rank E is not a cabbage in the market. Only those with exceptional talent can awaken their Degu. Even then, it was unclear whether you would be able to realize your full potential.

Normal people are unaware of their existence, as influential people and powerful counties reached an agreement on this matter... Only a few people are aware, and a special organization for “Counseling” will visit them when, in reality, some shady methods such as memory erasure are taking place behind the scenes. When it comes to their own interests, humans can become eviler than the devil himself.

...

Fein was now making his way toward the gate where the bodyguards were stationed... They are extremely powerful, he must say. Not any stronger than he was. But they are a battle-tested veteran who has been baptized on the battlefield.

First and foremost, powerful families only employ competent individuals. Simply put, it is the elite of the elite. Even though they are only E Rank, it was a remarkable achievement.

Fein was only fortunate to have the ability to reach his current level of strength. Well, He’s also a hard worker, so... he’s an outlier. Don’t even try to compare his monstrous talent to theirs because it will make it appear unimpressive when it was actually quite impressive.

*Sigh*

‘It was really difficult to be a genius,’ Fein lamented quietly.

But, seriously, who wouldn’t want a strong bodyguard? High-ranking individuals put a priority on their lives above all else.

They’d already tasted the sweetness of life, and having the ability to influence the fates of countless people is a satisfying feeling. That is why people who were once poor but became wealthy never want to return to their former lives. “A mind stretched by a new experience can never return to its old dimensions.” is very true.

‘Seriously, I’ve been having a problem with my philosophical thoughts lately... Why is it that my mind wanders? As if anyone gave a fuck about my thoughts, right?’ Fein mumbled helplessly.

He was now in front of the guards, who have deadpan expressions on their faces. In contrast, some of them are already staring at Fein, as if they are ready to apprehend him if he cause trouble.

“State your purpose!” a bespectacled man asked loudly with a deadpan expression.

“I’m here for the young miss of the Vladimir’s Family, Sofia,” Fein said softly.

When they heard Sofia’s name, their deadpan expressions changed; some looked at him suspiciously, while others looked at him with awe.

“So you’re here for young miss... Can I see your invitation?” The bespectacled man’s previous stern face, replaced by a warm and welcoming smile...

Fein’s eyes twitched as a result of the abrupt change in treatment.

‘Really... I, Fain Bonifacio, would like to call to you the strongest!’ Fein vomited in his heart. ‘Well, strongest in terms of acting.’
