Chapter 13: First Kill
Cedrick didn’t think they would encounter a problem this time. They provoke another Degu user. The guy’s aura was smooth, sophisticated, and powerful. It indicates that he had complete control of his Degu.
Cedrick glanced at Kruger, and Kruger looked back at him. They already know what each other is thinking because they’ve been partners for a long time.
Without hesitation, they charged towards their enemy. Degu users’ battles are always surprising. You’re up at first, but you could lose in the next second.
Cedrick quickly utilized his ability, transforming his hands into a long, sharp scythe capable of cleaving through metal.
Kruger took a boxing position next to him, bouncing his foot on the ground in an upside-down motion. Now the enemy was staring at them calmly. The previous traces of rage on his face had vanished.
Kruger chose to launch the initial assault. He used his left hand to punch the opponent, while Cedrick quikcly followed him by blocking the enemy’s escape route.
When the Fein saw the incoming fist, he assumed a grappling stance. Kruger’s fist has been snatched from the Fein’s grasp. Fein squatted down to let Kruger fall on his own, while also using the accumulated momentum to his advantage and throwing him in Cedrick’s direction.

Cedrick used a dodging maneuver while charging at the enemy. He waved his scythe at the enemy as quickly as he could.
Because of the sharpness of his scythe, Cedrick couldn’t even feel the slightest resistance in the air. His confident that if he can just hit Fein with this, it’ll cleaved him two pieces.
Even with his quick attack, the enemy only gave him a mocking smile.
“What is he smiling at!?” Cedrick growled at Fein with killing intent.
The air creaked as a result of his quick attack speed.
‘How fast his body can be...’ Cedrick shuddered.
Every time he attacks, the enemy manages to turn his body in an uncanny manner.
As time passes... Cedrick’s rage grew stronger by the second. The enemy was behaving as if he were a fool. But Cedrick must admit that his reflexes and speed were superior to him.
“Kruger, what are you doing? We need to finish this battle,” Cedrick yelled at his companion, who was now approaching them.
Kruger was massaging the area on his forehead where the blood was flowing.
‘Shit, this isn’t looking good,’ Cedrick thought to himself.

Fein expected the battle to be fierce. but didn’t expect their abilities to be so limited. As a result, ge decided to get information from their mouth as much as possible, to know the plans of organization behind them. After all, he can’t just let them do whatever evil plans they have.
The two are now looking at Fein with trepidation. They have realized that they needed to work together in order to defeat Fein.
“You’ll take the right side, and I’ll take the left. He’s certainly strong, but can he fight the two of us forever?” Cedrick said confidently.
“As one would expect from the future leader of the A1 division,” Kruger licked his lips. Cedrick appeared pleased after hearing Kruger’s compliments.
‘They’re certainly taking their time how stupid. And is it really okay to say your plans in front of you enemy?’ Fein grumbled inside.
Fein resolved to put an end to this farce once and for all. He made a popping sound with his fist to indicate that he’s now serious.
He charged them quickly and without saying much. It was pointless to argue with idiots like them.
The two faced him, and just like their plan. Cedrick, on the other hand, moves to his left. Kruger the bald shit approached him on his right side. He attacked him with caution this time. He must have learned his lesson from the first encounter.
“Well, you’re not that stupid after all,” Fein grinned.
Fein deflected Kruger’s attack by using the defensive style of Karate, and his technique pushed him back. And just as Fein was about to punch him with a Chinese Kenpo leaf punch, the other one slashed him with his scythe. Fein must admit that his ability is lethal; He must remain cautious against it, which is why Fein decided to retract my his fist first.
Cedrick’s face was filled with rage as he looked at Fein.
“Your combat techniques are as annoying as you.” Cedrick looked at him with disdain.
“You’re an idiot, you don’t even have the attitude to respect your opponent’s martial arts, so please shut up your stinky mouth for a second, you fucking bald worthless meathead, your brain is filled with muscles,” Fein unleashed a barrage of insults that the keyboard warriors used in a comment section in his previous life.
Cedrick appeared enraged by what he said. His eyes were bloodshot, and his mouth twitched slightly.
“Fuck you!” was the only thing he managed to say before charging at Fein like a bull at full speed. His body was now surrounded by a pink barrier.
‘Gotcha,’ A scheming smile appeared on Fein’s expression.
Kruger’s eyes widened as he saw Cedrick charge at Fein, realizing that something was wrong with the situation. “Stop! He was trying to provoke you to attack.”
However, it was too late. He couldn’t hear what Kruger was saying because his rage had blinded him.
Fein took advantage of the situation by retrieving his sword from the storage area. He used Nanaya Arts: Flashing Dash and infused 30% of his Degu energy into his sword. Fein immediately accelerated to his top speed behind Cedrick and swiftly waved his sword at his neck.
His sword pierces through his neck. Kruger used his pink barrier to shield his partner, yet it just held out against Fein’s attack for at least three seconds before crumbling. Fein already expected this because his sword was infused with his degu, and his speed boosted his attack damage even more.
Blood spurted continuously on Cedrick’s neck before he realized what was going on. Fein kicked his head, sending it flying in the opposite direction.
Kruger had a horrified expression on his face as he looked at Fein.
Fein took advantage of this opportunity and used Flashing Dash to appear beside him and slash at him decisively. He stepped on the side and manage to evade it.
When Fein realized this, he gathered the full force of his body, which was equivalent to B Rank, and infused half of his degu reserves into his arm to increase its speed and swung his sword at Kruger second time. But the same pink barrier appeared and enveloped his body. But it was already too late.
*Argh!*
Kruger howled in agony, his face twisted in pain. Fein manage to counter Kruger’s ability, resulting in a backlash. His arms were now at his sides, bleeding profusely, like a dead dog.
Fein swung his sword at him, determined to take his life.
Kruger looked at Fein with hatred after realizing there was no way out.
“My lord will not let you go! Your family and friends, those close to you, will suffer! My lord will rule this world,” Kruger quipped, laughing hysterically.
