After dinner, they took a thirty-minute rest before they headed to the gym.

"This is only a spar so you guys should not injure each other." Arlan warned them.

"Don't worry, boss! I will hold myself back." Karl gave him a thumbs up.

"Enough talking. Come at me." Winter muttered as she adjusted her stance. One of her combat skills was Muay Thai and it is also her strongest fighting technique. She displayed an orthodox fighting stance with a calm look on her face.

Karl narrowed his eyes when he saw her fighting form. He knew that it was Muay Thai and based on her stance alone, he could tell that she was an expert with great combat experience. "No wonder you're arrogant." He muttered as he carefully walked towards her. He was a black belter in Taekwondo and he was also proficient in wrestling. In terms of techniques alone, he was better than many soldiers in the Special Forces.

As soon as Karl entered her range, Winter released a teep kick.

"You fell for it!" Karl grinned as he grabbed her legs, but he quickly noticed that it was actually a trap. As soon as he grabbed her legs, Winter twisted her body and sent a spinning back kick to his head.

Karl immediately released her leg and lowered his head to evade her kick.

Swoosh!

Looking at their exchange Arlan could see that Winter had the upper hand. She was the main aggressor in the fight and Karl was on the defensive most of the time.

Winter's attacks were very swift and aggressive. If Karl wasn't injected with the Body Enhancing Serum, he would have already lost the fight.

At this moment, Karl no longer dared to underestimate his opponent. His punches and kicks became faster. He also tried to take down Winter and take the battle to the ground. As long as he could hold her down, he was confident that he could make her submit with his grappling skills. However, Winter was like a slippery eel. She always managed to evade his strikes and when he was about to take her down, she sent a knee kick which almost hit his jaw.

"Fine. I surrender." Karl clicked his tongue after admitting defeat. He didn't expect Winter to be so good in Muay Thai. He was already an expert himself, but he couldn't even land a blow on her body.

Winter didn't say anything and just walked towards Arlan. "Boss, can I go back upstairs? I still need to make the system." She muttered.

"Alright, but don't overdo it. You can also rest sometimes." Arlan didn't want her to exhaust herself in making the system for the Virtual World. Although Winter was an Advanced Artificial Life Form, she also needed energy to survive. Furthermore, Arlan didn't have the technology to repair her if something goes wrong.

"I know my limits." Winter replied before walking out of the gym.

"Boss, that woman is strong, but she is too cold that she doesn't seem like a human anymore." Karl sighed and shook his head.

Arlan stared at him and smiled. 'You really hit the nail right there.' He thought. "You should go back and rest. We have plenty of things to do tomorrow."

"Yes, boss!"

Arlan went to the bathroom and took a hot shower before he went to sleep.

[Congratulations! You claimed 69,000 dollars!]

Arlan turned off his phone after claiming his daily reward. He then took a hot shower before heading to his study.

When he entered the room, he noticed that the lights were on. He saw that Winter was still working on the system of the Virtual World so he didn't disturb her. He left the study and headed downstairs.

"Good morning, boss!" The person who greeted him was Catherine. She was one of the eight maids in the villa.

"Good morning. Where is Joy?" Arlan asked with a smile. Joy was Catherine's four-year-old daughter and she was already a kindergarten student. She was an adorable little girl who loves to feed the fishes and turtles in his pond.

"She already went to school, boss." Catherine answered with a loving smile. Her daughter was her source of happiness and motivation. Without her, she would have already fallen into depression.

Hearing this, Arlan stared at his watch in surprise. "Eh? Kindergarten students actually go to school so early in the morning?"

"Yes, boss. Her school starts at 6:30 a.m. It's indeed quite early, but Joy is a very diligent girl and she also sleeps early at night. You give us high salaries so I can take her to school in a taxi every day." Catherine chuckled.

"That won't do. You can use my car next time, instead of riding a taxi. Hold on. Let me grab the keys for you." Before Catherine could say anything, Arlan headed back to his room to grab the key for his Honda Civic Type R. He haven't used the car lately so he could let Catherine use it temporarily while she was still saving money to buy her own car. He could buy her a car, but she might think that he had some ulterior motives and the others might also misunderstand. He didn't want any discord between his people so no matter how much he liked Joy, he couldn't be biased to her mother just because of her.

"Here. You can use it temporarily. You can return it to me once you've bought your own car." Arlan handed the key to her.

"This..."

When he saw her hesitating, he grabbed her hand and put the key in her palm. "Take it."

Catherine almost burst into tears, but she still managed to give him a smile. "Thank you, boss. I will return it to you soon."

"There's no hurry." Arlan patted her shoulder. He then noticed a few pairs of eyes looking at them strangely. They were Thelma and the other maids.

To prevent any major misunderstandings, he immediately said. "If you guys also want to borrow my cars, just tell me, okay?"

"Yes, boss!"

"Yes, boss!"

Jonas suddenly walked in and bowed to him. "Boss, there is a package for you."

"Oh? Take me to see it."
