Arlan's first reaction when he saw this guy was one of shock, but he soon calmed down. The mysterious app had already given him a lot of surprises and this one was just a little bit more shocking.
The person lying inside the metal box was no different than a human. Arlan even tried poking the man's arm and when he felt the warmth of the man's body, he was surprised.
Suddenly, the man's eyes sprung open. He tilted his head slightly and stared at Arlan with a calm expression. He then abruptly stood up, making his banana tremble up and down. Arlan's mouth twitched at the sight of this.
When he was customizing this Advanced Artificial Life Form, Arlan programmed his personality to be similar to that of a trained mercenary. Arlan had his reasons on why he customized this guy to look half-Asian and half-African. He wanted to create an identity of an African mercenary who is now working as his bodyguard. Initially, he wanted to create a woman since people would tend to overlook them during critical situations. However, he noticed that the Advanced Artificial Life Form with a male body was stronger compared to one with a female body. To make the comparison more specific, the female life form had a strength of level 10, while the male life form had a strength of level 12. After learning about this, he decisively created a male life form.
"From now on, your name will be Khalon. You were a mercenary from South Africa, but you are now working as my bodyguard. You can just call me boss." Arlan felt a bit more confident now that he had Khalon. This guy's physical abilities were ten times superior to that of an average adult male! His doorbell suddenly rang three times.
"It must be them." Arlan smiled as he looked at the time on his watch. It was about time for his new employees to arrive.
"Let's go. I'll introduce you to some people." Arlan walked downstairs, while Khalon quietly trailed behind him.
When Arlan opened the door, he saw Karl Bryan and the others.
"Good morning, boss!" They bowed their heads as they greeted him respectfully.
"Good morning, everyone. Come inside." When Arlan pushed open the door, they were stunned when they saw a stern-looking man standing behind him.
Arlan snickered in his heart when he saw their terrified expression. Even Karl, the former soldier, was intimidated by Khalon's powerful presence. "Relax, everyone. This is Khalon. He is my bodyguard."
Khalon swept his gaze at everyone. They immediately lowered their heads, afraid to meet his eyes. Only Karl nodded his head to greet him.
Arlan brought his employees to his study. He also discussed about their salaries and benefits. The whole time, Khalon was standing behind him so his employees were nervous throughout the whole conversation. Nevertheless, their discussion ended pleasantly and everyone was satisfied by the terms he provided.
"I will send your contracts soon. In the meantime, you should familiarize yourselves with the villa. Karl and Jonas, you guys stay. The rest can leave now." Arlan wanted to visit his parents, especially after knowing that his father was sick, but he had to deal with his employees first.
Jonas and Karl remained in the room, while the others left.
"Jonas, I want you to write everyone's contract based on what we discussed earlier. Also, please find a reputable seamstress who will make your uniforms. You can also ask for everyone's opinion on this. If you guys have decided on the designs of your uniforms, just show me the designs and we'll see if they're suitable. Lastly, please find some clothes for Khalon." Jonas would be working as his butler and he was the most senior employee in his villa at the moment so he could only give this job to him.
"Yes, boss!" Jonas acknowledged the instructions with a nod of his head.
"Karl, after Khalon's measurements are taken, you will be leaving with us."
"Alright, boss." Karl noticed the sternness in his young boss' eyes so he immediately became serious.
After Jonas took Khalon's measurements, Arlan gave some instructions to Jonas before he left the villa with Karl and Khalon. He headed to the garage to look for his new cars. Leandro's men were already aware that he was driving a Honda Civic Type R so it would be unwise to drive it.
When they arrived in the garage, Arlan saw two new cars beside his Honda Civic Type R. One was a gray SUV, while the other one was a turquoise-colored sports car.
Karl's eyes widened when he saw the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. He had never seen a car like this before.
As for Khalon, his expression remained unchanged. He just walked silently behind Arlan.
"We will be driving the SUV. You drive." Arlan threw the car keys to Karl who caught it with a stunned look. "I'm driving?" He felt stupid when he asked this question.
Arlan chuckled as he said. "Didn't you say that you know how to drive?"
"Of course! Leave it to me, boss!" Karl eagerly opened the car door for him. After Arlan and Khalon took their seats, he quickly sat in the driver's seat.
"Boss, where are we headed to?" Karl asked while looking at Arlan through the mirror.
"To Victoria, Laguna." Arlan answered while leaning on his seat.
