228 The Powerful Giant Worm
"This beast is strong." Codename 11 frowned while looking at the giant worm.
As if enraged by his insolent gaze, the giant worm issued an ear-piercing screech that caused the cave to shake violently.

Everyone felt their eardrums splitting because of the intense noise.
"Don't stay in one place! Move further from each other!" Codename 11 shouted as he jumped into the air.
The soldiers ignored the pain in their ears and quickly moved in different directions upon hearing his words.
Meanwhile, Codename 11 who was high up in the air suddenly slashed down his claymore.

A long gash appeared on the body of the giant worm. Purple blood leaked out from the wound and the giant beast produced a loud pained scream.
While screaming with rage, the worm slapped out its tail, intending to smash the human in front of it into smithereens.
Seeing this, Codename 11 felt a heavy pressure akin to a giant mountain. A stern look appeared on his face.
He twisted his body in midair, barely evading the tail that was whipped out towards him.
BANG!
The cave shook intensely and large debris flew in all directions.
When the dust subsided, everyone saw a giant hole at the spot where the worm's tail had landed.

The worm screeched when it saw that the human who was injured was still alive.
"Oorlewende Unit, attack with me! The rest of you, retreat immediately!" Codename 11 shouted as he readjusted his posture. He noticed that the wound he inflicted on the worm was starting to heal at a rate that was visible to the naked eye.
The elite soldiers were stunned when they heard his command, but they knew that they would only slow them down if they remained.
"Go!" Codename 11 shouted when he saw them hesitating.
"Yes, sir!" The soldiers immediately retreated while feeling furious about their lack of strength.
At this moment, Codename 11 led the members of the Oorlewende Unit to resist the giant worm.
The five of them attacked the worm simultaneously, dealing numerous wounds to the beast's towering figure. They slashed aggressively, leaving behind deep gashes on its body.

The giant worm thrashed around with no care for its surroundings. Its actions caused a cloud of dust to form inside the cave.
Suddenly, it expelled a green viscous liquid from its mouth, spraying it down like a torrent.
Seeing this, Codename 11 felt his skin crawl. "Don't let it touch your skin!" He shouted.
The members of the Oorlewende Unit quickly hid behind the fallen large boulders.

However, they soon found out that the boulders were slowly being corroded by the green liquid!
"Ahhh!!!"
Codename 11 and the others turned their heads. One of them was struck by the corrosive phlegm and his arm was slowly being dissolved.
Gritting his teeth, the man decisively cut off his arm to prevent the corrosive substance from affecting more parts of his body.

The man grimaced as he applied first aid to his own wounds. He swiftly bandaged the amputated part to stop the blood from leaking.
"Are you alright?" Codename 11 inspected the man's injury with a serious face.
"I-I'm fine, but I don't think I can offer any assistance now." The man replied in a weak voice. His dominant arm has been cut off. Although he could still use his other arm, he was no longer as powerful as he was in his peak state.
Codename 11 turned his gaze to another member of the Oorlewende Unit and said. "Take him out of this place."
"Yes, sir!"
After the two of them left, only three members of the Oorlewende Unit remained, including Codename 11.
"Our goal is only to buy time for our soldiers to escape! Don't let yourself get killed!" Codename 11 shouted to the two people behind him.
"Yes, sir!"
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Facing the three of them, the giant worm suddenly opened its huge mouth and spit out another torrent of green liquid.
This time, Codename 11 and the other two were prepared. They avoided the trajectory of the corrosive phlegm while countering with brutal attacks.

"L-Leave me here… G-Go!" The injured man said in a hoarse voice.
Hearing this, the faces of Codename 11 and Codename 19 fell.
"You won't die here, buddy! We'll get you out of here!" Codename 19 said as he carried the man princess style.
The man wanted to say something, but he almost choked in his own blood.
"Don't say anything. Just keep your eyes open!" Codename 19 said.
"Go! I'll slow him down!" Codename 11 shouted at them.
"Take care, sir! I'll be back soon!" Codename 19 said before running away with the injured man in his arms.
Eiiiikkk!!
The worm was enraged when it saw them leaving. It lifted its tail and struck out, but a shadow suddenly appeared in front of it.
Pu-chi!
Codename 11 slashed down his sword while shouting furiously. "Die!"
Pu-chi!
A huge portion of the worm's flesh was cut off, making it thrash around like a fish out of the water.
Rumble! Rumble!
A large piece of debris the size of a car suddenly fell towards Codename 11 which he discovered late.
"Dammit!"
He twisted his body, but his leg was still caught by the falling boulder.
Bang!
A wave of pain traveled from his leg towards his body.
Codename 11 looked down and saw that his left leg was now in a bloody mess. He gritted his teeth as he pulled his body from the boulder, but he found himself unable to stand up.
A large shadow appeared on top of him.
Codename 11 raised his head and saw the worm's giant tail slapping down in slow motion.
