(Note: Please remember that I'm trying to write a story with an mc who is a human. And we humans make mistakes, like forgetting things or making wrong decisions. I want there to be growth in our mc so please don't be put off by his wrong decisions in the first 40 chaps.)
When the police arrived at the scene, they were shocked when they discovered a group of men moaning on the ground in pain. Some of them were even unconscious.
Seeing this, they gazed at Arlan and the others with questioning gazes. "What happened here?" One of the police officers asked.
Sofia glanced at Arlan as she walked briskly toward the officers. "Sir, those guys are criminals! They attacked my brother and mother. They even have weapons! Luckily, I brought my friend here with me. He trained martial arts since he was young so he effortlessly subdued those criminals!" She hurriedly explained. However, her words shocked the officers. One man managed to subdue a group of armed thugs? Is he Super Man in disguise?
Sofia's words were unbelievable, but the moaning thugs on the ground were the hard evidence for this claim and they had no way to refute her.
A middle-aged police officer who seemed to be the captain of the squad looked deeply at Arlan when he heard Sofia's words. He then shouted at his subordinates. "Detain these people! We need to investigate this matter thoroughly!"
The police officers immediately grabbed the moaning thugs and placed them in handcuffs. As for the unconscious ones, they were carried inside the ambulance to receive treatment.
Meanwhile, the middle-aged squad captain walked up to Arlan and muttered. "Young man, you guys have to come with us for some questioning." He sized up the young man in front of him and he suddenly felt a heavy pressure that was so intense that it almost seemed like he was in the presence of someone who had come out on top of a pile of corpses. However, when he blinked his eyes, the intimidating pressure was already gone.
Arlan smiled at the squad captain and nodded his head obediently. "Alright, but I hope that you can bring them as well. I'm afraid that there might still be some members of their organization in this neighborhood." He said while pointing his chin to Sofia's mother and brother.
Hearing this, the squad captain immediately agreed. "You don't have to worry about that. I already plan on bringing all of you with us."
The squad captain turned around and observed the surroundings with a solemn look. There were blunt weapons scattered on the ground. He even saw a loaded gun being confiscated from an unconscious thug. The situation would have been worse if shots were fired. "Team 1 and Team 2, bring those criminals back to the station! Team 3, investigate the scene, and don't let any evidence be destroyed! Team 4, follow me back to the station to escort the victims!" He shouted a series of commands.
"Yes, Sir!"
"Yes, Sir!"
The police officers quickly did as they were told.
Arlan and the others were taken to the police station. When they arrived at the station, they were brought to the squad captain's office and were asked some questions separately. This was to ensure that their words matches the testimony of the others.
After the interview, they were taken to the waiting area where they once again met with the squad captain.
"Thank you for your cooperation. We will notify you guys if there are any results in our investigation. The station will also send a team of officers to your house to ensure your safety. If you're worried, I can send you to a safer place." The squad captain said. When they interrogated the thugs earlier, they found out that they were actually part of a huge organization. He could already imagine the heavy workload that was about to come after more investigations were carried out.
"No problem. You don't have to worry about that. I'll bring them to a place where those thugs couldn't go. I hope that you can send a team to escort us there." Arlan said as he shook hands with the police captain.
"Don't worry. I've already arranged a team to escort you guys, but could you tell me where you are headed to?" The captain couldn't help but ask when he saw how confident Arlan was.
"Royal Territory..." Arlan muttered with a smile. He then waved his hand at the captain and left with Sofia and the others.
The police captain glanced at Arlan's back with a serious look on his face. After getting everyone's testimonies, they found out that Arlan indeed managed to subdue all the thugs by himself. Even someone professionally trained like him wasn't confident that he could subdue a group of armed thugs without being injured. Furthermore, one of those thugs even had a gun! It was unbelievable how Arlan managed to come out unscathed after facing those ferocious criminals.
"Investigate that young man for me." The police captain muttered to the assistant standing behind him.
"Yes, Sir!"

Arlan and the others were escorted to the Royal Territory. The police officers were surprised when they heard where they were headed to. As for Sofia and her family, they had no idea where it was. Although Sofia had some clues about this place, she wasn't sure about it.
Soon, they arrived in front of a gated community. There was a group of intimidating security guards looking at them.
"Stop!" A security guard blocked them from entering. He didn't seem to be afraid of the police officers.
A police officer got out of the car and explained the situation. Arlan also helped him explain things to the security guards.
"Mr. Roa, we need approval for this matter. Please give us a moment to relay this to our superiors."
"No problem. We can wait." Arlan nodded his head. He knew the rules of the territory. Only homeowners and family members are allowed to enter.
Arlan went back to his car and waited patiently.
"Arlan, what kind of place is this?" Sofia asked in a low voice. Her mother and brother were also curious about this place. They glanced expectantly at Arlan, waiting for him to speak.
Arlan's lips curved upwards when he saw their expressions. "You'll know soon." He muttered.
