Chapter 169 Ken’s First Mission
Arlan's organization managed to capture the president right under everyone's noses. He had capable people around him and they wanted to become a part of his faction. Who doesn't want to have the opportunity to work with the best people in their respective fields?
"What do you want us to do, sir?" Ken asked with a serious look.
Arlan smiled and gave a signal to a soldier near him. The soldier saw this and handed him a folder.
"I want you to deal with the Maracas Family and their allies." Arlan stood up and handed the folder to Ken. "Inside that folder is a document containing a list of your targets. Not at all of them are heinous criminals so you should approach them differently. Everything you need to know is written in the document. What do you think? Are you up to the task?"
Ken and his subordinates frowned upon hearing his words. The Maracas Family was too strong and they even had a private army. Bodyguards like them are powerless against a behemoth like the Maracas Family.
"Sir, there are only twenty-two of us. We can't face them by ourselves." Ken thought that it was impossible. Although he wanted to work for Arlan, he didn't want to put his subordinates' lives at risk.
Arlan smiled at his words. "You know about the destruction of the NPA, right?"
Ken and the others nodded their heads. The news about the NPA's destruction was all over the internet so they were aware of it.
"I only sent twenty people to attack their base. Do you know what happened? Those twenty people killed more than half of the 800 soldiers stationed in NPA's main base and they even captured their three leaders." Arlan's words stunned them.
"You mean you were responsible for the destruction of the NPA?!" Ken stared at him in disbelief.
"Your mission is way easier compared to that, but I know that you guys aren't trained for this kind of mission so I will only send you as a support force. Your task is written in the document inside that folder. In a moment, a subordinate of mine will come here to brief you on your task. Do well and you will be rewarded handsomely." Arlan said as he scanned the people in front of him. The mission he gave them wasn't that difficult and he believed that they would be able to accomplish it. In a sense, this mission was merely a formality before they became a part of his faction.
"Thank you so much for giving us the chance to prove ourselves, sir! We won't disappoint you!" Ken bowed his head gratefully.
Arlan chuckled and said. "I will wait for your good news." He then left the building after saying those words.

Ken stared at the folder in his hand and opened it.
"Sir, I heard that Mr. Roa's soldiers earn six-digit figures (in pesos). I hope we can complete his mission. I want to be like them!" One of his subordinates said.
"Yeah! We also noticed that their equipment is even more advanced than what the military has. They must have gotten that equipment overseas."
"This is an opportunity for us! We must not make any mistakes!" Ken said before he looked at the document. Their task wasn't that complicated. They were only responsible for kidnapping manager-level personnel in the Maracas Family's faction. Their most difficult task was to eliminate a founding member of the faction who was a current Senator of Maharlika.
Ken's eyes turned serious when he read that part of the document.
Suddenly, some people entered the room. Leading them was a tall man with dark skin. He had some facial scars that made him look incredibly intimidating. The people following him didn't look weak either.
Ken and his subordinates felt nervous when they saw these people. They were vastly different compared to Conrad and his men. 'Who are these guys!?'
"I am Khalon, the boss's right-hand man." Khalon introduced himself briefly in a stern voice. "I will brief you guys about your mission. You will be responsible for..."
Khalon informed them about the details of their mission. He also gave them some useful tips and suggestions.
After telling them about their mission, Khalon gave them their equipment and weapons. "You will need them for the mission and you are free to use them as you see fit. However, if I hear that you are using those items for your personal agenda, I will personally punish you! Do you understand?!"
"Yes, sir!" Ken and the others answered solemnly.
"To ensure the success of your mission, this man will follow you." Khalon said while pointing at a dark-skinned man. He was a Ken and the others stared at the man he was referring to. He was 6'3 feet tall and was quite well-built. Just based on his appearance member of the Oorlewende Unit, Codename 07.

"You have three days to complete your mission. Go!" Khalon shouted sternly.

"Hello, sir! My name is Ken. It's a pleasure to meet you." Ken greeted Codename 07 politely. He also extended his hand towards the latter.
Codename 07 expressionlessly stared at him. He acted as if he didn't notice Ken's outstretched hand which made Ken's subordinates frown in disassociation. "I don't have a name so you guys can just call me Codename 07 or Seven will do." He spoke in perfect English.
Ken wasn't displeased by Codename 07. He just smiled at him and said. "We will be in your care, Sir Seven."
Codename 07 nodded his head calmly. "Let's get going. We only have three days to complete the mission." He said as he got inside the vehicle in front of them.
There were five vehicles prepared for them, three sedans and two SUVs.
"Our first target is Alexander Maracas. I believe you guys are familiar with him." Codename 07 said as he handed a picture of Alexander to Ken.
