"Mr. Roa, why are you doing this to me?" Ben Hidalgo muttered through gritted teeth.
Arlan sighed when he saw the anger on Ben's face. "I also don't want to do this, Mr. Hidalgo, but circumstances forced me to make this choice. You won't lose out if you join me. I can guarantee that. In fact, I'll give you numerous benefits. I also won't intervene in your business. You can do whatever you please. You just have to do some tasks for me."
Ben's expression softened upon hearing this. He then sighed and shook his head. "Since it has come to this, what choice do I have left?" He muttered bitterly. "I hope so, Mr. Roa." Ben forced out a smile as he shook Arlan's hand.
With that, Ben Hidalgo became a member of his faction.
"Now that you are one of our own, can you tell us who your supplier is?" Arlan asked while looking at him.
Ben leaned on his chair and replied in a solemn voice. "The De Luca Family of the La Cosa Nostra..."
Arlan scrunched his eyebrows upon hearing La Cosa Nostra's name coming from his mouth. "You actually involved yourself with such a large syndicate!" Arlan wryly smiled.
Ben scratched the back of his head with an embarrassed look. "I only accidentally got acquainted with them when I last visited Italy. I somehow became friends with the heir of the De Luca Family. Through him, I bought modern firearms and smuggled them to our country."
"You are one brave guy..." According to Winter, La Cosa Nostra was the largest criminal organization in the world. Arlan never thought that Ben's firearms supplier was actually the heir of the De Luca Family.
"Anyway, can you schedule a meeting for us? I'd like to speak with him about the purchase of these weapons." Arlan said while pointing at the document that contained all the weapons and equipment the country's army needed.
"I can't guarantee it, but I'll deliver your words to him." Ben nodded his head.
"Great! In that case, I'll wait for your good news. Someone will look for you to give you the benefits I mentioned." Arlan stood up from his seat and patted Ben's shoulder. "See you again soon, Mr. Hidalgo." He said before leaving the coffee shop with Karl and Krizia.
After they left, Ben smiled bitterly. "Now I'm stuck in the middle of two colossi..."

"Boss, that guy is one shrewd individual. You shouldn't give your trust to him that easily." Karl muttered.
Arlan nodded his head. "I know, but there is no need to be worried about him. I'm more worried about the people from the De Luca Family. You know that Leandro Manzano is now a part of the Cassano Family. That makes them a part of the same organization... It looks like we have to investigate La Cosa Nostra more deeply. I hope that we can find some valuable information about them."
Krizia already knew that her boss and Leandro Manzano were enemies. She became curious after hearing more information from them. She felt like she had become involved in a fight between two large mafia gangs. 'Scary, but exciting!' She thought to herself.
"Karl, send someone to deliver Ben's remuneration." Arlan muttered as he entered their vehicle.
"Yes, boss!" Karl nodded his head.

This was already the third Body Enhancing Serum that Arlan claimed since his meeting with Ben Hidalgo more than a week ago. He gave the first serum to Krizia. She was his assistant and she would soon encounter many dangerous situations so it was necessary to give her something that could increase her survivability. He gave the other one to Conrad, his strongest fighter excluding Winter, Khalon, and Karl. That guy was a former officer of the army and his physique was even better compared to the Elliot siblings who were part of the US air force. After he used the serum, his physical abilities drastically improved. Although Conrad was still weaker than Karl, the difference was no longer that great.
Arlan decided to keep the Body Enhancing Serum he just claimed. He could give it to his soldiers, but he still had to test their loyalty. Arlan immediately called Ben to confirm this message.
"Good morning, Mr. Roa!"
"Good morning, Mr. Hidalgo."
They exchanged pleasantries for a while before Arlan stated his objective. "Let's meet in Starbucks Waltermart to discuss this matter. I'll see you at 9:30 a.m." Arlan muttered while looking at the time on his watch.
"Alright, Mr. Roa. I won't be late this time." Ben muttered in a joking tone.
Arlan disconnected the call and went to prepare.
The army's goods were scheduled to be delivered in less than two months. Arlan wanted to quickly handle this matter to avoid the suspicions of the commanding general. He might even gain the latter's favor if he delivered the goods ahead of schedule.
