The upper management of Bakal Brothers Co. stared nervously at Arlan who was seated in the most prominent seat of the meeting room. Even Eugene Tan who was in control of a large conglomerate like the Rising Dragon Group felt a bit anxious about what was going to happen. He was afraid that Arlan would use his authority to reshuffle the company's management. If that happens, he might be implicated as well.
"Thank you for coming to this meeting, everyone. Most of you might be unaware of my identity, so please allow me to make a short introduction about myself. I am Arlan Dominic Roa, the new boss of Rising Dragon Group, which makes me your direct superior as well." Arlan introduced himself while looking at the middle-aged man with a balding head. This was the CEO of Bakal Brothers Co., Richard Batumbakal.
When Richard heard this name, his eyes flashed with shock. 'Arlan Dominic Roa... It's him! I'm dead!'
"Is there anything wrong, Mr. Batumbakal? Why do you look scared?" Arlan asked with a smile.
Richard wiped the sweat on his forehead as he chuckled awkwardly. "N-Nothing! I just feel a bit tired this morning..." When Arlan addressed him, he knew that this guy was the same person in his memories. However, how did that poor construction worker suddenly become the big boss of Rising Dragon Group?
Arlan stared meaningfully at him before he retracted his gaze. He then turned his head at the side and said to Khalon who was standing by the door. "Give me the hard drive."
Khalon opened the briefcase he was holding and took the hard drive inside of it. He then passed it to Arlan.
Everyone curiously stared at the hard drive, wondering what this new boss was planning to show them. Was it a new project for the company? Everyone speculated in their minds.
"I've checked the company's recent activities and I noticed that there is a big problem with the company's funds. Do you guys know what's going on?" Arlan eyed everyone with a sharp gaze.
The people inside the meeting room unconsciously lowered their heads when they saw the look on his face. Some people showed fearful expressions after hearing the words he said.
Arlan pointed at one of these people. "You. Tell me what you know." He muttered in a cold voice.
It was a fat middle-aged man. He almost jumped out in shock after seeing Arlan pointing at him. "I-I don't know anything!" He hurriedly shook his head. He had embezzled the company funds a long time ago, but he already erased his tracks. As long as there was no evidence, he didn't have to worry about getting arrested.
Arlan tapped his fingers on the table after hearing his words. He then called out a few more people. These guys were the ones who embezzled the company's funds, but all of them didn't give him an answer or an explanation. "It seems like I have to use force to make you guys spit it out." He chuckled lightly. He then connected the hard drive to a laptop and displayed the screen on a projector.
Everyone turned their gazes at the projection. They realized that their new boss was planning to remove the corrupt members of the upper management!
A series of documents and photographs were displayed and the people he called out earlier broke out in cold sweat. They anxiously stared at the evidence of their crimes.
One of them stood up and fearfully said. "Mr. Roa, I'm innocent! I was just following Mr. Batumbakal's orders! It was him who planned everything!"
"Shut up!" Richard pointed angrily at the man.
"Mr. Roa, this person orchestrated everything! We are only following his instructions! Please give us a chance!"
"Mr. Roa..."
The people involved in the embezzlement anxiously pleaded. They were aware that they would be imprisoned since Arlan had enough evidence to prove their crime. They could only beg for his mercy at this point.
Arlan laughed coldly. "I gave you the chance to talk earlier, but none of you took the opportunity to speak. It's too late to beg for mercy." He then turned his head towards Eugene and said. "Mr. Tan, please call the security and tell them to detain these people while waiting for the police to arrive."
Eugene Tan nodded his head. "Yes, Mr. Roa!" He was fearful of their now boss' means. He could actually dig up the dark secrets of anyone! He was afraid that Arlan would also secretly investigate him. Although he didn't embezzle the company funds, he had some secrets that no one knew.
Soon, the security personnel entered the meeting room and took the people involved to a separate room. Not long later, the police arrived at the scene and Arlan handed the evidence to them. The most interesting thing was that the police team who arrived was led by Zenny.
She was surprised to see Arlan. "Mr. Roa, what are you doing here?"
"Cleaning up the company?" Arlan answered while shrugging his shoulders.
Zenny was a bit irritated by the way he responded, but she was also shocked. After interrogating the employees of the company, she found out that Arlan was actually the new owner of Rising Dragon Group. 'This guy's hands can be found everywhere...' She muttered in her mind.
Arlan ignored Zenny and walked towards Eugene. "Mr. Tan, I still have some matters to deal with so I'll leave the rest to you."
"Just leave it to me, Mr. Roa. I'll take care of everything." Eugene didn't hesitate. Bakal Brothers Co. was one of their subsidiary companies so he had to make sure that this matter was taken care of. He didn't want their enemies to make use of this opportunity to attack them.
"Goodbye, Miss Zenny." Arlan waved his hand as he walked out of the company building with Khalon and the other bodyguards. Eugene also sent him off at the entrance.
Looking at his departing figure, Zenny could only helplessly shake her head. That guy could do whatever he wants and she couldn't even do anything to stop him. 'I just hope that you won't become a criminal like Leandro...'
