Chapter 44: What a Drama Queen

Chapter 44: What a Drama Queen

Time passed in a flash. In a blink of an eye, it was already Friday.

With Rong Rong playing matchmaker these past five days, Chu Tian and Bai Xiaochun grew much more familiar with one another. The three of them even made a chat group for themselves. When they’re bored, they gossip with each other in that group.

That said, Chu Tian has yet to be alone with Bai Xiaochun.

Apart from the matter with Bai Xiaochun, the club, with Li Sisi being in charge of everything, was making rapid progress, too. Since they did not have to worry about causing disturbances to residents, they could conduct renovation work 24 hours a day.

According to Li Sisi, if they continue at this pace, the club could open for business in a week.

As for the Hacker’s Forum, Chu Tian had not logged into it for five days straight.

The only thing remaining would be his unclear special ability. He did not know if his special ability had disappeared as he did not receive any new abilities or transformations all five days.

9:30 PM!

Chu Tian returned to his rental apartment. He took out his phone and looked at it.

Seeing that there was a new notification in the group chat with Rong Rong and Bai Xiaochun, Chu Tian pressed on the chat and opened it.

Messages sent from Rong Rong, and Bai Xiaochun appeared.

Rong Rong: “Deskmate, your Lil Bai wants to go to the zoo tomorrow. Are you coming?”

Bai Xiaochun: “Damn Rongrong! Are you itching for a beating again?”

Rong Rong: “Heh. Come, beat me up then, I’m in the toilet.”

Bai Xiaochun: “I’ll take care of you once you return.”

The zoo?

Seeing the chat record between the two girls, Chu Tian smiled. He sent a reply to the group: “Now, now, let’s stop messing around. I’ve actually never been to a zoo before. We can have some fun at the zoo tomorrow.”

Once he sent that message, Rong Rong’s reply arrived right away.

Rong Rong: “Sigh. Sure enough, it had to be your Lil Bai. I’ve mentioned going to the zoo multiple times. But it’s nowhere near enough to match Lil Bai’s single mention. Deskmate, you’ve changed. You’re no longer the deskmate that loved me and cared for me. There’s only your Lil Bai in your eyes now.”

The fuck?

This woman, she’s a total drama queen!

Reading the message Rong Rong sent to the group, Chu Tian was left smiling speechlessly.

She had never once mentioned the zoo before!

After reading Rong Rong’s message, Chu Tian sent over an emoji showing contempt.

Bai Xiaochun: “Damn Rongrong! Try sleeping in the toilet tonight or you’ll be getting it once you return!”

Rong Rong: “Deskmate, look at this! Can you please put a leash on your Lil Bai? She’s planning to beat me up again!”

Chu Tian: “As your deskmate, I’ll dial 120(emergency number to dial for an ambulance in China) for you.”

Bai Xiaochun: “You see that? Damn Rongrong, you’re dead tonight.”

Rong Rong: “Hahaha… You continue waiting for my return then. I’m not coming back tonight.”

Chu Tian: “Tell me when you girls are going to the zoo tomorrow. I’ll take a shower now.”

Bai Xiaochun: “Got it. Go do your thing. Sleep early.”

Chu Tian: “You two rest up too.”

After sending over those messages, Chu Tian entered his bedroom and turned on his computer.

He had not logged onto the Hacker’s Forum for an entire week. He was wondering what was going on with Wang Xiaofeng.

Dang!

This many private messages!

After logging into the Hacker’s Forum, Chu Tian discovered that Wang Xiaofeng had sent him a pile of private messages.

Of course, while those messages were all sent through Wang Xiaofeng’s account, they were not necessarily from Wang Xiaofeng himself.

Wang Xiaofeng: “Shadow bro, why are you going to the hospital so late at night? You okay?”

Wang Xiaofeng: “Damn, bro! It’s been two days. Are you alright? Stop messing with me if you’re fine.”

Wang Xiaofeng: “Shadow bro, send me a reply if you see this. What’s going on your side?”

……

Wang Xiaofeng: “Damn, Shadow bro, you couldn’t possibly be not using this account anymore, right?”

After reading through the messages sent from ‘Wang Xiaofeng,’ Chu Tian smiled and composed a message to send back.

“Hahaha. It’s been a hectic week. My daughter-in-law gave birth to a chubby little boy. Bro, I’m a grandfather now.”

Meanwhile…

Yunnan. Inside the same villa. Wang Xiaofeng was typing away on his computer when he saw the message sent over by Chu Tian. He was shocked to see that private message. But he immediately got up from his seat and walked out of his computer room.

Soon, in only two minutes, Wang Xiaofeng returned. The three agents from the Ministry of State Security also returned with him.

“Officers, I just received this message. Please have a look.”

Wang Xiaofeng showed his computer monitor.

The spectacled, middle-aged man immediately sat on the computer chair. After reading the message, he nodded his head, “And here I was wondering why he would suddenly disappear for so many days. So it’s because of the birth of his grandson.”

The female agent said, “Does this affect the plan we had in mind?”

“It does,” The middle-aged man nodded his head, “Furthermore, the effect is enormous. With his grandson being born, his mood must be extremely good. The birth of his grandson is an extremely happy occasion. Right now, his focus and desires must all be aligned with his grandson. Thus, for the time being, we cannot lure him out regardless of what sort of method we might employ.”

Hearing those words from the middle-aged man, the woman frowned. “Then, this means that the four plans we made are all useless now?”
