Chapter 329: Her Concerns

Ever since Egostic took the Fallen Angel, Korea has been in more turmoil than anyone could have imagined.

If this isn’t a show, then Egostic has gone from being a villain to being chosen by the gods, which means he’s connected to them.

Even if this was a show, the fact that it had the ability to tear open the sky and make the viewers feel this much awe and holiness was something to behold.

And then there are the testimonies of experts who say it doesn’t look like a hoax. The time and space distortions that they’ve found in the moment of the angel’s descent, that they’ve been able to investigate…

It was a situation where there really was a God, and he sent an angel down to the world, and Korea, where the angel descended, was the chosen land of salvation, and Egostic was the messiah, and it was spreading like wildfire.

Of course, none of that mattered to Stardus.

“Ha…”

~The offices of the Heroes Association~

The villains didn’t think they’d get much attention if they carried out a terrorist attack while the whole country was buzzing with Egostic.

In the unexpected peace that came with the lack of terrorism, Stardus was dumbfounded.

Well, she heard that Egostic got an angel…

To Shin Haru, the story didn’t surprise her. It wasn’t like it was the first time he’d gotten an angel in the first place, and with all the things he’d done, it wasn’t that unusual for him to get one….

‘…..’

She already knew, sort of, that there was a god who gave her powers so Shin Haru’s problem wasn’t anything else, it was that Egostic…ignored her today, just like last time.

And that, unbeknownst to her, it loomed large.

‘…Egostic, why?’

Stardus had reason to think so, actually.

Looking at his behavior so far: calling her after every attack, coming to her defense whenever she was in danger, even risking his own life for her

Especially in prison…He’s been the first to touch her hand. He’s even slept in the same bed with her. Honestly…Hmm?

How could he just change his mind like that overnight?

‘Changing his attitude…’

All sorts of thoughts were running through Stardus’ head.

Did he get tired of me? Did I do something wrong? Did I get too close to him in prison?

The hero whining about the villain disrespecting her is something you don’t see everywhere… but it was a serious issue for both parties.

Stardus herself was having a hard time keeping her mind off of it, and she was reminded of how much she valued the Egostic.

“…What do you think?”

The next day Stardus confided in her friend, a light-blue-haired girl named Lee Seola.

“….”

Lee Seola listened to Stardus with her mouth agape.

There was only one reason why her face was so stiff.

‘…Haru, it’s not the time for you to be grumbling to yourself.’

That’s right.

She’d heard that Egostic was retiring soon.

‘You’re retiring?’

‘Uh, I’m just about done with this, and I’ve got to get my villain business in order.’

‘No… Um…Yeah. I see.’

You might say that there’s nothing wrong with a villain retiring, but for Stardus, there’s a big problem with losing contact with him.

There’s no way she could have told Haru that Egostic was retiring. If she did, Haru would naturally ask how she knew, and then she would have to explain her secret relationship with him. And what would happen then?

…Lee Seola didn’t want to get into a messy drama with her best friend over a man, so there’s only one thing she can do.

Haru doesn’t have much time, so…

‘She should just go for it.’

Lee Seola thought with a straight face.

To be honest, she was one hundred percent sure that Da-in had noticed that she liked him. Only an idiot would not know that.

But he, strangely enough, had never imagined that Stardus liked him. As if being involved with Stardus would make him a fool.

‘So, I guess I’ll just have to tell him, and he’ll understand.’

With that thought, she sighed and turned to Stardus, who was drinking tea, and asked her directly.

“Tell me the truth, Haru, you like Egostic.”

“Uh, huh? What? Oh… No…?”

When she asked that, Shin Haru reacted dramatically.

As Haru looks up at her with a flushed face, coughing, and watery eyes that shake, she has mixed feelings. No… Haru, this is not the time. It’s time to be proactive.

With that thought in mind, Lee Seola gave her some serious advice.

“Haru, next time you see him, tell him how you feel, even if it’s indirectly.”

“What did you say…? It’s not like that.”

She tried to say that it wasn’t, but it didn’t sound very convincing with her already flushed face and lost eyes.

“Since you don’t talk to each other, maybe it’s just a misunderstanding that’s built up, huh? Haru, you don’t really think of Egostic as more special than everyone else anyway, do you?”

“…Yeah.”

“Then at least be honest about it. It’s because you don’t know what the other person thinks. If you say something like that, don’t you think he’ll react?”

“…”

Stardus was silently listening to Lee Seola’s advice, but it seemed that she had her own ears perked up.

Anyway, that’s how the hole was dug.

After parting ways with Stardus, Seola sighed and thought to herself,

‘…Still, after all this time, they must have gotten the memo.’

She sincerely hoped that the frustrating couple would get together soon.

Then maybe she’d get her chance.

“…I like you.”

Stardus muttered the words quietly as she lay on the bed, her blonde locks hanging down.

“…”

Not necessarily, like.

I’ll tell him what I think about him.

…But doesn’t that mean I like him, even if it’s not necessarily in a sexual sense?

Stardus’ hand rose and fell across her chest, pondering the question.

‘Yeah…’

Next time we meet, I’ll confess my feelings.

…I’m worried.

***

[“Jesus, why don’t you start the meeting?”]

(picture of Jesus, Buddha, and other gods on clouds, looking ahead, talking)

“Egostic hasn’t come yet.”

If this drip seems real, then it’s okay haha.

First of all, me lol.

=[Comment]=

[Egostic Is he God? Egostic Is he God? Egostic Is he God? Egostic Is he God? Egostic Is he God? Egostic Is he God? Egoistic Is he God?]

[It’s just that God-Stick’s performance begins now haha]

[Korea’s largest output. If you think it’s mango sticks, then it’s okay haha. First of all, me first haha]

[My heart aches every time I watch the video of the angel’s descent, as if there is some kind of hypnosis in it.]

[Republic of Korea

[Oh my god, where is the villain that the angel calls master? Hahaha. This is just a hero.]

ㄴ[Rather, it’s the ultimate villain… Even the angel may have become NTR]

ㄴ[Gasp]

ㄴ[The world’s number one villain from now on is Mango Stick…]

[Mango Star is completely destroyed hahaha Angel Stick is a piece of cake haha]

[Really, how did the community come to talk about this haha]

ㄴ[You should watch that video. I have no choice but to believe in God]

ㄴ[I can feel something just by looking at it]

“Da-in. Look at this.”

“Okay, Seo-eun…”

Two days after that incident Seo-eun was having fun watching me being the talk of the whole country.

“Don’t call me master, just call me Mr. Da-in.”

“How can I call you differently?”

“No…”

This angel, by the way, was embarrassing me in real time.

I must have gotten the spell wrong, because she’s not listening to me.

Meanwhile, Seo Ja-young, who saw me training the angel like that, was lying there with a dazed face and muttering to herself.

“I want to dress her in a maid’s outfit, since she’s always around her master. A maid angel… I’m about to be arrested for blasphemy. Hmph…”

…Judging by the strange glint in her eye, we’ll have to wait.

Anyway, we’ve been spending the last few days getting to know this new member, Angel.

She’s basically the tallest of the group (minus me), with long blonde hair, golden eyes unlike Stardus’, and a pair of large white wings on her back.

Her defining characteristic was her almost unconditional obedience to my commands.

Ownership of this angel had been seamlessly transferred to me, which was a good thing, because I didn’t have to worry about her rebelling.

Perhaps Celeste will follow my lead when she comes along.

I was relieved to have another trusted ally.

By the way, I gave her a name because I couldn’t keep calling her Angel.

“She’s an angel, but there’s no Halo, so how about Halo?”

“…Sounds good.”

Anyway, the most characteristic thing about this angel is.

“Halo.”

“Yes, master.”

Whenever I call her, she teleports to wherever I am.

It was a very useful feature. Especially since I now have someone to rescue me if I’m kidnapped anywhere.

In a way, it felt like an upscale version of our Death Knight companion.

[Hmmm… you’re not thinking something weird, are you?]

“Ugh. Get away from me, unholy one. You’re bringing a curse on my master.”

[No, what is this lady doing to me?!]

For the record, our angel didn’t seem to like Mr. Desik very much…

Anyway, I was having such a peaceful and unconventional day.

“Da-in, I have a letter for you.”

Until an invitation letter came from Cathedral.

Hmm. It’s been two days since I took the Sun God’s servant.

It’s been a long time since the last time the Cathedral was held, so even if it’s time for a gathering… It’s quite a coincidence.

As expected.

‘By now, Celeste should be…’

I’m sure she’s in the shit.

She’ll be furious and angry that I’ve stolen the Sun God’s creation that she worships more than her own life. It’s even more amazing that she didn’t break into my house.

Well, if I don’t go to Cathedral, she will attack me.

“Seo-eun, I’ll be right back. And…”

I looked at the angel, who was looking at me with innocent golden eyes, and chuckled.

“You too, get ready to go, Halo.”

“Okay.”

Go give Celeste a taste of your angelic power.

Toughness is a villain’s virtue, isn’t it?
