Chapter 363 Nether Soul Refining Art

The Nine Divine Heavens only had nine Tenth-stage Heavenly Immortals, the immortal emperors, to rule each heaven.

However, Albion hadn't been in this new region of the Netherworld Realm for long, but he had already learned the existence of a Tenth-stage Heavenly Soul Immortal.

Although a Tenth-stage Heavenly Immortal and a Tenth-stage Heavenly Soul Immortal differed in their focus, their strengths were roughly the same.

Nevertheless, The Dark Fae Clan's Tenth-stage Heavenly Soul Immortal was only the ruler of a single realm within the Ancient Darkheaven Sector.

If Albion understood things correctly, he should expect a Tenth-stage Heavenly Soul Immortal to rule each Realm.

Considering the infinitely vast Sectors and the countless Realms within them, the sheer number of Tenth-stage Heavenly Soul Immortals would be staggering.

However, Tenth-stage Heavenly Soul Immortal isn't just a realm anyone could reach.

Thus, the Netherworld Realm must have existed for a far, far greater time than the Nine Divine Heavens and the material universe itself.

'The Netherworld Realm most likely have existences that even more ancient and powerful than Tenth-stage Heavenly Soul Immortal,' Albion mused, his eyes flickered thoughtfully.

If there were realms beyond Tenth-stage Heavenly Immortal, it would be the fabled Godhood.

Despite how powerful Tenth-stage Heavenly Immortals are, their powers didn't exceed the boundaries of what the world had to offer.

They could not create new worlds or introduce new laws.

Nevertheless, even if Albion suspected beings beyond Tenth-stage Heavenly Soul Immortals existed in the Netherworld Realm, it didn't matter to Albion.

After all, Albion was only an Early-stage True Immortal, still far from the peak of the Heavenly Immortal Realm. As such, he can only put aside the thought.

Albion shook his head before glancing at the dark fae maids with interest.

"Since you have a clan leader at the Tenth-stage Heavenly Soul Immortal Realm, there's no way any of you would willingly serve other races as your masters," Albion commented.

"That's not true, Master," a dark fae maid said.

"While our clan leader is indeed an amazing Tenth-stage Heavenly Soul Immortal, she isn't someone we had actually seen with our eyes. Our clan leader rules over an entire regional realm with the main clan, while we only hail from a small branch clan."

"And our branch clan leader is only at the Early-stage Spirit Soul Manifestation Realm. Thus, people like the Lord of Netherglow City is already impressive to us," another dark fae maid added.

"Feeling impressed is one thing, but being willing to serve with devotion is another thing," Albion stated coolly.

"It doesn't change the fact that you have a clan leader at the Tenth-stage Heavenly Soul Immortal. Would you be willing to serve me, a dark elf, wholeheartedly? I doubt it," Albion added.

However, the five dark fae maids glanced at each other with confusion.

Shortly after, the leader of the dark faes replied, "What are you talking about, Master? The Dark Elf Clan in Grand Netherheaven Sector also has a Tenth-stage Heavenly Soul Immortal as their clan leader."

"Didn't you know that, Master?" the dark fae maid stared at Albion with doubt before asking carefully, "Are you perhaps a 'Stray,' Master?"

By Stray, the dark fae maid implied that Albion was a dark elf born outside of the Dark Elf Clan without parents to tell him about his place of origin.

Albion furrowed his eyebrows when the dark fae maids looked at him with pity. For some reason, he had become the pitiful one in their eyes.

"Ah, but you don't have to worry, Master. If it's you, I believe we will be willing to serve you wholeheartedly as long as you continue as you are and never mistreat us," a dark fae maid reassured.

Their previous masters only viewed them as trophies to possess. But, on the other hand, their current master actually treats them normally.

Just that fact alone was more than enough for Albion to earn their respect.

"Alright, alright, stop looking at me like that. I don't need such pitying eyes," Albion waved his hand at them with a frown and said, "Just go and cultivate or something. You're all dismissed."

"You don't want us to clean the mansion or something instead, Master?" the dark fae maids with short undercut hair asked with surprise.

"Clean the mansion?" Albion glanced around at the spotless room. Then, he quickly rolled his eyes and said, "What cleaning is there to do? The place is already spotless."

Just go and cultivate," Albion waved at the dark faes again and said, "Since you all my servants, it also means you represent me outside. However, you're all too weak. If you get bullied by others, wouldn't that make me look bad?"

Although Albion said that, he didn't care at all. He just wanted to try using those cliché lines he read in cultivation novels at least once while getting rid of the dark faes in the process.

Nevertheless, Albion suddenly paused. Shortly after, he asked, "How do you usually cultivate?"

"Slaves aren't usually permitted to cultivate, Master. However, back in our branch clan, we use the nether energy in the low-grade nether coins we earn from completing missions to cultivate, Master. It's much faster than absorbing nether energy from the atmosphere," a dark fae maid answered.

Nevertheless, slaves don't get the chance to earn nether coins. They had to rely on the generosity of their Masters, which also doesn't happen…!

"Low-grade nether coins, huh? Got it; just use this to cultivate," Albion nonchalantly tossed a lump of netherite to each dark fae maid, stunning them.

Each lump of netherite could be processed into roughly 100,000 low-grade nether coins.

The dark fae maids began to look at Albion with sparkling eyes of respect and adoration. However, Albion didn't care simply kicked them all out of the room so they could cultivate elsewhere.

Silence finally returned to the living.

'I guess it's time to try the Nether Soul Refining Art I created,' Albion mused. It was the other purpose of his trip to the Netherworld Realm.

During the two years he spent inside the ancient sea serpent's belly, he wasn't completely idle with all his time. The Nether Soul Refining Art was something he devised to fix the incompatibility between his soul and the Dark Emperor's body.

Alas, there was no valuable energy to cultivate in the ancient sea serpent's belly. Thus, Albion never had the chance to put the Nether Soul Refining Art into practice.
