Chapter?360 Barbeque Event

"…"

"Have a nice day."

The female bank teller stared at Albion absentmindedly, unamused by his joke before he shrugged it off and expressed his intention to leave.

"W-wait, Lord Sum Ting Wong! Aren't you planning to register with our bank?"

"No, and I don't plan to. I came, I saw, and now I leave; simple as that," Albion nonchalantly replied before turning to leave.

The female bank teller was dumbfounded.

She turned her head mechanically to the side and saw Lord Donatello's dissatisfied look before she quickly called out to Albion.

"W-wait one moment, Lord Sum Ting Wong! May I ask why you don't want to register an account with our bank?" the female bank teller asked with a desperate look.

She was baffled why Lord Sum Ting Wong wasn't interested when the bank offered great benefits to nobles.

"Let's just say that I like to keep all my wealth close and leave it at that, okay?" Albion left those words before exiting the bank.

The turtle manager gave the bank teller a hard look before quickly catching up with Albion.

"You're a hard person to read, Lord Sum Ting Wong," Donatello spoke.

"Are you disappointed that you wasted a trip to the bank for nothing?" Without glancing at the turtle manager, Albion replied with a casual question.

"Well, it would be a lie if I said I wasn't disappointed, but—"

"Good."

"E-excuse me?" Donatello asked with surprise, thinking he may have heard wrong.

However, Albion had no intention of repeating himself; he simply waved it off with a nonchalant expression.

"Don't worry about it."

"Alright…"

Donatello's lips twitched with a bit of reluctance, thinking it was difficult to interact with Lord Sum Ting Wong.

Nevertheless, he had to find some way to earn nether coins back from the person.

"Lord Sum Ting Wong, since you have just received your official resident permit, you don't have any permanent resident yet, right? I have a few spare residents that I can—"

"Gift me, right?" Albion interrupted before clapping his hand together with surprise.

"How generous of you. It will be impolite if I don't accept your offer, so I'll gladly take them all. You're actually a nice guy, huh?"

"T-that wasn't what I said…" Donatello uttered with a trembling voice.

The sheer thought of that happening shook his heart.

"Hm?" Albion narrowed his eyes before asking with scrutiny, "Are you saying you don't want to gift me your spare residents and go back on your words?"

"Those were your words! Not mine—!" Donatello raised his voice at Albion before noticing his amused and unfazed look. "You… you're messing with me, aren't you?"

"So what if I am? You messed with me but can't accept the other way around?" Albion replied coolly.

"Am I not trying to make up for my mistake by helping you settle down in Netherglow City right now, Lord Sum Ting Wong?" Donatello said wryly.

"I still don't get it," he scratched his head with frustration shortly after and said, "If you were so powerful, why do you need to hide your cultivation? Isn't that purposely looking for trouble?"

"Don't you know the higher your cultivation, the nobler your status is, Lord Sum Ting Wong?"

"Well, in my experience, trouble finds you," Albion calmly replied.

The Dark Emperor committed far too many sins in his life.

Even though the person was dead, all his soul fragments remained behind in Albion's sea of consciousness.

Thus, he didn't just inherit the person's body and knowledge, but also the person's bad karma.

"Nevertheless, you weren't wrong about one thing; I do need a permanent residence," Albion admitted before saying, "But we'll have to see whether your spare residences are worth buying or not."

"Then shall I guide you over to take a look at them, Lord Sum Ting Wong?" Donatello offered.

"Sure," Albion nodded.

However, as they headed toward the turtle manager's first residence, a food event on the street caught his eyes and attracted him over.

"Lord Sum Ting Wong?" Donatello noticed his attraction before following him over.

It was a barbeque party that anyone could join, and the host was seemingly trying to promote a new product by offering free food.

Nether spirits came and left the barbeque event just as quickly, creating a steady flow of traffic without overcrowding the area.

Nevertheless, the barbeque party closely resembled one of the western-style barbeques on Earth, which was why it attracted Albion.

"Snags on the barbie, huh? Haven't had one of these in a while…" Albion uttered.

"Hello, Sirs. Would you also like to try our new product, Sagesaus Hotdog?" inquired the handsome male goblin standing behind the barbeque grill.

'Sagesaus? Sage sauce? What? Oh, sausage… I don't know who named it as such, but that person sure butchered it.'

Albion was perplexed for a moment before feeling amused after the realization.

"Sure," Albion affirmed.

"I would like one too," Donatello added with an interesting look before asking, "How much is it for two?"

"It's on the house, Sir," the handsome male goblin stated.

"What?" Donatello furrowed his brows before asking, "Do I look like I need such charity?"

"It's part of the promotion event, Sir…" the handsome male goblin explained.

Nevertheless, Donatello did want to be treated like a beggar and directly took out 100 low-grade nether coins.

"Take it."

"Thank you, Sir."

The handsome goblin kindly accepted.

Shortly after flipping a few sausages onto slices of bread, the handsome male goblin handed the hotdogs to Albion and Donatello.

Donatello showed great interest while receiving his hotdogs; they were foods he had not seen before.

However, he immediately spat out his food after taking his first bite.

"Ptui! This hotdog taste like sh*t! Ptui, ptui! I should have expected this from lower-class stores!" Donatello spat with a look of disgust.

"Oh?" Albion suddenly smiled before he could take his first bite and asked the turtle manager jokingly, "Do you know when you're at a gay BBQ?"

"When?" Donatello replied with a frown.

"…"

However, Albion didn't answer.

It took a moment before Donatello realized the answer to Albion's question and looked at the hotdog in his hand with even more disgust.

He had already answered the question!

"F*ck!" Donatello hurled the hotdog away.

Shortly after, Albion also chucked away his own hotdog with a soft chuckle, having lost his appetite after making the joke.
