Chapter 597 Trouble in Paradise!-2
" Oh, Mayra good that you are here. Can you take care of Elise for a minute while I show them around?" He failed to notice the immediate tension in the air when Mayra and Hannah lock gazes.
" Of course but-"
" So she is the new one." Hannah said instinctively observing Mayra from top to bottom. She had to admit her brother really had good choice when it came to girls. Mayra had an exotic look with her almond skin and grey eyes but what caught her eye was her perfect proportion.
Despite Mayra dressing modestly she couldn't hide her hourglass figure coupled with an above average height, she matched Samuel's temperament.
" Did you say something?" He asked.
" No, no I was only commenting about the new house design." She corrected herself.
" Can we please go inside? I can't hold on much longer." Kiko appeared to be struggling to hold Elise. Everyone settled down in the living room, Samuel went upstairs to settle their luggage but for some reason the girls stayed behind.
Samuel didn't think much of it but he was forgetting that it was their first meeting. He was under the impression that Mayra already knew about his sister but he failed to mention it to her.
Kiko put Elise on the sofa and sat down herself finally catching her breath. But no one was worried about her lack of strength, there was a psychological warfare brewing between Mayra and Hannah.
" My brother called you Mayra right? That's a unique name." Hannah started the conversation.
" That's the name my parents gave me. What are yours?" Mayra was also curious about their identity because Samuel seemed to care a lot about these two especially the fiesty one. She didn't think Samuel would be foolish enough to mingle with underage girls which they clearly were and if he did, he would be facing Mayra wrath like never before.
"I am Hannah and this is my friend Kiko but lets focus on you now. How do you know him?" Hannah wanted to study her opponent before giving any judgement. Since she already passed the beauty standard, she wanted to delve into her personality.
Mayra on the other hand was taken aback, a kid was asking her question like they were sitting down for an interview. She had the similar feeling when she first met Samuel's mother! But unlike being nervous, she wanted to mess with the brat that seemed so full of herself.
" You don't know? I am his wife and Elise is his daughter." She even put one hand to cover her mouth giving signals that she mocking her for lack of knowledge.
" What?! That's not possible!" She exclaimed completely losing her initiative, she looked at Mayra and Elise there was no resemblance! But thinking about it some more, with how cute Elise was there was a possibility of her taking after her brother.
There was also the fact that Samuel defied most beauty standards, with how perfect his facial feature was he could pass as most races of people if he had darker shade. Elise seemed to be the perfect mix!
Kiko on the other hand could see Mayra smiling because she was sitting between them and she could peek behind her hand. She also knew Samuel was not a rash person and was way too busy with his business, he would rush into these things without proper preparation. She continued playing with Elise, feigning ignorance while enjoying their little drama.
" I guess you two must not be close then, everyone already knows about us. First we were lovers in college then when...you know." Mayra hid her face because she couldn't control her laughter looking at Hannah's gaping mouth.
On the other hand, Hannah thought she was acting bashful and failed to notice her little ruse.
" It was a fiery weekend, we were-"
" I don't need to know the details!" Hannah stopped her before she could say anything explicit.
"Then Elise appeared, having a child in my teenage years was hard. My family disowned because it's frowned upon in my community to have a baby out of wedlock which made me homeless. I had to work odd jobs day and night just to support her. I thought about searching for Samuel but he was nowhere to be found." Mayra paused like she was collecting her thoughts.
Hannah suddenly started feeling sorry for her enemy, it was the worst outcome because she didn't have the heart to rob a maiden's happiness!
" I though he already forgotten about our passionate love-"
" Mhmm." Hannah knew she was about to get on a tangent again.
" But everything changed when I started seeing him on the internet. I was so relieved when I saw him doing good, I thought something must have happened to my love because he was unreachable for so long."
" How do you meet again then?" Hannah asked, she was finally catching up to her over the top acting! She could sense there was something very wrong because Mayra was not giving her any substantial details!
" Oh, I happen to catch him when he landed in Paris. There were a sea of people waiting for him but as you can tell by our eternal love, he was able to sense me."
" Sense you?" Kiko asked trying to play along.
" I might have screamed his name couple of times but you should have seen him. He rushed to my side and immediately kissed me. I panicked because I know he was a wealthy and mingling with someone like me would damage his reputation but he said he didn't care, that's how much he missed me!" Mayra covered her face with both hands acting shy.
" It looks like true love to me." Kiko supported her while Hannah couldn't help but curse under her breath! The friend that she believed was always sharp was falling for a blatant scam!
" True love my ass! She definitely seduced my naive brother exploiting his kind personality!" Hannah thought. She was sure about it but it would be hard to prove because everyone in the Estate seemed to bought her lie!
