Chapter 596 Trouble in Paradise!-1
" Wow! It looks like a castle!" Hannah exclaimed as soon as she laid eyes on Samuel's new home. Unlike the usual concrete structures populating the city, it was a refreshing sight for her to see the stone and wood castle that was still in the process of being built.
" It really look nice, reminds me of home." Kiko also commented. Hailing from the oldest living monarchy, the imperial family did possessed some impressive homes all around Japan especially their imperial house at the heart of Tokyo.
" It's still not finished as you can see by that pile of construction material over there. It was the reason why I was suggesting you bunker up in the main mansion." Samuel tried one last time hoping to change their minds.
" Why? It's much better here. Looking at all these greenery why would you even what to do anything to it. The wall seems finished and by the looks of those impressive hanging balcony, we can just camp there if we want to."
Samuel didn't even know what to say anymore? They were so adamant to stay with him that camping had became an option for them. He looked at Kiko who skillfully evade his gaze trying not to laugh seeing his dumbfounded expression.
" Okay, since you are so determined, camp where ever you want just remember there are a lot of mosquitos even though it's winter but first let's head inside."
Hannah pouted but still followed behind him as he carried their stuff with him and right on cue like Elise had sensed him, she came running calling out to him. Since his hands were busy, he wasn't able to lift her up but it was not needed as she immediately hid herself seeing he wasn't alone.
" Oh my god! Who is this cutie!" Hannah immediately cornered the little girl. Looking her her doll like appearance, she was instantly captivated by her cuteness! Samuel didn't want Elise to feel uncomfortable since he knew next was Hannah grabbing Elise not caring that the little girl was trying to hide between Samuel's legs out of fear.
" Careful, you are scaring her!" But Kiko came to the rescue and peeled her over dramatic friends to the side.
" Brother! You never told me about her! Who is she!?" Hannah didn't care and immediately began asking questions.
" I will tell you about it later." He put down the luggage at the entrance and picked the little girl in arms who was cautiously looking at two new strangers.
" There is no need to be scared. She is my sister, Hannah and that's her friend Princess Kiko." Samuel introduced them.
" Hello, Elise. It's nice to meet you!" Hannah greeted her cheerfully but the little girl was focused on Kiko. She did in fact heard the word 'Princess' attached to her name.
" Are you really a princess?" She asked innocently looking at Kiko who looked a lot different from the european people because of her exceptional asian beauty. She even dressed differently, a lot modest with her long silky black hair pulled up in ponytail but it was not messy or haphazard like most people.
" I am."
" Do you live in a castle too?"
" I don't think I will call it that but it similar." Kiko liked her innocent smile when she affirm her identity as a royalty. Everyone could see Elise shiny eyes meeting a real life princess for the first time. Samuel could feel her fidgeting in his embrace so he asked," Do you want to go to her?"
Apparently it shocked both parties, Elise who was not sure about it while Kiko who didn't have much experience with children because she still considered herself as a kid despite being fifteen. Samuel didn't care as he handed her to Kiko and picked up their luggage again.
Unlike Samuel who was over six foot tall, Kiko was tiny coupled with the fact she didn't know how to hold children, her arms already started hurting. Elise being a smart girl positioned herself in her embrace seeing Kiko struggling which eased her burden.
" Let's go settle you in." Samuel ignored Hannah's jealous eyes and started leading them.
" Do you also have a horse?" Elise became comfortable enough to interact with Kiko on her own.
" Yeah, I took few lessons when I was a child but I am not that comfortable with them right now. If you come to my country I can show you the Tochigi ranch." Imperial family did have a large ranch that was quite famous since most of the kings were fond of horses. It was so big that there were more than fifty people required to take care of everything, compared to it Samuel's recent ranch was miniscule.
" There is horses here too! I met them today, Pepper, Moxuei, Swor."
" Moxie and Sjors."
" Yeah. We became friends today!" Elise proclaimed because for her a princess had to get along with animals especially horses that often appear in her picture books. She began telling everything to Kiko while Hannah scooted over to Samuel's side to ask," What is she talking about?"
" Ah right, I remember you left early during Grayson's birthday. I got him a horse but since it will be alone, I brought few more. Ultimately it turned into a small ranch."
" What! Why has no one told me about it?"
" I don't know. Everyone knows about it already."
" Does that include big sister Adele and Iblis?"
" Probably." Hannah pouted again, she also loved horses but unfortunately never had any chance to interact with them. Unbeknownst to her the majestic animals were sitting right in her backyard without her knowing! She was here to disrupt the environment and it added one more reason on her list to do so!
" Elise! Elise!" Suddenly they heard someone coming their way.
" Oh, Sami you are back. What's this?" It was Mayra who came looking for Elise who suddenly disappeared only to find Samuel carrying some suitcases along with two unfamiliar faces that she never seen before.
