Chapter 577 Situation around the globe-2
Meanwhile in Korea, SK Boys and Grace Generation were experiencing what their future held for them. After the successful negotiation, they had cut ties from their former agency and were looking to make a name for themselves all over again.
There were ten of them, all the main members agreed to follow Park's idea but the reserve members thought it was best for them to stay with the company. Studio Dragon, which was managed by Park didn't even have their formal agency established yet.
From the outside perspective, they were a medium size marketing company that acted as a intermediary for album released overseas and were just jumping into producing their own television series but it was still to be released.
With a track record like that they were not willing to hand over their futures to an unknown entity and very much decided to endure their current predicament hoping everything died down soon. There was also the problem of members that were leaving to be blacklisted by the SK corporation, it would take a miracle if they ever make a comeback if they didn't go under the umbrella of other two media giants.
" Alright we are here. This will be your home from now own." Park took them to their new residence but they were standing inside a supermarket when he said it.
" I don't get it? You want us to live inside the shop?" Leeteuk asked. He had his own home but was only here to see what type of facilities Park provided his crew.
" Hahaha of course not! As you can see they are closed today but you will have special access to this place. What I am talking about is this building is yours."
Everyone was gobsmacked hearing him waiting for him to laugh again but he was serious. They were in a highrise building in Gangnam district the most expensive piece of land in the whole country. With this building that appeared to be at least twenty storey tall, they couldn't imagine how much it was worth.
" Are you serious?" Mi Sun was here for the same reason as him.
" I am not joking guys. It was something that I asked boss to buy because it was selling at reasonable price. The owner was going bankrupt due to the recent crash and needed a lot of money as soon as possible."
" Boss? Are you talking about Sami? He has this much money lying around?" Ningning asked.
Park didn't know whether to laugh or cry hearing her, it seemed they didn't know much about his boss because if they did, they wouldn't be asking such dumb questions.
" Don't worry about that, let's go up. There is two different entrances and they take the same keycard. One is separate at the front of the store but I think you guys should use the shop elevator, it's much discreet." Park brushed up her question and moved on.
They nodded thinking what he said make sense, if they suddenly vanished inside the store even the people that were following them would have a hard time figuring out their actual location. They could also see few guards patrolling both entrances making it more secure.
Park took them directly to level four, the elevator seemed modern and could hold quite a lot of people.
" The first four floors are leased out to businesses. There is also a clause in their contract to not leake anything about the residents so don't worry about visiting them since they will know that you are living here. There are quite a number of shops but they are all high end, a high-end spa, a gaming lounge, a barber shop and the supermarket that you already went through. Sadly there is no restaurant but there is a good place that I highly recommend just few blocks from here." He began explaining about the amenities.
They basically had everything they needed in their day to day life within a hundred meter radius of the high-rise.
" What about-"
" The recording studio? It's on floor below the penthouse. Just wait till you see it, I managed to snag a struggling businessman and basically imported everything and also upgraded to the same things that one can find in foreign labels."
He went ahead and showed them everything, their living quarters. There were also spare rooms for if those with homes like Leeteuk and Mi Sun decided to spend the late nights here. To give the girls some privacy, their flats were on different floors. It was only a precaution to avoid any further scandals.
They were all friends that had known each other since their trainee days, if some were to get together it would have happened by now. The spare floors were normal living apartments if they want to move their family in or for any visiting composer or artist that they could collab in the future.
Everything was meticulously thought out, Park and his other employees gave their best because they already had a trainee band but they were still quite behind from their debut. These facilities were first left out for their use but with Grace and SK's sudden arrival, they decided to first hand them out to them and think about others later when they made more name for themselves.
" It's good and a lot beyond what I expected but why is he doing all this? It's not like we are top bands anymore." Yoona said. She had been in self doubt for few days now because she was still reading nasty comments that were made toward her scandal online.
" It's not a charity, the boss has left everything that has to do with Korean entertainment to me so don't even think that I am doing it as a favour or something. I don't even know you guys but just like him, I have firm belief that with a little push you guys will be able to stand at the top of this industry who knows someday you guys will become so famous that the whole world would be clamoring your name. Now the name you were given by SK, it will be something different. A name that will better reflect your personalities!"
" I still think he is aiming for an impossible goal." Mi Sun shrugged. It was too far-fetch of a concept for her to digest.
" We will see. Let me show you were you will be staying." They continued their tour.
No one knew at that time that, these two small band would become such a powerhouse and bring so much money to the economy that even government gave them full support from the shadows. But it was something that would happen few years from now.
