Chapter 533 A late night visit-1
" He has been waiting here for few minutes. I thought it's best if you were the one who talked with him."
" Did something happen? Last I heard, he was very angry at me."
" I heard that Lady Laura had a long talk with him. He feel remorseful and was searching for you but you weren't at home which was why he came here to look for you." Arthur added.
" Alright, I will go and talk to him." Samuel thought it was best to hear what he had to say. It's not like he didn't understand where he came from, but he hurt him significantly.
Samuel went outside and saw him sitting beside the pool area. He was looking in the distance, seemingly in a daze, because he didn't even see him approaching.
" I heard you have been looking for me." Samuel made his presence known.
" Big brother, when did you come here?" Grayson flinches, hearing his voice suddenly.
" That's not important, I heard you have something to say to me."
".... I am sorry for earlier." He whispered.
" Hmm?"
" I said, I am sorry for what I said earlier. Mother told me about a few things; I swear I didn't know about any of it, or else I wouldn't have said-" he had his head down, not daring to look his big brother in the eye.
" It's alright. I accept your apology." Samuel was surprised to hear that their mother talked about his past. It was bound to get out, but he didn't want Grayson to feel different just because they were not blood-related.
" Really? Thank....god.." Grayson tried hard to fight his tears. He was instantly relieved hearing Samuel's soft voice. He never thought he would be forgiven because he didn't take the issue lightly.
" Hey, are you crying? Are you still feeling bad about it?" Samuel knelt down and patted his head.
" No, I am not crying. Men don't cry."
" It's alright, buddy. Come here. It's not that we don't cry but we just learn to hide it better. I don't know what mother told you but you have to remember you will always be my cute little brother. I will always have your back no matter what. Alright?" He hugged him as he sobbed in his embrace.
" It's not like we will not fight in future so never shy away if you feel something is wrong. I promise I will handle in better in the future."
" But I don't want to fight with big brother."
" Having an argument doesn't mean that we don't love each other. You have seen mother and father fight sometimes right? But they always make up after some time."
" Hmm."
" Alright, let's go inside. Are you hungry? I will ask Mayra to make some snack. Here, you are getting bigger every time I come back here. In few years, I won't be able to lift you in my arms." He carried Grayson in his arms as they headed inside.
Arthur awaited them, and Samuel quickly told him to fix something for them. He saw Adele playing with Elise while Mayra watched from the side, but Iblis was nowhere to be seen.
" Did you guys talked it out? It's not good for brothers to be fighting, you know." Mayra commented.
" We did. I can see that Adele has already made herself at home." He looked around but didn't see Iblis anywhere.
" If you are looking for the other one, she already went to her room. She was very embarrassed after she regained some sanity after you left. When I first met her I thought she was just a rich spoiled brat but who would have known that there was a pure maiden hidden beneath that rash persona." Mayra said with a smile.
" That's why I brought her here, I want to get her out of her shell. I want her to understand what she truly want which is why this little vacation will be great for us." Adele added.
" Wait a minute, you guys will be staying here?" Samuel asked.
" Of course, I already asked my mother for permission. She basically told me that I can do anything as long as her favorite son, Sami agree to it. You know it's hurtful knowing that my own mother trust someone else more than her real daughter but I can't blame her for it. Iblis may have to go to Hansons for family christmas party but other than that we are free for few weeks at least."
" That's great."
" You don't sound so happy about it. Do you not want us to be here?" Adele squinted her eyes.
" When did I ever say that? I just thought this place was still in building stage, there might not be that much room-"
" You don't have to worry about that. I checked, even if we have few more people each can have their own private room but if we share we can fit twenty people in this place." Mayra informed with a smile on her face.
" That's good news. I really love to call everyone here." Hearing Adele's enthusiastic smile, Samuel almost fainted. If she really called every one, what sort of disaster would that entail? They would eat him alive!
" But we send out an invite in group chat. It's not like they didn't want to come. Everyone has their own traditional family dinner that they couldn't miss out beside they are all in States which makes it harder for them to slip out for short periods." Samuel breathed a sigh of relief, hearing her say it.
" It's good to spend time with family every now and then. We shouldn't disturb them right?"
" Why don't I feel like you are only saying that because you don't want to introduce me to them?" Mayra quickly guessed his intentions.
" Nonsense! How can I shy away from showing that I am with such a beautiful and intelligent girl? Don't you think so too Elise? Isn't aunt pretty?"
" Un!" The little girl wasn't unaware of what they were talking about, but she agreed with Samuel because that's what she thought, too.
" No need to flatter me." Mayra was happy for the compliment but knew it was not genuine.
" Is that so? Why don't we gave them a call? There is a brand new video calling function rolled out this month, it will be great if they can meet face to face."
" Thats-"
" Sir, I bring you some refreshment and snacks. I also instructed someone to bring young master's favorite snack, they will be here any moment." Arthur came in suddenly.
" Great timing!" Samuel praised the old man in his heart. After this, he turned the conversation away to more exciting topics like shopping and the estate's latest addition, a horse ranch and animal sanctuary.
They talked excitedly and made plans to go to the city on a shopping spree while enjoying some premium tea. Iblis also showed herself after Arthur called her downstairs; she looked meek but quickly was engulfed in the spirit of window shopping. The premise was that Samuel would be the one to take them around, to which he agreed immediately.
After an hour, Samuel sent his little brother away on Arthur's watch. It was not great for him to be out here as the sky turned dark. He asked if Samuel would be joining him for dinner, to which he said no; Mayra had been busy making a lot of dishes since the afternoon. He couldn't let them go to waste.

As they finished their meal, Iblis pushed Samuel aside briefly before whispering in his ear." I will wait for you in my room; don't be late." She scurried away, hiding her blushing face.
Samuel expected something like this to happen, but he didn't picture Iblis as the one to do it. She always acted high and mighty when it came to these things, but now that he had a green signal, he didn't want to let go of this chance.
" I guess you will not share the bed with me tonight." Adele popped out while looking at Samuel with a knowing expression.
" I don't mind one more person."
" It's fine. I will let her have you just because she is my best friend but this is just a one time deal. From tomorrow I don't care who it is, you will have to share the bed with me either alone or with other." She said her piece and left.
Samuel didn't know if she was joking when she said it, but she sounded serious from the look in her eyes. He went to the kitchen to help Mayra with the dishes, after which he went upstairs to tuck Elise, who was already dozing off in the living room.
Mayra didn't say anything to him; it seemed like they already made some pact. Samuel didn't know about it; he was taking a shower before thinking about going through with it. It wouldn't be like before when they messed up while being intoxicated.
He would make a concrete decision while fully controlling his mental faculties. If he decided to go, it would change everything. He contemplated and finally settled on an answer.
