Chapter 502 Clark

It didn't take long for a group to waltz toward the scene. Seeing the person, Avery's anxious mood instantly stabilized, and she pulled out her panicked and weary expression like usual.

It didn't seem to affect him much, but at least he would be more aggressive to defend her.

" Dear, you are finally here; I was bullied by these two girls." She once again showed a desperate expression, immediately going for the kill. She was sneering on the inside, knowing what fate awaited her enemies!

At this time, her expression was as pitiful as an injured kitten, and the set of expressions he had trained so well could stimulate the bypasser's desire to protect her!

However, what everyone did not expect was that the man slapped Avery's face without saying a word. He was quick with it, and half of her face was swollen in an instant, showing how strong he hit her.

Avery clutched half of her face, her eyes filled with disbelief: "Dear, dear, why did you hit me." With a crying expression, which was completely different from her pretend face, she asked because she felt something was wrong!

"I hit you to make you recognize where you are! Don't embarrass me outside!" He didn't even look at her but was more interested in the girls before him. There was a crazy desire to conquer in his eyes. He was even smirking, which only made him look more creepy.

The look made Emma and the girl very uncomfortable, and at the same time, they wondered about the person's identity. He was surrounded by guards who didn't look ordinary and a few girls standing behind his back, constantly fishing for his attention.

" Miss Emma, I really like your movies." He smiled wildly, which sent chills down her spine. It was not a look of admiration; instead, it looked evil, like he was looking at prey. Even the bystanders were uncomfortable looking at it.

Emma didn't answer but frowned slightly to let him know she was unhappy with how he talked to her. Knowing her identity, it was hard to imagine who dared to be so presumptuous as not to greet her properly.

" Sir, if you treat a lady like this, people will say you are not gentle enough." The girl took the initiative to attack him with a subtle remark. She was well versed in dealing with people like him, and with his unknown identity, she refrained from saying anything outrageous.

" Oh, Miss Dhia, I see that you have grown up. I remember seeing you as a child; now you have become a beautiful young girl." He said it like he knew her. Dhia was taken aback; she was sure she had hidden her identity well, but somehow he found out about it.

It was more severe than she imagined; he was staring at her hungrily, too, making her squirm. She knew he was dangerous and, from the corner of her eyes, started looking for her guards.

" You know that no guards are allowed in this place, right? There is no point in looking around."

" H-how?"

" Because I practically own the place. If I said it's not allowed, it becomes a rule. Ah, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Clark Rockefeller; it's so nice to meet you two." He announced his name very arrogantly to every one to hear.

Everyone sucked a breath of cold air hearing his title. Fuck, It's their fucking ancestor! No wonder he was so rampant with his approach! Everyone had similar thoughts that one couldn't mess with this dude!

The Rockefeller Consortium ranked number two, right behind Morgan, among the top ten consortia in the United States. Their history was well known, and their accolades included being the world's first billionaire.

For now, they were low-key people barely in the news, but in upper circles, only the title was enough to scare people. Despite being second rank in the wealth standing, they had a richer history than Morgan, and conspiracy theorists believed they went underground primarily because of fear of the public discovering their hidden assets.

The family, which had prospered for six generations so far, was known as the 'mark of world wealth,' was interconnected with the prosperity of the United States, and even had a broad standing in international politics and economy.

Emma and Dhia were also frowning; unexpectedly, the man had a significant background. Especially Dhia knew what it meant and how difficult it would be if he decided to make trouble for them!

Fortunately, they had a few seconds of breather when he started questioning Avery again about the incident.

"Tell me, what happened?" Clark spoke again; his tone was not as frivolous as when talking to Emma and Dhia. he looked a bit cold and clearly directed at Avery.

"Well, that lady splashed water on me while washing her hands. One thing led to another, so I shouted a few words at her." Avery was obviously scared at this point. She was uncomfortable speaking as she knew Clark was offended about something, or why would he strike her.

She could feel the numbness and sharp pain in her jaw; it felt like her teeth came out of her mouth. It was not a pretty sight.

"Then why is there a conflict with Miss Emma?" Her answer obviously did not satisfy Clark.

"Well, after that, Miss Emma took Miss Dhia directly. I was furious for a while, so I followed them. That's when she pushed me. That's it." He was icy as he heard the details. She didn't dare to conceal or make up shit like before and was respectful throughout the whole thing. She tactfully didn't tell him about the time she cursed her out, too!

"Huh, a shameful thing." Clark snorted, not looking at Avery anymore. She was done for him; he already moved on to better things.

"Miss Emma, Miss Dhia, Is she telling the truth?" He confirmed it with them.

" Yes." Dhia also didn't mention anything. It was better to be out of his hair as soon as possible. Emma also nodded in confirmation.

"Well, in that case, to express my apologies for her rude behavior, I punished her. I don't know if Miss Dhia is satisfied. If not, you can press further." His words caused Avery to shudder. Looking at Dhia pleadingly, she conveyed her begging without making a sound!

"No need. It's fine." Dhia didn't know what he wanted; she was satisfied with the slap. She tried to get away as fast as possible!

"Since Miss Dhia said so, I will spare her." He waved his hand casually, and like clockwork, someone took Avery to the back of the group.

"In that case, we are leaving." Emma nodded towards Clark and wanted to leave with Dhia.

"Wait a minute." But before they took two steps, Clark yelled for them to stop.

"Mr. Clark, Is there something else?" Emma raised her eyebrows and looked at him.

"The matter between her and Miss Dhia is resolved, but your matter has not been resolved." He pulled out the same evil smile from before.

"I don't quite understand what you mean."

"If I heard you right, Miss Emma pushed my person, and you also admitted to it."

"Yes, so what?" She asked.

" You might not know, but I cared about my people deeply; since Miss Emma had done it, it wouldn't be easy to get away with harming my people." After saying that, he asked the second generation next to him for a glass of vodka and poured half.

"Drink this glass of alcohol; we will not owe each other, how about? I have a book for the best private room. What do you take that as your compensation?" He was sure they had to follow him or else he would have perfect pretense to strike!
