The group slowly descended through the depths of the water but didn't find a single living creature around them.

'The fishes and other sea animals were hit by mana too. They must be fighting against themselves for supremacy.' Zack thought as he found his skill to be working perfectly.

His eyes were working completely fine and he could see everything under the water without any worries. The water also didn't come in contact with his eye as a layer of empty air space had formed in front of his face.

As weird as it sounded and looked, Zack was happy this way.

He had no idea how much distance they had covered and how much was left. They just kept on going while hoping that they would reach their destination soon enough.

[ Zack, try summoning Chastiefol and see if it responds to anything. ] Hayden suggested as the water slowly started turning extremely dark and murky.

Even the glasses were trying hard to provide enough light for the trio to see clearly. Zack also knew this as he summoned Chastiefol beside him.

The golden spear floated beside him but no window popped up in front of him. He then decided to summon the eighth form and it worked.

[ Would you like to enter the 'Cavern of Time'? ]

'Great, I traveled all the way here just to find that Kai might be pulling the strings from behind and controlling us.' Zack thought while facepalming before choosing yes.

The next moment, a huge water bubble surrounded the group. Zack tightly grabbed onto Chastiefol's body as the bubble started shrinking.

Soon enough, it touched their skin, making them vanish.

'And here we go again.' Zack thought as the world below his feet flipped around and he appeared on a beach with naked feet.

His eyes immediately looked around to see that his friends too were standing beside him.

"We look… different."

After hearing his words, all of them noticed that their clothes looked different than what they had worn earlier.

Zack and Hayden were wearing trousers with blue and black shirts respectively. Coats of the same color hung on their neck while Lisa and Emma were wearing dresses.

Lisa's was a beautiful white dress with a pattern of lilies drawn from the neckline to the bottom which stretched down to her lower knees.

Emma's dress was pink in color and was adorned with a few jewels. It barely reached her thighs while she wore white stockings up to her knees.

"First of all, I am going to change out of these," Emma grumbled as she tried to access her inventory.

However, nothing appeared in front of her which made her sigh and look at the group in dismay.

"Well, these are the kinds of visions I experience so you guys now know how I feel when I see a rather weird version of you guys," Zack replied as he looked behind to see where they were.

The beach extended into a forest beyond which nothing was visible. Zack knew that it was a memory from the past yet he wondered why they were standing on such a point.

"It's because the gap between the past, the present, and the future is very thin here. You can almost think of them as mirrors here." Kai's voice suddenly echoed around the place as the god too appeared on the beach.

However, he looked different from before and his aura too was much more powerful. His eyes were brimming with power while a thick aura surrounded his body.

"This is also the place where you are the strongest and can bring your prison too. It's also the place where time can be manipulated to a certain extent." Zack added automatically before being surprised by his answer.

"Yes, you are correct. This is also the place where all of you are even more connected to the past, thus making it easier for me to do the next thing. I have been tired of being the only one to remember the entire thing."

Kai then snapped his fingers as his purple eyes started glowing brightly. A purple mist rose from his palms and slowly surrounded the entire group.

They felt an unknown melody echoing inside their head as Kai carefully manipulated the mist. He took a deep breath before managing to direct every single percent of the mist inside the quartet.

He knew that they weren't the only ones who needed to remember things from their past life but for the time being, they were the most important.

"Now, let's see if the mirror of reality still manages to hold on for some more time or at least until you get your past abilities and skills. This time, neither I nor Odin will run and desert you."

While controlling the mist, Kai started muttering to himself.

"The actions of the past form the future and this always has been true. I tried to change the past many times but that didn't work. But now, changing the future would have a similar effect on the past.

The world will enter despair once Hikari and Earth combine, forcing all the humans to live in their new world. Then, you will once again be the hope of the people as well as my hope."

Kai then closed his eyes as his hands started trembling. Now was the most difficult task that he had to do and after he succeeded, the quartet would remember everything.

'That is unless and until I run out of power which I think I will. Well, I just have to make them remember everything until the end of the war.'

And with that, Kai started pulling on the past and started gathering all the memories from the past before putting them inside the quartet's head.

He used everything he had to slowly reach forward but just when he reached the starting of 'that' part, he felt his powers slowly vanishing.

Kai had to forcefully cut the process to prevent himself from vanishing before he sighed.

He had tried his best and given them most of their memories at the cost of his powers. Now, he just had to wait and hope that they would rise once again.

"Now everything rests on your shoulders, heirs of the world."
