Chapter 156: Who is Li Mu?
Outside the Demon Tower.
The Demon Clan masters from the various regions, including Feng Baiqing, Thunder and Ao Guangzhi were gathered.
Ao Guangzhi’s long body coiled around the tower as he spoke. “The Demon Tower used to be an icon of the Demon Clan, but now it’s locked in place here by the legendary masters of the Human Race. If we have the chance, we must seize it back.”
Thunder stared at the Demon Smelt Tower but his gaze wasn’t focused. “The great war that year caused the Demon Clan to suffer great losses, but so did the Humans. The great Demons, joined by countless demons and orcs, have been suppressing the Humans for so many years. They should have already vented their anger from the war.”
“It’s such a pity that we can’t get the Demon Tower back.”
Pity!
That is the greatest regret of the Demon Clan.
“The only way we can seize it back is if we reach the top of the tower.”
Reaching the top?
Was that even possible?

“What is it? The rankings on the slab have been stagnant for many years. What are you looking at?” Thunder asked in puzzlement.
“We haven’t even entered the first level, there’s no need to keep staring at the rankings.”
Feng Baiqing walked around to the back of the Stele. “Look carefully… The rankings are changing,” he said as he pointed to the rankings.
On the wall of inscriptions, one single line was rapidly skipping up the ranks.
Fenglan Region, Human, Li Mu.
It rose up rapidly from level 37, and quickly reached over level 40.
“What’s there to see? Fenglan hasn’t had anyone on the rankings in so many years. Now that the Land of Demon Slayers has appeared in Fenglan, it’s only natural that some ofthe region’s prodigies would attempt to get on the rankings. Didn’t we already expect to see this?”

“Don’t underestimate this guy. He got on to level 47 with ease. And now he’s on the way to level 50. Anyone who reaches above level 50… well that’s enough to change one’s fate.”

Three of the greatest masters in the continent stood staring at a stone slab.
They stood there, looking at the ranking, for some time. Their expressions changed.
The other clans that have arrived at the Demon Tower for the trial were also bewildered.
One of the elders got curious and used his divine consciousness to seep through the rankings. His expression changed as well. anged drastically as well.
“Who is Li Mu?” the elder asked.
“What Li Mu?”
“Which Li Mu?”
The orcs behind him were all baffled.
“The Human Li Mu!”
“Human? What’s wrong elder?”
“Nothing, go ahead and enter the tower! I’ll take another look!”
The orcs looked questioningly at one other. Although they were confused, they followed their orders. The orcs carefully went around Fen Baiqing’s group and quickly entered the tower.
Feng Baiqing was unmoving as he stared at the stone slab. It looked as if he was possessed.
He didn’t care that the other clans from Fenglan had entered the Demon Tower.
As time passed, Li Mu’s name kept moving rapidly up the ranks.
“He’s at level 57 now. At this rate he’ll actually be able to reach level 60.”
“I changed my opinion, he’ll reach at least level 65,” Feng Baiqing said.
Thunder opened his mouth, but he didn’t say anything.
Ao Zhiguang glared at Li Mu’s name on the Stele, he still wasn’t convinced.
“Shall we wait to see the highest level he can reach?”
If it is really above level 60, then Li Mu can be considered a prodigy on the same level as them.
Before coming to the Demon Tower, Feng Baiqing had read the Demon Tower records of many of his predecessors. He desperately wanted to predict which level he would be able to reach.
