Chapter 132 132. Serena the Assassin

That army was of course the holy knights and fanatics of the church of Light.

Their god instantly manifested themes levels to them and even gave them power.

With the defeat of the demon king many years ago and the presence of the heroes in families, the fanaticism of the believers of the holy light is as high as ever.

The recent unearthing of the new saint of light didn't make anything better in Lucius's case.

Once again it seemed like Landon was destined to be his greatest obstacle no matter what he did.

Lucius sighed and looked at the raging group of soldiers beneath him as cold light flashed in his eyes.

'No matter what happens, I will have to crush him!'

Like that, Lucius didn't stay too long after establishing his presence in the mind of the army of soldiers and left.

...

After travelling to the meeting with the higher-ups of the Revolutionary Army, Lucius had long since returned and now quite a while had passed.

Lucius woke up starting the next day and was prepared to act.

Now that he had recovered Lucius had to move on and increase his strength for the next wave of events that would shake sanctuary.

Unfortunately for a certain someone when Lucius spoke about increasing his strength, it would often elevate itself to stealing the protagonist's chances!

But this time he wouldn't be stealing an object or power up, no this time, Lucius would be stealing his Master.

See simply put Landon, the protagonist was a genius.

The type of genius that made one despair by just watching them.

He was such a genius in the field of swordsmanship that Landon didn't even see the point in getting a personal tutor for Swordsmanship specifically for the simple reason that learning swordsmanship came as easy as breathing to him.

So instead of learning swordsmanship Landon had an even more outrageous thought. He decided that he would learn the techniques of other teachers and professors and integrate the techniques to create a supreme swordsmanship technique.

It was as ridiculous as it sounded.

A sword as agile and as fast as a dagger, as piercing as a spear and as heavy as a hammer.

Such a technique would be nothing short of divine!

But this wasn't something that Lucius could realistically try—not to mention the difficulty of getting a group of master-level teachers to teach you their best technique, The level of talent needed to learn these techniques alone was ridiculous and the level of swordsmanship mastery needed to learn and integrate these techniques into one sword technique was even more ridiculous.

It was later stated in the story that Landon had some sort of weapon mastery talent allowing him to quickly learn and master weapon techniques. So whilst it wasn't as outstanding as its swordsmanship talent it was still enough to make him a genius in a large selection of weapons.

Lucius obviously didn't have this talent and he couldn't afford to buy it either so he was forced to narrow down his range of a multitude of weapons techniques to integrate into his swordsmanship and narrowed it down to one technique.

Naturally, if he was to do it he would have to take the strongest and most influential technique to integrate into his swordsmanship and that was the dagger technique.

Fortunately for Lucius the teacher of this technique also had another important role to play, she was also a heroine in the story.

Tbh it shouldn't be that unexpected what was a protagonist's harem without a milf teacher to help him along the way?

It was just unfortunate for Landon that now that Lucius was here he was destined not to be able to enjoy this privilege.

As Lucius walked to the training room where he would meet the teacher for dagger arts that he had chosen he tried to remember all the information he could remember about her.

Her name was Serena and she had a special status in the academy for some reason she was not obligated to teach any lessons and yet she still held the status of a teacher.

But later in the story, her situation was exposed.

This wasn't just any old teacher she was an Assassin and not just any old assassin but an ex-member of an organisation the Bloody Hand!

To put things into perspective the Bloody Hand was a terrifying organisation known for their perfect and ruthless assassinations and known as one of the top three greatest assassin organisations on the continent.

The reason these organisations had the name of the greatest assassin organisations on the continent was that they were the only organisations that had assassinated a member of the heroic families and survived to continue in the business of Assassination. Such a feat alone should be enough to show how terrifying the bloody hand group was.

Serena was an extremely talented assassin showing levels of talent in the organisation that had talent rarely even been seen before.

But what made things tragic for her was despite her talents she was not built to be an Assassin.

She was just to compassionate and kind

See, an organisation like the bloody hand would only allow for their Assassins to be the best of the best.

Naturally the only way to ensure that you have the best assists was to raise them yourself!

Hundreds of orphans would be kidnapped at a time and trained to be Assassins through endless years of gruelling exercises and missions.

Serena rose through the ranks with her astronomical talent expertly completing each assassination without fail but due to her compassion each kill would leave her more and more broken.

After all, the bloody hand was an assassination organisation not heroes of Justice.

Sometimes the task would be to remove utter scum off the surface of the earth and at other times it would be to decimate helpless innocent families.

As long as the price was paid the blood will flow, such was the motto of the bloody hand
