After using Solaris to drastically change their facial features, there was not much for them to do anymore.

However, Jason didn't even think of camouflaging his stigma because it was more than enough to not activate it.

Meanwhile, his aura was retracted, yet ready to be fully unleashed at a moment's notice.

This could be compared to a mental attack if used properly.

So, Jason was quite intrigued if it would work as he assumed.

Jennifer also did her part to ensure that she looked nothing like her usual self.

She had even dyed her hair as per Jason's advice.

Thus, she was now black-haired as he was, with quite ordinary facial features.

Both of them chose ordinary features so as to not stand apart from the rest.

But, Jason had to change his facial feature once again because his golden eyes became too much of a highlight if his other facial features were not equally striking.

As such, he didn't change his original features drastically, but only a little.

Meanwhile, Jennifer's eye color was quite a mystery to Jason from the beginning.

Sometimes she had silver pupils with crimson outlines, but other times she was able to change her eye color to a dark brown, just as she had right now.

He believed that she was unable to wear contact lenses as her eye color would shine through them, just like the case with him.

However, oddly enough, everything seemed to be totally fine with her, and Jason simply accepted it.

After all of their changes were finally completed, the two of them left the elemental cave, before traveling towards their first destination.

This first destination of theirs was, in fact, the city that had once been governed by Luna.

Jennifer was well known inside the small city, even before the incident with her master.

Thus, disguising herself was a prerequisite to enter the city and walk through it freely.

It also served as a small test. If nobody would be able to identify her, most probably, she could safely travel outside the city as well.

With that in mind, they solved two tasks at once. The first was to figure out if someone would be able to identify Jennifer, while the second was to procure all kinds of resources they required.

They weren't in a dire need of cultivation stones or anything like that in order to cultivate.

Their goal was to help Jason practice the Kanadi of a Primordial technique for which he not only required high-grade mana stones but also the best possible nutrition solutions.

All of this was expensive, and the first thing Jason did was to approach an auction house.

He wanted to earn some easy money by selling four of the exotic terra ranked techniques he still had in his spatial ring.

By selling them at the next auction that was scheduled to be held at the same evening, they would be able to make the most out of the things they sold.

Simultaneously, they would also be able to walk through the city as if everything was perfectly fine.

Through this, they were able to procure quite a lot of information.

Relieved that they were not under the threat of being identified they roamed around much more effortlessly.

Their current location was not that far from the areas where the infiltrating races fought against the Aeus, Devir, and Manyr races' armies.

In fact, even the beasts that were in control of the areas that were used as their battlefield, joined the attacks followed by the adjacent areas' beasts.

They knew that the Aeus and Devir race had given them free rein as long as they steered clear of their cities.

But, this was something they couldn't be sure about with the infiltrating races.

Thus, as they were unsure about their future, they would rather side with someone they knew was relatively safe to fight alongside than to regret anything later.

Jason found this to be quite interesting but it was perfectly normal for beasts that had attained intelligence to think and make choices for themselves.

Having tasted freedom, their first thought was to protect this freedom, which was the reason they chose the Aeus and Devir's side.

This was the only logical solution, and Jason knew that this was the correct one, but he couldn't help but feel bothered about something.

"Aren't the citizens way…too relaxed? It is almost as if they could never imagine that they are safe from the warzone….that they would never feel the heat of the war!"

His confused voice reached Jennifer, who was walking right next to him, their shoulders bumping into each other, once in a while.

And when she heard his voice that was directed towards her, Jennifer turned towards him.

She stared straight into his eyes that were filled with confusion.

At this moment, all kinds of thoughts surfaced in her mind, but none of them was anywhere close to being suitable to relieve Jason of his doubts.

As such, she shook her head, trying to shake off the sense of bewitchment every time she looked into Jason's eyes.

Trying to clear her mind, she thought of a solution to wipe away his doubts.

"If I remember correctly, there had been quite a few invasions before the time…around 500 years ago, I think. Before that time, none of the races was able to claim the Julandra region for themselves, except the Aeus and Devir race that brought the Manyrs with them.

I don't know what exactly changed 500 years ago, but since then there hasn't been a single invasion.

It was also around that time that people began to believe that nothing will happen to the Julandra region. Soo…there has to be something that made other races believe it wouldn't be worth the risk of infiltrating the Julandra region.

They must have feared having too many casualties, or there might be another reason.

However, that is not something I can tell you for sure, because I am not certain about it either…I was not even born at that time after all!"

Jason nodded his head when Jennifer finished her short speech, understanding what she wanted to say.

Even if there was no proper evidence for anything she said, he knew she was not lying, unless she was lied to first.

'So something changed 500 years ago that made everyone confident in the defense of the Julandra region…alright…'

With that in mind, Jason decided to end the discussion of the topic about the nonchalant behavior of the citizens. Instead of bothering about this, he switched to procuring more information.

At the same time, they went to grab a quick meal and entered the auction house once it was time for the auction to begin.

There, the two of them met people they were already familiar with.

However, oddly enough none of them seemed to recall their energy fluctuations that were the biggest hint to their true identity.

In the end, their energy fluctuations had changed four years ago, but that didn't mean that there were no signs of their old self anymore.

Because of that, Jason and Jennifer had been worried a little bit, but that seemed to have been totally unfounded.

As such, once the auction was over, Jason received the profit.

They immediately purchased the goods he required to practice the Kanadi of a Primordial technique before he suddenly got an idea.

"Why don't you try practicing the technique too?"

Jennifer was astonished about this sudden offer, and she looked weirdly at him, only to see that he was serious.

"Do you really think this will be more useful for me than the body refining technique I use?" She thus asked, but Jason merely shrugged his shoulders as he countered.

"I have no idea, but you should give it a try to figure out if it's better or not, right?"

Smiling at Jennifer, he made her doubts disappear in an instant. She nodded her head without realizing before she answered,

"Alright"
