Even for an item holder, it could take years or even a lifetime to develop a supreme technique of his own. Raydon, on the other hand, was able to finish each game with incredible success by developing a supreme technique that he thought would be appropriate for the game after playing for only a few months.

Naturally, the reason for his success was that, in addition to the pleasure of winning every game he played, after a while he made his name known to the whole world, and he finally started to gain the attention he had been hungry for since the day he was born.

During this process, we did not merely sit back and allow him to effortlessly obtain what he desired, of course. During this process, we have presented him with a large number of unanticipated challenges.

We orchestrated encounters with women who appeared supportive, only for them to betray him when he least expected it. We manipulated those he believed to be his friends, causing them to stab him in the back. And just when he believed he had reached the pinnacle of success, we ensured that he experienced a sudden downfall, plunging him back to the depths once more.

However, as time went on, even we began to question whether we had pushed him too far. Yet, to our surprise, he defied all odds and managed to rise to the top once again, triumphing over every challenge we deliberately placed in his path.

As we watched his accomplishments with all of our interest and enthusiasm, our faith in the concept of creating a high race from a human was growing, and we even started to think that we could create a god.

And as time went on, much to our surprise and perplexity, he started to derive pleasure from the very challenges that we had painstakingly crafted for him. It was at that precise moment that we became aware of the fact that we had miscalculated our intentions and had, as a result, inadvertently fueled his desire for enjoyment rather than concentrating solely on his efforts to achieve success.

As soon as we realized there might be a problem resulting from this, we set out to find a solution. After all, if he turned out to be someone who craved fun, he could put our world in danger when he had enough power to do so, and that was the furthest thing from what any of us wanted to see happen.

With this worry, we were starting to rethink our approach and the challenges we had set for him when, all of a sudden, we were faced with a brand-new challenge ourselves.

In fact, it wouldn't be right to call it a challenge, but our doom.

Unbeknownst to us, as we meticulously observed Raydon's daily progress and meticulously crafted his life with the aspiration of his eventual ascension to godhood, we remained oblivious to the fact that another entity had taken notice.

And suddenly, on a tranquil morning in the life we've been leading for some time now, that thing appeared.

A colossal and horrifying black thing materialized above our world, its immense size casting a shadow that eclipsed the very light of the sun, plunging our world into darkness.

Bewildered and taken by surprise, we were unable to comprehend the nature of this entity that had descended upon us, and our initial belief was that it was a calamity brought upon our world.

After all, we still haven't fully recovered from the defeat we suffered in the last world war that we participated in, and the thought occurred to us that the system, recognizing that our world was in a fragile state, eventually sent a calamity to test us.

But it didn't take long for us to realize that this wasn't a calamity.

To begin, the instant that thing manifested itself in the sky, a potent presence the likes of which we had never before encountered descended upon our world. To such an extreme that even the most powerful SS-Ranks among us suddenly found themselves on their knees, helpless in the face of the pressure that was being exerted by this presence.

This oppression was comparable to the racial superiority oppression we experienced during the world war with the Draconian race; however, there was a significant difference between the two. The pressure was one million times greater than it had been at that time.

Also, the realization that this entity, whatever its nature, remained suspended above our world without any movement or deviation from its position, was a clear indication that it was no ordinary calamity.

In an effort to relieve ourselves of the burden imposed by its overwhelming existence, we made an effort to gain a deeper understanding of this mysterious being. Thus, we were able to understand its true nature. This entity was not unfamiliar to us; even the weakest of item holders recognized and understood its presence.

The black eye, a mysterious entity, had always been a silent observer as item holders underwent their awakening processes.

But what really had us on edge was the fact that this thing, which was now observing our world from above, looked much bigger and more menacing than it had before.

At first, we were unable to comprehend why this thing suddenly manifested itself in this manner; however, one particular aspect drew our attention. The eye did not appear to be intending to attack or destroy our world; rather, it appeared to be watching us in a curious manner.

Despite its lack of hostile intentions, the entity's presence alone inflicted harm upon our world, causing the ground to crumble and corrupt with each passing second.

That's why we made the decision to eliminate this unknown threat that posed a danger to our world.

I don't know what we were thinking at the time or why we made this decision, but we decided to attack in order to destroy this thing that we knew was much stronger than us.

And it didn't take us long to figure out that this was, by far, the worst choice we'd ever made in our entire lives.>
