Chapter 426 - Yes, Lots Of Paperwork
Meanwhile, Sasuke was in a pretty good mood. Although he claimed that he didn't care whether the people of Konoha admired him or not, he had to admit that it felt pretty good.
Over the course of the last few days, the "truth" about him leaving the village was spread throughout Konoha: He was on a secret mission all along and didn't betray Konoha at all.
Most people have heard that story by now, so that combined with the rumors about him defeating multiple Akatsuki members, made many people admire him.
Currently, Sasuke was strolling through the Uzumaki compound towards its biggest building with a smug expression on his face.
The last few days were pretty hectic, so he didn't have time yet, but he would ask for Itachi's body today. Sasuke decided to bury him inside the Uchiha compound. As for taking his eyes… Sasuke wasn't sure yet.
A few minutes later, he reached the building's entrance and looked at the two guards with an arrogant expression.
"I'm Sasuke Uchiha, and I'm here to meet Yuna Uzumaki."
The two guards glanced at each other and wondered why the guy in front of them looked at them like they owed him money before shrugging their shoulders.
"Okay, I will contact her and ask whether she is willing to meet you or not, you know."
Sasuke only snorted in disdain when he heard that. There was no doubt that Yuna would meet him immediately in his mind.
The guard took out a small piece of paper with a few seals drawn on it and injected some chakra into it, causing the other guard to open his eyes in shock.
"Not that o…"
*Smack*
"*Moan*, Yun…"
*Tear*
As soon as the guard activated the seal, a smacking sound echoed out of it, followed by a moan. Before anything else could happen, the guard tore the piece of paper apart.
"*Cough* Guess I should have used the text message one and not the voice message one?"
"At least you didn't use the one with video transmission, you know."
"Wouldn't she have blocked that!?"
"…"
"Sorry, that was a stupid question, you know. Of course, she wouldn't."
Meanwhile, Sasuke had no clue what had just happened.
'After he put chakra into the seal, a smacking sound and a moan came out of it. That seal must connect to Yuna somehow. Is she fighting someone?'
Seeing that Sasuke apparently didn't understand the situation, the two guards gave him looks of pity before the one that previously activated the seal took out another one and injected his chakra again.
"Sorry, I used the wrong seal. This one is the correct one."
Although the seal itself looked relatively simple, it allowed two people to send each other messages, which was usually not something that such a simple seal could handle. The reason it worked was that most of the work was actually done by the Uzumaki clan's barrier, which also meant that the seal wouldn't work outside the barrier.
The seal glowed for a moment, sending a message towards Yuna, and then stopped glowing. After a few seconds of waiting, the seal glowed again, which meant that it was receiving a message.
"Got it. Yuna-sama is currently err… entangled in something important, but she will be with you as soon as possible. Would you like to wait in a waiting room or try at a different time?"
"More like she has someone entangled, you know."
The first guard glared at his colleague, who only snickered in amusement. Sasuke pondered for a brief moment before making a decision.
"I will wait. I don't think she would leave me waiting for too long."
The two guards shared a doubt-filled look before shrugging their shoulders.
A few minutes later, one of the guards led Sasuke to a waiting room inside the building.
"Tea and snacks are already prepared. I recommend not opening any drawers since Naruto-sama likes bobby trapping the place."
Sasuke snorted in disdain when he heard that.
'As if a childish prank could trick me. Laughable.'
After the guard said that, he turned around and left, leaving Sasuke alone in the waiting room. Usually, someone would be assigned to watch over a guest, but with the Uzumaki clan barrier blocking off the important places, there was minimal purpose in doing so.
So, Sasuke sat down on a comfortable couch, poured himself some tea, and started waiting with an annoyed expression on his face.
"Guess she will be here any minute."
*One hour Later*
Sasuke's face was currently twitching in irritation. He considered breaking down a wall or two but then decided against it. After all, he was the one that wanted something from Yuna.
"Damnit, is she mocking me? Surely she will be here soon."
*Another hour later*
"SH*T, F*CK, GODF*CKINGDAMNIT!!! I WILL DEFINITELY KILL THAT PIECE OF SH*T!!!"
Sasuke was currently cursing up a storm as he angrily used a bunch of napkins to wipe pie pieces out of his face.
"I WILL KILL BOTH OF THEM!!!"
*Another hour later*
The room door opened, allowing a slightly disheveled-looking Yuna to enter the room closely, followed by an even more disheveled-looking Karin, whose legs appeared to be somewhat unsteady.
As soon as Yuna entered the room, she couldn't help but be impressed by Sasuke. Somehow, he was brooding even harder than he usually did. If he didn't have Kakashi as his teacher, he would have very likely already exploded.
'Did he have a breakthrough or something?'

"Hahaha, sorry for the delay. I was busy fu… *cough* fighting mountains of important paperwork. Yes, very important paperwork."
