Chapter 496 CH 482: SO IS THIS INCEST?

496 CH 482: SO IS THIS INCEST?

Adam, with Natasha's hand in his, entered the restaurant without any hesitation. Pushing the door, he was able to see that the restaurant was indeed even more filled than he would have expected from the way the place actually was.

'This is interesting.'

In a way, this was actually his second time entering a restaurant with so many hunters gathered. The first time he did so was when he was walking around with Medusa and she was about to share the Gold mission with him.

'In a way, this is like fate.'

After all, tomorrow he was finally about to go on the mission that had been awaited for so long.

The moment the two of them entered, all eyes fell on them. This was normal, after all not every hunter could enter the main restaurant of this cook. It demanded a certain level of strength of connection that was not available for mediocre people.

'Those clothes.'

'Is it the Magician?'

'The Red Magician, you mean.'

'No way!'

People started murmuring as they recognized the uniform Adam was wearing. After all, he had already been a topic of interest when a Gold rank hunter appeared out of nowhere for no apparent reason.

People had been curious and hesitant. The only reason they did not cry at fraud was that the association never did such a thing and even if it was a fraud, if someone was ranked high enough that they could force the Association to cover them then this wasn't the kind of person they wanted to mess around with.

All those doubts vanished when the achievements of the man were documented recently.

Participating firstly, in the Asmodeus fiasco, then getting a ticket to the mission in France thanks to the baking of Piaget Freud. Finally — Stopping the new calamity event.

This was a Palmares that was enough to make even a veteran hunter blush in shame. After all, the vast majority of hunters alive today never met a Calamity event. Those who did were, 8/10 dead. 1/10 crazy and finally only a small percentage succeeded while keeping their sanity and their body function.

Meanwhile, the young man in front of them did not seem to have even the slightest wound or cicatrices.

This could only mean two things.

Either the man was a liar who relied on others to fight his battle and thus never got wounded or the man was so overwhelmingly strong that he received no wound.

"Hah! My guest of honor is here."

Ahmadou's words as he walked out of his kitchen caused no small uproar. After all, this had only happened when people at the level of Executor or director came to visit him.

Adam smiled softly as he exchanged a manly handshake with the old man, Ahmadou Traore.

"Thanks for inviting me again."

"Do not worry. Heroes should be rewarded. This old man can do nothing but invite you to my humble restaurant."

"Your restaurant may be humble in appearance but it's far superior to anything I tried. Even my charming friend wants to try again."

Natasha became a little tense when Ahamdou looked at her. Others may be ignorant but it was impossible for an old man like him at his rank and influence to not know the ins and outs of the situation or at the very least, know what was reported to the association.

Trying to be courageous didn't matter if the owner himself chased them away from his restaurant.

Thankfully, Ahmadou simply gave a smile at her after contemplating for a bit, "What you are doing takes courage. I wish you a happy birthday young lass."

It seemed like he wasn't the only one to have noticed Natasha. A few were confused at first as they were focused on the red magician but soon, they started to growl.

"Hey…!"

Ahmadou didn't have much to say, "Just know that this place is a neutral ground. Those who act will be forever banned."

"...."

The words seemed to be strangled in the mouth of the one who stood up while his friends tried to make him sit back down.

The atmosphere immediately became a little chilly. But in the end, there was nothing they could do but glare.

"Do you see their hypocrisy?"

Adam muttered in Natasha's ears without trying to block the sound at all, knowing full well such a mutter would basically be heard by everyone.

"They try to act as if they are outraged or if they are watching something filthy. But don't you think it's funny? If they were really so heroic…They should disregard the risk of being banned to smite you, right?"

He chuckled, ignored the gazes stabbing at them like a dagger,

"Remember this carefully. As my mother says. Those people are not heroes. They are hunters. They do not move based on something as abstract as justice and morality. Only benefits and just now, they decided that attacking you was not worth it."

He sneered, "Do you really want to hide because of spineless people like them?"

"No."

"Then, hold your head high Natasha. It's your birthday after all. Let's go eat something good."

All this while Ahmadou simply keeps a smile.A smile that was progressively growing wider.

If before he accepted Adam because of the referential and his debts to Yui and her gangs, he invited him this time because of his act of heroism.

As he said, hunters only acted based on pros and cons. There was nothing wrong with that. What was wrong was when those mercenaries tried to act like they had the moral high ground.

Thanks to this damn speech, Adam was rapidly becoming someone he appreciated.

He was going to stuff his new invitees with the best cakes and best quality food he could create.

Thankfully, the cake was already ready.

.

.

.

A few minutes later, as the two simply ignored the gaze while enjoying each other's presence, Adam quietly sang happy birthday to Natasha and they began cutting the cake Ahamdou sent.

It was a vanilla cake with some chocolate at the border and her name written with small golden candies.

It was beautiful and it was even more delicious.

The first time she took a bite, she could literally hear Hugr moaning and rolling in her mind as if she was reaching nirvana.

Clearly, there was nothing better.

"So Natasha…I think we need to talk."

This time, Adam did put a barrier. He also made sure to add a layer of illusion so that no one could see their lips moving.

"Are we already having the talk a few days after starting a relationship?"

"Do not worry. This is not this kind of talk. It's something different."

He sighed and asked, "How much did you know, now?"

"Are you talking about the last identity you promised to share one day with me?"

Adam nodded and waited for Natasha. He did not need to push her. He already knew that she should have a faint recollection of everything that happened.

Hiding things anymore was useless.

"Then…I guess I know everything."

Adam was a little tense. This time he didn't have a dream world to soften the blow. He wondered what Natasha would say.

"I only have one question."

"Go on."

"So technically….You are my uncle, right? Or ancestor uncle? So is our relationship, incest?"

Natasha smiled mischievously as she asked.

"Well…"

This was not what he expected.
