What was the Phantasm Realm in essence? A question that has been asked for eons…
This was the world born from the imagination, skills, and heart of the creator and the wielder who had reached the realm where they could manifest their ideals into reality.
It was the representation of their inner mind and innermost being.
Takoda was 60 years old as of now and despite the long years of his existence, he was still considered a young adult in the Werewolf community.
This did not change the fact that he was nothing more than a failure who did not manage to reach the S rank despite having a father who was the Alpha of their pack and the leader of their clan.
His talent, or lack thereof, was clear for all the elders to witness and observe.
This was why, even after becoming an Alpha, no one expected much from him, and if he had to be honest— Takoda did not expect much from himself as well.
Was it perhaps the reason why?
When he managed to actually open the Gate of Truth, the most surprised was none other than he himself.
His joy though turned into bitterness and then acceptance when he realized what the nature of the gate was.

[Crime and Punishment]
This was a Phantasm Realm born from his guilt, his torn heart, his indecisions, and his regrets.
Generally, the stronger the restrictions of a realm were, the stronger the effects would be. This was a universal rule that applied to all Phantasm Realms. It was more akin to a law of existence.
But even then, realm owners would always make sure the effects of their realm didn't apply to them. This was because if they were under the effects of their own Realm then there was no reason to even use it, right?
For example, a fire user would not be able to feel the heat of his own domain. Or rather, the heat of his own domain would not be willing to affect him.
But Takoda was different in this aspect.
In the same image of a bastard who betrayed his loved one, his gate could turn even against himself. It was fit to say that the gate mirrored him quite well. His truth, his final weapon, his most inner self… in the end, betrayed him as he had betrayed his own flesh and blood.
His domain applied both to himself and everyone else in the most impartial way and exactly because he was not exempt from the effects of this domain it became that much more powerful. It was the so-called ultimate domain.
The effects were rather simple. Everything was in the name after all.
His gate had three steps.
One — Judge the number of crimes of each individual inside the realm.
Two — Analyze the degree of guilt one should feel for the crimes. But also the weight of the sin they committed based on his own judgment.
Once those three conditions were reunited, the total weight of each crime would be calculated and then the effects would immediately apply.

The greater the weight of the sin, the more powerful the debuff would be. The more burdened the person influenced by the domain would become.
Losing speed, strength, durability, or even the use of skills would become far more complicated until one would be completely frozen in both body and mind.
The more sins you have committed the greater your punishment would be. Slowly weakening one to near oblivion and extinguishing their existence under the burden of their very own sins.

Takoda grunted. He immediately understood that he was taking the effects of his own skills.
A grim reaper holding a long chain in one hand and a balance in another appeared in the air in the part that was represented by Takoda's domain

The judgment was nigh immediate. The balance tilted and the verdict was clear.

Chains flew at near-instantaneous speed and bound him from head to toe, but he only laughed. This was the most ambiguous and hypocritical part of his realm.
Since Takoda saw himself as the greatest sinner, he would always receive the highest punishment which was the sealing of all of his powers.
But this brought a paradox. An oxymoron that just couldn't be made sense of no matter how one thought of it. The nature of a true paradox.
This realm was HIS power.
If so then, how could the realm bring judgment if it sealed itself?
This created a paradox close to the Paradox of Omnipotence. The oldest paradox in existence. [1]

He sighed as the light of judgment immediately shone on the other three.
As they usually said, it may have taken long to describe, but everything happened in less than the blink of an eye.

The chain flew toward Adam, but the very moment they touched him, they started to break down as if they had been corroded by some unknown phenomenon.

Total silence was all that reigned in the realm.

Fenrir, with its awakening, had caused many accidents and though it didn't know exactly, undoubtedly many deaths.
Adam had his hand drenched in blood. In terms of pure ratio, he had been on a massacre spree ever since he obtained his power.
As for Lycaon… was there anything else to say?
In the end… None of the people present were deemed guilty.
Takoda meanwhile wished for nothing more than death at this very moment.
If he still had hands, he would be using them to cover his face to hide himself from all the shame he was currently feeling.
"Pfft! Hahaha! Judge us? It seems like you are still not worthy."
Lycaon had never laughed so much in his life but in reality he also understory that this was only because of how immature the realm still was.
In this world, who could say with certainty that they have never sinned nor hurt anyone?
This was a very dangerous power with great potential.
"Remove kid. Punishment made by the law can only be executed When the Coercive force is high enough. Without enough strength, Morality and legality are nothing but bullshit."
He grinned and looked back at Adam, "So now little brother. What are you gonna do? It seems like your trump card failed."

Adam chuckled.
"Takoda…"
Takoda looked up, he was ready to see disappointment once again in the eyes. But he was surprised to see nothing but joy.
"Thanks for giving me enough time."

Adam needed to fight Lycaon to keep him occupied. He also needed to use the chance to grow stronger.
At the same time — He needed to save Natasha.
Who said that he could not do everything at the same time?
Why did he have to constraints himself?
Adam remembered the thing he once said in jest to Eve when they first meet.
"Choices are for children."

Even if it was greedy. Even if it could be seen as reckless.
