Adam was now totally alone in the vast fields that signified this world that he found himself inside of.
From a bird's eye view, he had the distinct feeling that he had been looking at a giant chessboard with black and white squares sprawled about in irregular shapes.
However, now that he had landed on the ground, the feeling of looking at a gigantic chessboard and the feeling of artificial production faded completely.
The ground beneath his feet felt all too real, not something hard and fake as he had perceived this place to be. And this was weird and intriguing leading Adam to a dangerous hypothesis…
'I guess each square in the board is like a different zone with a different set of rules.'
If that were to be the case for real, then things were about to get really complicated and convoluted for him.
Adam tried to scan his whole environment as he was used to doing using his domain based powers. After all, he had a vast field of over a kilometer before him and the fastest way of knowing what he was up against was to absorb all the information related to this zone with his powers.
But…
'Ah… I don't have 'The World' right now.'
It was a very upsetting thing for him. Adam realized now how dependent he had become on this particular skill of his. It was his first and most treasured skill, after all. The level of versatility this one skill of origin gave him was simply too much for him to not get dependent on it.
He remembered that his earliest training was all about utilizing the power of 'The World' and increasing his familiarity and efficiency in using all aspects of this power.
'Sigh. Anyways, let's focus on what's ahead.'
He breathed hard and tried to circulate the energy inside of his soul form.
'So this is the Dream Force, huh?'
He could feel a slow trickle of energy gradually filling his body through his Crown Chakra.
'No… Not exactly.'
It seemed to be a point that was slightly above the Crown Chakra. An illusory point that was not opened yet but Adam felt like if he just gathered enough Dream Force, he would be able to open and utilize this point just like his other major chakra points.
The identity of this chakra path was— The Soul Star Chakra… It was in the outer path and wasn't a part of his body…
'I see…'
Indeed. He understood now why the Dreamscape was the goal of all Dreamwalkers. Training in this place would help one grow the power of the Soul and even give them the chance of opening The Soul Star Chakra.
It was hard to truly quantify just how enticing such an advantage was.
However, the accumulation that would lead to the breakthrough of this point felt painfully slow.
It was clear that just gathering Dream Force itself through training alone would necessitate an exorbitant amount of time in opening the Chakra pathway.
This was clearly one of the reasons why massacres were considered to be a more appreciated means of growth.
Thankfully, while it wasn't enough to bring him growth, it was enough to replenish the energy he had used until now.
Now that he made sure about all those basic points, Adam started thinking about the tasks and goals he needed to accomplish from now on, having come to this place.
This place was a training ground and a chance bestowed to him by his family— Eve.
From the words she left in the end, he didn't have to worry about death itself, just like how he didn't need to worry about it in the real world. Moreover, the pawn piece he was now holding in his hands felt like an anchor that would lead him to this place.
He gripped his hand around it and the piece slowly entered inside his soul body, giving him a feeling of warmth and satisfaction.
All the Dreamforce that had been flowing lazily in his body gathered in the piece that had now taken root inside the core of his soul body.
Information filled Adam's mind and he understood that this piece was like an embryo form of The Soul Star Chakra.
Only after it reached a certain level would it bloom into the complete Chakra pathway of the soul, making Dreams into reality and illusions into the nature of existence.
'Thank you.'
He didn't know just what kind of price Eve had to pay to give him this unprecedented opportunity.
He didn't really understand what her final goal was in doing all this for him.
However, he didn't mind. Not when it came to her. He just had to walk his way as always.
'Water.'
He moved his mind to summon water and fire appeared into his hand. It was a simple flame and unlike the flame he created on earth, these ethereal flames did not hurt him in the slightest— clearly showing just how much they differed from reality.
'Earth, wind, water.'
He played around with the different elements of nature while keeping in mind that he needed to think of the opposites while summoning them and vice versa for the opposite elements.
This rule was most likely set in place so that he would make a mistake in the most crucial moment of his time here.
'Shield.'
A sword appeared in his hand.
'Spear.'
A shield appeared.
Adam frowned before nodding. Rather than the direct opposite, it seemed more like what was happening was that the Mirror world would create an opposite to what he had in mind when bringing forth the Dream Force.
"Well… Now, should I start moving?"
He stretched his body ever so slightly before doing some light exercises like squats, push-ups, and even some imaginary pull ups.
He did not have 'The World' with him in this realm and even though he had three minds, Adam didn't think that he could reliably think of the opposites of everything while fighting others. Especially, someone dangerous and more powerful than him.
Waving his hands, a pack of cards appeared above.
It was a pack of Tarot cards.
'Well. This might really work.'
He looked at the cards. Currently, they signified nothing special. They were just a simple deck of cards that he had summoned and created through the power of Dreams.
However, if his plan were to work out successfully then…
"Well. They say nothing better than experimenting on the field, right?
He leaked out a dry laugh at his own cheesy statement…
As a kid, he had always dreamed of having his own share of adventures and the sort.
He wouldn't have imagined even in his wildest dreams that he would find himself adventuring in the land of Dreams itself.
"This is going to be fun, right?"
"Obviously. This is a world based on 'Wonderland' and 'Through the Looking Glass'. We have nothing to fear here."
"Well… Let's go then."
It was going to be a very interesting adventure for him, he thought with excitement.
At least that was what he initially believed in his mind.
But…
….A few minutes later….
"Nope! Nope! Nope! Nope!"
Adam could be seen running furiously to hold onto his life while being chased by tentacles and teddy bears that held chainsaws and guns in their fluffy hands.
