1927 Mork Temple

In the heartland of the Enkama Empire, Sadevich, the Army Commander of the Holy Court, led his troops into a recently conquered small city to take a brief rest.

The number of reinforcements available to them was dwindling rapidly.

This was an abnormal situation.

Just as he was about to summon players to inquire, two players approached, seeking a visit.

Sadevich waved his hand to signal for his men to bring them up. He looked at the two players and asked, “What’s happening on the Jones Kingdom side?”

The player felt a little uneasy, and his expression turned solemn. He nodded and replied, “Army Commander Sadevich, the Jones Kingdom is under attack by the undead. The teleportation point is besieged, preventing the Holy Court reinforcements from entering the Enkama Empire.”

“We’ve lost contact with the Jones Kingdom for over two hours. Recently, a teleportation passage also lost its stable connection.”

“Is it Fang Heng?” Sadevich inquired with a furrowed brow.

“While it’s not confirmed yet, there’s a high probability that it is him.”

“Fang Heng…” Sadevich murmured to himself, repeating the name.

If Fang Heng had merely disrupted their supply lines before, it might have been manageable.

But now, with the Holy Court being on high alert, they couldn’t confront Fang Heng head-on?

Even the military fortress of Jones Kingdom was under severe threat!

Fang Heng’s strength was not to be underestimated.

Sadevich hesitated for a moment and even wondered if he should immediately return to the teleportation passage to reinforce the Jones Kingdom. However, he swiftly dismissed the idea.

Returning now would be too late, and he had more crucial tasks at hand.

With Miles’s team yet to arrive, it would significantly impact his next mission.

“Alright, let’s set that aside for now. What are the latest instructions from the Holy Court?” Sadevich asked, looking up at the player.

“There are none. The Holy Court has given you the freedom to act as you see fit.”

“Very well. Inform the Holy Court that I’ve understood,” Sadevich said, waving his hand as if to dismiss the players. But suddenly, his expression grew solemn, and he gazed upward.

In the dark sky covered with ominous clouds, something seemed to be flying by.

Sadevich quickly drew his sword, pointing it towards a specific spot in the sky.

“Whoosh!”

A dark golden energy light beam shot out from the tip of his longsword, streaking towards the heavens.

The light beam narrowly missed a flying creature in the air.

A missed opportunity.

The distance was too great, and Sadevich wasn’t proficient in long-range attacks.

The small creature seemed to be frightened and quickly left.

Sadevich wore a serious expression as he inquired, “Are there vampires in this world?”

“Huh?” The player, upon hearing Sadevich’s question, was momentarily confused, not understanding his intent.

Sadevich repeated, “I’m asking you, are there creatures like vampires in the game world of Ciboreya?”

The player shook his head vigorously. “No, I’ve never heard of that.”

“Fang Heng…” Sadevich gazed into the sky, a trace of wariness flickering in his eyes. “Inform the Holy Court that Fang Heng has arrived. Likely, the Jones Kingdom has already fallen. I’ll initiate the operation ahead of schedule.”

The player swallowed nervously. Even he knew that Fang Heng, the World Lord, was formidable. However, the fact that a single player could instill such fear in the Holy Court was beyond his expectations.

“Go quickly!”

“Yes!” The player hurriedly departed, going offline to deliver the message.

Sadevich gazed up at the sky again. This was troublesome. Vampires had a significant advantage in reconnaissance.

If the vampires joined the battlefield, their movements would be completely exposed.

It would be problematic if they uncovered the temple. The mission was on the verge of failure. There was no time to waste. He needed to undertake the mission immediately.

He hoped that the preceding events would deceive the Enkama Empire and the undead.

Twenty minutes later, after temporarily clearing the Flood Dragon Race’s territory, Fang Heng left Prince Carl in charge of refining the blood pool with the vampires. He transformed into a bat and swiftly returned to the military fortress.

“Your Majesty!”

“Yes.” Fang Heng nodded, signaling for Prince Maica to rise.

Fang Heng scrutinized the location on the map that Maica had indicated, furrowing his brow.

The position of the large Holy Court team was still quite a distance from the Mork Temple.

Could it be that the Holy Court’s objective wasn’t the Mork Temple?

Judging by their movements, it seemed they were more interested in the main city of the Enkama Empire.

Did they intend to directly confront the Enkama Empire’s King?

Had Fang Heng’s previous speculations about the Mork Temple been entirely wrong?

After contemplating for a moment, Fang Heng extended his hand, pointing to the location of the Mork Temple on the map. He inquired, “And what about here? Have they uncovered the Holy Court teams?”

“No, but there are two Holy Court teams patrolling within a five-kilometer radius,” Maica replied.

Fang Heng found the situation even more perplexing.

“Additionally, Your Majesty, during our tracking, a member of the vampires was assaulted by the Holy Court. We’ve been detected, and the Holy Court now knows of our presence in this world. They might be on high alert,” Maica added.

“Alright, I understood,” Fang Heng responded, mentally prepared for such a scenario.

The Holy Court’s perception ability to sense the vampires wasn’t weak, so their discovery was within expectations. However, now that they were exposed, Fang Heng had to expedite his actions.

In any case, he needed to reach the Mork Temple promptly.

“I will go to the Holy Court for reinforcement. You stay here and command the vampires. Await my orders,” Fang Heng instructed Maica.

“Yes, Your Majesty!”

Without further delay, Fang Heng manipulated a group of zombie clones, transforming them into Lickers as they hastened toward the Mork Temple. Simultaneously, he assumed bat form and accelerated towards the same destination.

An hour later, Fang Heng arrived above the Mork Temple.

A game hint popped up.

[Hint: The player has entered a special area. In this area, participants are unable to log in or log out. The player’s survival radio and other communications are unusable…]

It seemed that there was something peculiar about the Mork Temple.

Fang Heng gazed down from the sky.

At least for now, the Mork Temple was not occupied by the Holy Court.

The entire Mork Temple was located in the hinterland of the Enkama Empire and was protected by the Enkama Empire. At this moment, there were still guards outside the door.

Fang Heng descended from the sky and returned to his human form. He walked toward the entrance of the Mork Temple.
