Chapter 257 257: The Horde Nears - Pregnant Princess
Alexander awoke to the sound of the sheets moving, Stella's sleepy eyes watching him as her fingers stroked along his cheek, brushing through his silver hair with a gentle smile when she noticed he was awake.
"Morning, Darling, I have the most wonderful news."
Sunlight gently leaked through the thin gaps between the blinds, adding heat and light to the cosy room of the princess as she leaned back and revealed her abdomen.
Two glowing purple ovaries on her womb tattoo were a global sign for all succubi that the owner was pregnant normally—only one would glow, so she was carrying twins.
'Stella...' Alex looked at her stomach, his hand reaching out, stroking along her stomach as he felt two weeks... but small signs of life barely detectable, but he felt it. Inside her womb were two children, his children.
He was a little confused as Ghouls were supposed to find it difficult to have children, according to his memories and the research done so far... Alex was over the moon as he hugged her tightly.

Two hours later, they were sitting in the waiting room as Claudia arranged the defensive plan for the incoming horde that would soon be at their door. Thanks to Alexander offering his help, she began spreading the vesta and their different groups across the walls to different units to help the thin parts of the defence.

Leaving the room, Elanor and Claudia came into the waiting room, only to notice the strange atmosphere of the pair.
"Elanor, you arrange some refreshments while I speak with them, okay?"
"Yes, My Queen." Her eyes were watching Alexander as she walked past; his eyes also locked onto her alluring purple body, which seemed to move more sensually the moment she felt his eyes on her.
Claudia waited for the door to close before tapping Alexander on the head, "No lustful glances at other succubi—Stella might stab you." Her playful voice sounded as Stella just shook her head with a giggle, sitting on the sofa beside her mother's large chair; with a serious look, the mother and daughter watched each other.

"You're pregnant... so soon?" Claudia noticed almost immediately, then looked at the marking and smiled gently when Stella showed the two dots, "Twins... I am going to be a grandmother for the first time?"
Alexander watched as Claudia reached forward to hug Stella tightly while her eyes trembled gently, "Congratulations—both of you." Her tone carried weight to it as Alexander guessed why it was special—succubi rarely have multiple children due to their nature of absorbing energy during sex; the sperm normally get devoured.
Clapping to get everyone's attention, Claudia gave Alexander a stern glance. "Now, the real reason you are both here. Stella, since he has made you carry his children, I plan to step down as Queen and have you and Alexander replace me as husband and wife. I want to know your opinion on this; most of the succubus knights and people know already and were waiting for your arrival."
Stella stared at Claudia before hugging Alexander tightly, her red eyes watering and leaking small droplets onto his arm. "Mother, Thank you...." She could only choke out words before breaking down, the emotions within her heart-stirring her as the sense of accomplishment filled her body, having lost confidence because of the curse she used to suffer, the one Alexander freed her from.
Claudia turned to Alexander, who listened quietly, his arms now comforting the upset Stella with a gentle smile as he helped her relax.
Alexander looked Claudia in the eye, nodding gently, "If Stella agrees, then I agree as well. However, I currently have many women I love just as much as her and would hope to marry them, too. Even if it's in the future after we take over and weather the coming storm."
Raising an eyebrow, Claudia listened with interest while Elanor entered the room with a small cart holding teas, handing a cup to Claudia while checking out Alexander again—causing Stella to pout in annoyance, covering Alexander's eyes as Elandor bent over, showing her ass to him, which only made Elanor smile seductively before Claudia snapped her fingers at Elanor, making her sit politely on her cushion beside Claudia's chair.
Claudia sipped the tea, smiling gently at Stella's reaction before raising her eyebrows at Alexander's request, "Is that so? Who exactly do you plan to marry?"
'I do not need to lie, but there are girls who take priority.' Alexander nodded to himself before he opened his mouth, gently stroking the back of Stella's hand while looking confident.
"Sarah of the Lycan tribe, Amy Salvatore of the Vampire Nobles, Laura of the elven tribes, Himari the blue oni and her sister Ayami the red oni and Claire the minotaur. The first group will be these women, along with Stella, of the succubi."
"Oh... that's quite the list..." Claudia smirked before he shrugged, "There are farm more, Brunhild, Elanor and yourself, for example."
Elanor coughed, her drink splashing her chest as she looked genuinely shocked, while Claudia glanced at Stella, who blushed softly, gently hitting Alexander while agreeing, "I wouldn't mind marrying you earlier than planned and mother.... haaa...." Stella couldn't continue, turning her head away from Claudia, who saw right through her daughter's hidden motives.
"Heh, Mother knows best—now, you need to understand once you leave this room, everything will start to change. Once the announcement is made official, it will be hard for you to leave, and one of you must always be present in the castle." Claudia poked fun at Stella, whose face grew more crimson, hiding behind Alexander, as Claudia chuckled softly.
Getting serious, Claudia finished her tea, getting up and waving Alexander over, "Let's take care of a few things now that Stella will eventually replace me—you might as well come."
Stella nudged Alexander to follow her mother, grabbing his free arm and walking beside him toward Claudia, who glanced back, "Elanor, prepare some food for us—my treat for our new King and Queen of Succubus hall, invite their friends and the highest ranked succubi of the kingdom."
Alexander looked confused but realised why Claudia was calling him King since Stella would succeed her title and become the Queen—he followed them to a huge room where Elanor quickly rushed off to gather others while Claudia motioned to Alexander and Stella.
"This way... It won't take long, so wait a second, Dear. By the way, congratulations—I am proud of you, Stella."
Her motherly face faded as she sat Stella on the Queen's seat and Alexander on the King's seat; the room was elegant, with a huge table wrapping the room with countless chairs surrounding it. Upon closer inspection, Alexander realised hundreds of seats surrounded the table as Claudia motioned for the guards to open the doors.
Instantly, the door was flooded by succubi, standing around the large table before noticing Stella and Alexander falling silent; they waited as Claudia stepped forth to talk; within moments, everyone kneeled with their heads bowed, "Greetings, esteemed guests, you are invited to our informal succession meal and the announcement of our new Queen and our First King. The man who cured the curse of our beloved daughter, Stella!"
The moment Claudia's voice faded, all of the noble succubi and the knights were stunned, knowing it was coming, but the feelings that began to surge in their hearts were too extreme. Stella stood, raising her hand as they all rose, standing straight as Stella's confident tone entered their ears, "It has been decided as Mother has stated—I shall succeed as the queen while Alexander will support and protect us as King. He holds the rights as my husband and king."
Cheers echoed throughout the huge dining area as Claudia approached Alexander; her hand moved swiftly as Stella blocked her mother with a raised palm, "I told you... no."
Alexander glanced between the duo, unsure what Stella meant, as Claudia smiled gently with a shrug, "Sorry dear—the old tradition says we must welcome the King, so you can't deny it." Eleanor and many succubi grasped Alexander's hand, pulling him gently towards a side room, with Claudia following, her sensual body seeming to become hundreds of years younger as the black, steel door slammed shut, leaving Stella looking on in shock.
