44 Chapter 44: Finally Leaving The Long Clan!
"What's the hurry, boy? You didn't even greet me. After all, I am your in-law," A man came forward and spoke as his words echoed in the room, causing a tension to suspend in the air. The words of the man were laced with authority and power. It seemed he demanded Long Tian to pay respect to him.
Noah turned to face a man with similar age as that of the head of the Long Family. Although Noah had noticed his presence before in the room he decided to ignore it as he did not immediately recognize him.
Now that the person had taken an initiative to deliver himself on a chopping board, how can Noah not use his blade.
"Oh! My bad, I thought that you were the in-laws of Lin Feng," Noah spoke in a mock apologetic manner, he even showed formal courtesy. "And you, Xiao Cheng, you want to break the engagement, right? You should have said so from the beginning. No need to use such tricks, as your pitiful brain cannot think of good ones."
Indeed the goal of Xiao Cheng coming there was to break the marriage contract between Long Tian and Xiao Mei but things didn't go as he wanted them to.

Now that the name of the Long family was associated with the Xiao family they would also face some consequences. Thinking of this his face grew darker.
"Maid, take away this useless son of mine back to his room." he exclaimed, turning to look at the maid which escorted the mother son duo there.
The maid quickly rushed to Long Tai's side, helping him up and supporting him as they left the hall. Long Tai's face was pale, and his body trembled from the embarrassment and the physical pain of being kicked.
The head of the Xiao family also left without saying any words, he did not have any face left to show anyone. As he walked out of the room his eyes showed in cold and dangerous light.
'I will not let this slide.'
Long Chen walked back to his seat and looked at the open door of the room, he could not shake the feeling that a storm would arrive shaking the entire kingdom.
