Chapter 458 Take It Away

458 Take It Away

At the same time that Abaddon was informing certain members of his family about the good news, the wives were back at home doing the same.

Erica stood out proudly in front of the wives as she showed the new rock on her hand to her new family.

Mira: "Wow…"

Sabine: "She really wore him down, huh..?"

Jasmine: "Even when I heard it from my sister, I didn't want to believe it…"

Straga: "Rock!"

A vein began to bulge in Erica's head that unhealthily red.

What was with all of these boring reactions?!

Couldn't someone atleast pretend to be excited for her??

It wasn't like she got married everyday, you know?

The only one who seemed to be even moderately happy about this development was baby Straga, who now looked to have grown to around three years old.

He still had a small bit of baby fat stored on him, but his abs remained in perfect condition and on display for the world.

The young boy waddled up to Erica giggling adorably and holding up both hands as he reached for the rock on her finger.

Erica looked like she was rather afraid to pick up the precious young boy for fear of making some mistake.

Caelum used to be this cute at one point in his life too. (A lie. Straga is the cutest of all.)

But now… he was a twisted and unrecognizable man who she felt responsible for creating.

Maybe it was because she had killed his father, or maybe it was just a result of the father she had chosen for him in the first place.

Or perhaps it was how she grew distant from Caelum as he started to get older and more closely resembled that man.

She would never be 100 percent certain of the true answer.

And because she would never know if the problem lie with her, she would be wary of touching certain parts of Abaddon's life.

After all, she saw her husband as something perfect and unblemished whom she also wanted to be perfect for.

She didn't want to come into his life and start breaking things.

While brewing in a silent storm of negativity, Erica felt a small pinch on her butt.

After spending so much time in her disconnected bedroom, she could recognize the touch of each one of her partners by their hands alone.

'L-Lisa?'

'Don't be so worried, Erica. Straga is your son too now, so you need to form a good relationship with him without letting yourself be bogged down by ghosts from the past.'

Lisa took the liberty of lifting up the small boy and handing him over to Erica without allowing her to refuse.

'Don't be worried about being perfect or always doing the right thing. For now, all you have to do is love him. The rest will take care of itself.'

Against all odds, Erica found herself getting just a tiny bit emotional.

Somehow, she already felt a connection with the young boy despite this being their first meeting.

She could feel her own blood coursing through this child's body; melded together with Abaddon's, Valerie's, and the rest of the wives.

This really was her baby too...

"H-Hello little one... I guess I'm your mom now, huh?"

"Ma!" Straga put Erica's ring in his mouth so that he could scratch the part of his brain that was telling him to do so.

The phoenix looked like she was on the verge of outright sobbing, when the doors to the dining room finally opened and Gabbrielle came inside.

"Apologies for my tardiness, the pets wanted to play fetch with my book, so I had...to.." The pupils of the third daughter trembled as she stared at all ten of her mothers.

They were older, but they weren't.

It was as if time had passed over their bodies somehow and ignored them while they simply kept on thriving, but that should have in no way been possible.

Unless…

"Mothers… where have you been?"

At her question, her mothers blushed and looked away indirectly.

Tatiana: "Well…"

Bekka: "We spent some time with your father, dear."

Lailah: "I theorized a way to cut off the flow of time to a single space using your father's divinity and we were able to have quite the wonderful time together…"

Seras: "It was heavenly…and so very romantic."

"Indeed." They all agreed with a dreamy look in their eyes.

A vein bulged in Gabbrielle's head.

Really… thank the creator that her father was such a lover boy that he could think of no other use for that phenomenal amount of cosmic power other than showering her mothers with love and semen.

"May I ask how long were you guys in this special room exactly…?" Stheno asked with a raised hand.

At this, all of the girls blushed and scratched their cheeks in embarrassment.

""…You don't know, do you?"" The twins asked in unison.

"Y-Your father can make it very hard to think about things like numbers!" Bekka defended.

Even Lailah, the family's avid mathematician, could not help but to agree.

Gabbrielle also could not pinpoint how long her parents had been gone, but she surmised they must have been atleast a couple of years older spiritually.

"I.. need the room." She finally said.

Briefly, her siblings and in-laws looked at her in somewhat of a strange manner.

But upon seeing her cute face was more serious than normal, they relented and stepped outside to give her space to talk.

Each of Gabbrielle's mothers seemed to be a bit worried about their daughter, as she was continually clenching and unclenching her fists like she was trying to figure out what to say.

"I… need to ask you for a favor."

Worried more than the others, Seras touched her daughter's cheek tenderly and met her gaze.

"What's with all the cloak and dagger, darling? You know that there is nothing that you could need to be afraid to ask us for."

A miraculous tear fell from Gabbrielle's eye, as she felt like she was about to ask her mothers to cross a line.

"The… memory of how to isolate a space from the flow of time… I need you to go inside of father's mind and take it from him."

Needless to say, all of the wives were surprised.

But because they knew that Gabbrielle of all people does not make useless requests, they held in their refusal until they were given substantial reason for this request.

"Peach… why would you ask us to do something like that?" Audrina asked worriedly.

"I… have been keeping a secret from you all. Father is not a 'cosmic god'. He is something far more important and devastating called an Aeon. They are beings of inconceivable power who exist on a higher plane of existence entirely.

Asherah implanted something within him called a fabled spark when he ascended, remaking him on every fundamental level."

Lailah: "I don't understand. Why must this information be kept from him?"

"Aeon's self-actualize. The moment that he has full knowledge over his powers and learns that he is not the same kind of existence as us, he will become transcendent, and he will have to ascend to the higher plane, where we cannot follow."

Gabbrielle lowered her head out of equal parts shame and grief.

"I… have been teaching him as little as possible to belay that future for as long as possible, but he is already learning too much too fast.

If he uses this ability to have unlimited time at his disposal then he will grow at a rate that I cannot control, and he will be gone from our lives."

"Why? Why does he have to leave?!" Erica, like the rest of the wives, was on the verge of tears.

"Aeons are true, divine beings. Their bodies contain whole worlds, realities, galaxies, and alternate dimensions. They are their own everything.

We are already living inside of an aeon at right this moment, and one aeon will not tolerate the existence of another inside of them, as it will be seen as some sort of attempt to usurp.

The moment father learns exactly what he is, he will be effectively 'spit out'."

Lillian: "If I'm right the our aeon would be.."

"The creator, yes."

Valerie : "Well he's been around here before, right? Shouldn't he be in the higher plane?"

"We're inside of him, mother. He can establish a remenant of his identity to come and go as he pleases. Although the fact that he has remained at his fulcrum for so long is rather concerning."

Eris: "But if all of this is his doing, then why did he and our husband have that fight so long ago, and how was Abaddon able to wound him??"

"In the same manner that a human body can turn on itself and develop cancer, or a weapon smith can be killed by the gun he creates.

Evidently, the creator put so much power into father at first that he was able to wound him despite not being like him."

In a rare display of affection, Gabbrielle hugged her birth mother tightly, and squashed her face into her breasts.

"I don't know why Asherah gave father a spark.. and I do not care. The plane of the all mighty's is a perilous one, and I would prefer not to see father embroiled in it at all. You must keep him from fully realizing himself and creating mediae."

Tatiana: "Mediae?"

"The union of Aether and Nether. When the two opposing forces are fused together harmoniously, a new reality will be born. After that… it will be too late to go back."

Seras and the rest of the wives looked at each other with worried looks on their face.

After hearing everything, their daughter's plea to remove Abaddon's memory did not seem so blasphemous anymore.

Rather, it seemed like a necessity.

However, that didn't make the bad taste in their mouths go away.

Each of the girls had total and unrestricted access to their husband's mind and feelings, just as he did theirs.

They didn't want to take away a memory that could give him an edge, as they always wanted him to be the best version of himself that he could.

But if they didn't take away the memory, the chances of Abaddon using the power to grow even faster than he was now was almost a certainty.

Whether they liked it or not, there was no way to avoid this unfortunate turn of events.
