Chapter 427 The Destroyer Makes... A Friend?

Once the elevator door opened, the men all filed into a neat line and led Abaddon out into a small reception building.

As he walked along the corridor, he found a number of beings inside who were not simply vampires.

For the first time ever he saw a couple of witches, and even two werewolves.

'Hmm... I had thought they were supposed to be rarer.'

Exiting the facility, he arrived onto a moderately busy street with a great number of facilities and shops available.

Some were mundane, but there were other places like 'Magic "R" Us and a fight club where lots of money was being dished out.

As soon as he showed up, Abaddon immediately began to attract a lot of attention.

Unlike everyone here who was adorned in multiple layers of designer clothing, his human disguise was currently only wearing a simple outfit of sweatpants and a hoodie that was only halfway zipped up.

'You would actually dare..? I'll burn all of your eyes out of your skull-'

"Have you bastards lost your mind?! Vacate the streets, we have an elite guest here!"

"Move it or they'll be mopping you up off the sidewalk!"

"Make way! King's own orders!"

The supposed bodyguards cleared the way for Abaddon in an instant- even if it meant they had to shove others off the sidewalk to do so.

Almost on cue, a car pulled up in front of Abaddon and a man ran out to open the door and allow him inside.

Abaddon's driver was a somewhat short young man with a paler complexion that should have been very tan at one point.

His short black hair was neatly styled with an abundance of grease to keep it firmly in place and perfect.

At first glance, Abaddon thought him to be the weakest vampire he had met yet, but he realized that the young man did not qualify for that title.

Because he was a dhampir.

"P-Please, step inside." He said with clear nervousness, seemingly already aware of who Abaddon was.

"Hm.."

The dragon thought about it for only a moment before sighing and getting into the back seat of the car.

There was a reason he had avoided getting into them after all of this time.

And as soon as he became pressed into the backseat, he knew that he had been making the right choice.

'..It is so cramped.'

The dragon's knees were practically pressing into his chest, and he could already hear the sound of his wives' laughter echoing in his mind.

'I am going to spank all of you...'

All : 'Good!'

'...I mean, I am going to become a monk and abstain from carnal acts.

The Wives : 'No!'

"I-Is it too tight for you, sir..? I'm sorry about that, I probably should have selected a bigger vehicle..." the driver suddenly said.

"...It is fine." Abaddon condensed his bodies height and build so that he could fit more comfortably in the backseat, and the driver was summarily amazed.

"I-Incredible... I don't think I've ever seen anyone with such a high level of body control..!"

Abaddon gave his somewhat childish and young looking driver a droll and somewhat disbelieving look.

'Such a trick as this is impressive to you...? Even children in Sheol are capable of this sort of thing.'

Much to the dismay of dragon parents everywhere, one of the first tricks that newborn dragons learn to play is shrinking their size down and running between their parents toes to escape punishment.

Mira also sometimes uses the skill to hide in her sister Gabbrielle's hair since it is so cloud-like.

"O-Oh, umm is it your first time in one of these?" the driver asked. "I'm not sure how long you've been awake but they're called-"

"Awake? What are you talking about?"

The driver's face suddenly paled as if he was realizing he'd made a grave error.

"My apologies… The people around here.... they say that you have been asleep within the earth for several millennia.. that you were awakened from your rest because you were displeased with the actions of the gods and now wish to enact divine judgement upon th-"

"Heh... Hahahahahaha!!!"

For the first time, Abaddon's mood lifted within this underground domain and he laughed so powerfully that the entire car vibrated.

His driver Mateo had no idea if he had done the right thing or not by making the dragon laugh, so he chuckled nervously alongside him in a low voice.

"Hehehe.. hehehehe..."

Abaddon wiped a tear from his laugh as he leaned back into his seat.

"Boy, my story is a complicated one but I assure you of two things that I know to be true. I have in no way been sleeping under the earth for all of this time, but walking around in it. And I am much older than a few millennia."

"O-Oh, really..? Where were you wandering exactly?"

"America."

"R-Really?"

"Dragons cannot lie."

"Is that true?"

"No."

Mateo had begun to feel like maybe the dragon wasn't as scary as everyone else seemed to think.

He was smiling, laughing, and even making slight jokes.

'He doesn't seem all that scary..'

"So you spent some time in the U.S. huh? I bet this place reminds you a lot of home then."

"Yes... A little too much so." Abaddon's cheerful expression immediately broke and his eyes started to glow with hate as he looked out the window.

Immediately, Mateo broke out into a cold sweat.

'Never mind, pendejo! Never mind!'

Finally, the car pulled to a stop outside of an egregiously large mansion that bordered on reaching castle status.

Mateo rushed to open the door and let his guest out of the car, only to find that he had already stepped outside before he knew it.

He threw his muscular arm around the shoulders of the young driver and started walking along a cobblestone path towards the front gates.

"W-Wha?!"

"I've taken a liking to you, young man. I think you should come in with me."

"But I haven't been-"

"It's fine. If I say you are free to come along with me who would dare to tell me no?"

"Alright then... I will trust your guidance."

"Good man."

When Abaddon reached the black iron gates protecting the home, he smirked when he realized they were enchanted with 'magic'.

Lailah's reaction was no better, as he could hear his loving wife rolling around in the shadows as she laughed hard enough to make her lungs implode.

'It's like a fucking macaroni plate! Hahahaha!!'

'How cute.'?Abaddon thought with a smile.

Mateo suddenly pulled out a hand radio and prepared to speak into it. "Ah, hold on sir, I'll call them and tell them we-"

Abaddon grabbed the gate leisurely with one hand and yanked the entire structure off the hinges before chucking it over his shoulder like a plastic bottle.

"Exactly... how strong are you?" Mateo asked.

"Strong enough to blow apart the earth with a single punch."

"...So you bench like 10,000 pounds or...?"

"...Yes."

"Cool."

Abaddon chuckled lightly under his breath.

Mateo was a somewhat odd person, but he did not at all consider him to be unlikeable.

It had really been too long since he'd spent time around someone simple like this, and it was a rather nice change of pace if he were to be honest.

'Let's hope my new friend doesn't have a weak stomach.'

-

BOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!

The double mahogany doors to the home of the 'Vampire King' Raphael Magiano were kicked open dramatically and sent flying off the hinges.

The expensive doors were reduced to splinters in an instant and embedded themselves into the walls and the nearby vampires who'd been guarding the door.

Abaddon watched the two men fall to the ground lifelessly, causing his brows to raise themselves in surprise.

"The fuck's wrong with them?"

"Ah..." Mateo was trying to come to grips with seeing men die so easily, but it was somewhat difficult. "Well... you basically just staked them in the heart with wood, so... they're dead."

"..."

"...."

"You shittin me?"

Inside of Abaddon's shadow, Audrina and Seras were falling all over themselves with laughter, joining Lailah on the ground in her laughing fit.

They were hilariously imitating the way that the guards had died so easily without even managing to fight back once.

'They died from a fucking splinter! Hahaha!'

'I-I'm going to pee if you don't stop making me laugh!'

"Who dares to cause such a disturbance in my home!?!"

Abaddon glanced up at a balcony overlooking the foyer and saw an enraged man wearing a red suit with a black shirt underneath.

As far as vampires from earth go, he was fairly decent looking.

Strong, masculine features, a model-like skin quality, short wavy black hair and of course, the usual dull red eyes.

However, Abaddon found the woman next to him far more interesting.

Though she was far below his wives, she was prettier than everyone else in the room.

She had gorgeous, olive skin and long chocolate brown hair that fell all the way down her back.

Her swirling grey eyes were like the mist and had a somewhat hypnotizing effect; not dissimilar to Abaddon's tattoos, but at the same time possessing an entirely different function.

Her white dress was modest and did not overly reveal her figure, but she was so well endowed that it was difficult for her to hide anyway.

After all, she was a goddess.

Though exactly which one she was, he did not know.

Evidently she seemed to know him though, as her eyes went slightly wide when she saw who had just barged into this home.

"Y-You..."

"Me."

Finally, Abaddon's disguise literally caught fire and burned away to reveal him fully in his true appearance.

Red hair that fell all the way down to his ankles, a pair of red pants and simple sandals with a golden belt encircling his waist.

But what gave the greatest impression was the sleeveless black shirt he wore with the emblem of the sun being swallowed by black flame.

"I believe that you all have something that belongs to me. I'd like to have it now, please."

Once the Vampire King realized who exactly was responsible for kicking in his door, he swallowed all irritability and put on his best charismatic smile.

"Ah.. Mr. Abaddon, you've come! Welcome to the Necropolis, I am Raphael Magiano and-"

"This place is your design?" Abaddon suddenly asked.

"Yes, yes it is! It has taken many centuries and so much trial and error along the way but this is the best supernatural safe haven in the entire world!" Raphael said proudly.

"I see! Well in that case, there's one more thing I need you to fetch for me."

"Oh? What might that be?"

Abaddon showed a large, friendly smile that was filled with perfect white fangs.

"Your heart."
