Chapter 2708 Tower Canon’s Misunderstanding!
One of the figures was wearing a light green attire and wrapped out in a shawl with a faint tangerine tinge. Her light green hair hung just past her shoulders, and her delicate, gentle eyes glinted brightly.
She was wearing a headband over her forehead that had five faintly colored gems on it. The stones contained various types of energy. When one looked from the side, the five gems seemed to form a horn protruding from her forehead.
Next to her was a burly figure wearing light green leather and a unique dark green metal battle skirt. The battle skirt hung from his waist, but it did not make him seem feminine at all. Rather, it added a dashing air to his demeanor.
He was holding a folding fan covered with various orchid patterns. However, the orchids did not seem to be in a healthy state and were covered in holes from insect consumption.
When one took a closer look at this man wearing green armor, one would notice that there was a layer of insects clustered tightly together all over his armor. These were the same insects as the one on his folding fan that were consuming the orchids.
These two figures were Third Page Violet Light Green and Fourth Page Cavity Orchid.
Violet Light Green had undertaken an enormous risk by trying to liaise with Epoch God Palace on Tower Canon’s behalf. There was enmity between Tower Canon and Epoch God Palace.
But for the sake of her own profits, Violet Light Green had no other choice.
Now that the dead world’s roots had fused with this Class 2 world, there was no way out for Tower Canon.
Violet Light Green did not want to let things drag on like Second Page Warbler Candle and Fifth Page Falling Rainbow did.
First Page Crimson had been vying for the position of leader of their group.
It was true that Crimson had the strongest capabilities out of all of them.
However, he had yet to earn the trust of the others because he always recoiled at the first sign of trouble and was unwilling to step up to shoulder risk for the sake of the group. This caused his image as the leader to be a shaky one.
Violet Light Green had already steeled herself. But when she arrived at the Four Seasons Mountain’s foot and looked up at the towering mountain, she could not help but be gripped by fear.
In Tower Canon’s last clash against Epoch God Palace, they were all severely injured by a girl and a wave of her hand.
The girl had walked out of one of Epoch God Palace’s palaces. There were a total of four such palaces.
Tower Canon did not have the courage to act recklessly when they faced Epoch God Palace.
Violet Light Green could not figure out why Epoch God Palace had chosen to come to this Class 2 world. Could they have foreseen what was happening and had come with the intention of taking Tower Canon down?
Violet Light Green shook this thought out of her mind.
Cavity Orchid said solemnly, “Violet Light Green, you have already spoken. We won’t be able to avoid meeting the people from Epoch God Palace. It’s true that they are already on the move! Epoch God Palace’s doors are opening for the first time in all these years. We will only be able to carry out our plan if we understand what their plans are!”
Violet Light Green nodded.
Ideally, their objectives did not overlap with that of Epoch God Palace. If they did, the only possible result would be Tower Canon finding an alternative path.
Violet Light Green took two steps forward and tugged on Cavity Orchid’s sleeve.
“Cavity Orchid, of the eight of us, we are on the best terms. I used to encourage you to follow Crimson’s orders because we need a leader. But now, I am fully disappointed in Crimson!”
Cavity Orchid reached out and combed down Violet Light Green’s stray hairs before saying gently, “Violet Light Green, I’ve never had hopes for Crimson, so I can’t say that I’m disappointed in him.

Violet Light Green had not expected her casual venting to lead to a stream of grievances from Cavity Orchid.
Alas, what could they do? Ever since they fused the dead world’s roots with this Class 2 world, all their fates were henceforth bound to this Class 2 world.
If only they had not been so anxious, they could have returned to the Sky Beyond the Clouds with the dead world’s roots.
There was no need for Epoch God Palace to release the demon insects in order to stop the dead spirits disaster.
The treasure that Epoch God Palace held could separate ley lines. If Epoch God Palace wanted to put an end to the dead spirits crisis, they could extract this Class 2 world’s ley lines before purifying it. Even if they did not manually purify the ley lines, the ley lines would be able to purify themselves as long as they were not enveloped by death aura.
This meant that a third faction from the Sky Beyond the Clouds was present in this Class 2 world.
Optimistically, Epoch God Palace might not be taking action because of Tower Canon but this other faction.
The dead spirits crisis had been progressing for some time.
Epoch God Palace had not taken action at the beginning. They only started to make a move when the demon insects appeared.
At that moment, a powerful force pressed down on Violet Light Green and Cavity Orchid. A chilling voice echoed in their ears. “Tower Canon, the insects that crawled out from dirt. You have been hovering around Epoch God Palace for some time. Are you here to try and rob us again?”
Under the crushing pressure, Violet Light Green and Cavity Orchid only managed to hold on by releasing their own auras.
This gargantuan force was completely foreign to them. Clearly, it was not coming from the same expert who had injured them the last time.
But it was likely that the source of this force and the expert who had injured them last time had similar levels of power.
This expert had to be part of Epoch God Palace’s upper echelon!
It was as though Violet Light Green had not heard the mocking edge in Autumn’s tone and started to explain, “Tower Canon made a mistake all those years ago. We have learned our lesson. This time, we come with sincerity and would like to have a chat with Epoch God Palace. We hope that both sides will be able to work together to achieve a win-win situation!”
Cavity Orchid added, “That’s right. That incident came about from one of our members making a decision on their own. The rest of us have no intention of making an enemy out of Epoch God Palace!”
Autumn’s figure appeared directly above Violet Light Green and Cavity Orchid.
The pair of eyes that resembled that of a phoenix looked down at Violet Light Green and Cavity Orchid.
Autumn could not touch Violet Light Green and Cavity Orchid until he was certain about whether the two of them had ties to Lord Saint. He also wanted to chat with them to find out more information.
However, Autumn disliked what Cavity Orchid said about Tower Canon trying to rob Epoch God Palace because of the unauthorized decisions of one of its members. He also did not trust Cavity Orchid’s explanation.

Epoch God Palace had been waiting for Lord Saint’s awakening. Autumn had never been concerned with Tower Canon, the traitors from a Class 3 world.
Lord Saint’s awakening was not only related to this world that had recently been promoted to Class 2. Any factor could have contributed to his awakening.
In Autumn’s view, Tower Canon’s existence was an important factor in triggering Lord Saint’s awakening!
If Tower Canon had not tried to steal the Epoch Clock, Spring would not have lost control and stepped in.
Spring had been extremely self-reproachful because of this. She feared that injuring Tower Canon to the point of near death may have affected Lord Saint’s awakening.
Because he knew all of this, Cavity Orchid and Violet Light Green’s words were meaningless to Autumn.
“Why does Tower Canon want to work with us? We don’t care about this Class 2 world, so there shouldn’t be anything about our actions that is holding you back!”
Autumn’s voice was full of derision.
His revulsion of Tower Canon was not because they were weaker than him.
Power was not the yardstick of a lifeform’s worth. Even ants served their own purpose.
There were many ways to criticize Tower Canon’s existence.
They did not try to prevent their dead world from fusing with the Class 3 world because they wanted to protect their home but because they coveted the Class 3 world’s roots.
