2645 Lin Yuan’s Deadly Aura!

Lin Yuan always felt that even if a person did not know how to be sensitive to changing times, they should know not to cross the line.

The Vast Sea Labyrinth was doing a very good job now.

Initially, they compromised on their profits as a show of sincerity to the Radiance Federation. This allowed them to gain Lin Yuan’s wholehearted willingness to save them.

Otherwise, even if Lin Yuan was still willing to help the sea chains with their problem, he would not have put in as much effort. He also would not have sent the 100 water Turning Wheel Realm Dictators and 1,000 regular Dictators to help the sea clans migrate.

Lin Yuan’s action allowed the water experts and the Vast Sea Labyrinth to become acquainted sooner than they would have. This would enable them to work together even better in the future.

Although all of Lin Yuan’s decisions were geared toward achieving a win-win situation, he had actually allowed the Vast Sea Labyrinth to obtain incomparable benefits.

Because of Lin Yuan’s promise, the sea clans’ top combat power would be increased by at least 50%!

Lin Yuan liked a faction like this that knew how to be flexible, was rational, and knew where the lines were.

Lin Yuan felt no inclination to help the federations who had received the Radiance Federation’s invitation but were unwilling to attend the Major Federation Union meeting.

He had heard of Tarot Round Table from Eighth Page Apoptosis.

He did not have a good feeling about this secret human faction that was composed of tens of top experts.

Tarot Round Table had been investigating Tower Canon all this time and clearly knew many of their secrets. Yet, they had not done anything and, in a way, allowed Tower Canon to infect the main world’s ley lines with death aura.

The Vast Sea Labyrinth had previously worked with Tower Canon, but this did not color Lin Yuan’s opinion of the Vast Sea Labyrinth or cause him to become angry at them.

Firstly, the Vast Sea Labyrinth had been unaware of Tower Canon’s plan. Lin Yuan understood Ice Flow, Ice Wave, and Ice Clarity. If they knew Tower Canon aimed to extract the death aura, unleash the dead spirits crisis, and trigger the changing of epochs, they’d have refused to cooperate and tried to stop it.

But based on what Tarot Round Table had told the Moon Empress, Lin Yuan knew they had been aware of Tower Canon’s plan. However, all they did was continue watching silently as they tried to gather even more information to continue working toward their goals.

Lin Yuan did not know what Tarot Round Table’s goals were, but it was a fact they had consciously remained on the sidelines. This meant they truly did not care about the survival of the main world’s lifeforms.

Thus, the Radiance Federation would take a completely different attitude toward Tarot Round Table than they did with the Vast Sea Labyrinth.

Lin Yuan felt that it was reasonable for the Azure Federation to have remained neutral between the Radiance Federation and Freedom Federation. After all, they needed to look out for their own profits.

But safeguarding one’s profits was not a good enough reason for remaining on the sidelines in every situation!

Lin Yuan already felt extreme displeasure toward Tarot Round Table.

But Tarot Round Table had not made contact with the Radiance Federation because they wanted to help in the war against the dead spirits but to negotiate with them.

Tarot Round Table had already stated their conditions. This was their price for telling Lin Yuan everything they knew about Tower Canon.

It seemed that Tarot Round Table was a mercenary group greedily trying to secure their benefits in a mad frenzy now that they sensed imminent danger!

The Moon Empress believed that if Tarot Round Table had three spirit-fire experts, six birth-horoscope experts, and more than ten Above Eternal experts, agreeing to their requests might not be a bad idea!

Tarot Round Table possessed almost equivalent top combat power to all three major federations combined!

It would not be unreasonable for them to occupy 20% of the leadership positions in the Major Federation Union.

However, the Moon Empress did not want to hand over the policymaking authority to them. They would have the final say in most proposals if she did that.

The three major federations and other federations with Class 5 Creation Masters would all occupy leadership positions in the Major Federation Union. This was a sealed deal.

The Azure Federation was in alliance with the Radiance Federation but had not become fully subordinate to them. On the other hand, the Freedom Federation could be considered a branch of the Radiance Federation.

The other factions were unaware that the Freedom Federation’s royalty had already sworn their loyalty to the Moon Empress. There was no way that the Freedom Federation would reveal this voluntarily.

Thus, regardless of what happened, the Radiance Federation would occupy more leadership positions than Tarot Round Table.

While the Moon Empress was discussing with Lin Yuan, she took a grudgeful tone toward Tarot Round Table. Regardless of how strong Tarot Round Table was, the Moon Empress did not like how conniving they were.

It was likely that the Tarot experts had lost their humanity to the passage of time.

Lin Yuan chuckled coldly. There was no way he would be sharing even a shred of the policymaking authority with Tarot Round Table. They did not deserve it!

If Tarot Round Table could be content with just 20% of the leadership positions and did not insist on having policymaking authority—and if they were willing to invest their full sincerity into helping with the defense against the dead spirits crisis by assigning their experts to help the weaker federations with any abrupt dangers that cropped up—Lin Yuan could force himself to have a conversation with them.

But if they continued to be this greedy or came up with more unreasonable requests, Lin Yuan would not be opposed to teaching them a lesson.

Lin Yuan rarely used martial force against others, but this did not mean he was fully against this method.

While rushing back to the Radiance Federation, Lin Yuan used up his spirit qi numerous times. The journey left him dusty, but traveling using Node Transportation was much faster than other modes of transport.

Once he entered the inner palace of the Radiant Moon Palace, he saw the Moon Empress sitting there with an austere expression. Her brows knitted tightly together.

Lin Yuan walked briskly over to the Moon Empress and asked softly, “Master, has something gone wrong with Tarot Round Table, or have they made an unsavory request?”

The Moon Empress had not expected Lin Yuan to arrive so quickly.

In the past, she would not have discussed issues with him. But she had no choice but to tell him about the issues related to Tarot Round Table so that he could solve them.

Even the Spacetime Elder would seem weak when he faced the Tarot experts. Lin Yuan was the only one who could stand toe-to-toe with them.

The Moon Empress rarely encountered people as arrogant as the Tarot experts.

The Leaning Moon Mountain had a total of two main palaces. The Moon Empress usually lived in the Radiant Moon Palace and met with other members of the Radiance Federation’s royalty in the Radiant Moon Palace as well.

The Four Moon Servants only used the Resting Moon Palace when they returned with their teams. Night Leaning Moon occasionally stayed there, too.

The Moon Empress only allowed the people closest to her to use the Resting Moon Palace and would never have allowed the people from Tarot Round Table to stay there of her own volition.

Given that the people from Tarot Round Table still ended up staying there in spite of the Moon Empress’ unwillingness, the reason was obvious without being explicitly said.

Lin Yuan laughed coldly and asked softly, “Master, are the people from Tarot Round Table making things difficult for you?”

Lin Yuan’s voice was laced with lethal intention.

The Moon Empress was stunned by what Lin Yuan said. It sounded as though he wanted to stand up for her.

The Moon Empress could not remember the last time she felt this way. Perhaps that old fellow had stood up for her when she first became his disciple.

However, he had been an alcoholic and was only sober a few times a year. He had died by the time she became a member of the Radiance Hundred Sequence. He had not even been around to see her become a Radiance Envoy.

The Moon Empress smiled and said, “Little Yuan, the people from Tarot Round Table did not make things difficult for me. It’s not so easy to push me into a corner. They insisted on staying on the Leaning Moon Mountain. I’m sure you can understand that this is one of their ways of demonstrating their formidability.

“They also wanted me to call you back as soon as possible. They have not only been looking into Tower Canon but have also investigated a fair amount of the Radiance Federation’s recent happenings. They have likely obtained information about you. I don’t know the exact intel they have on you, but they see it as their bargaining chip.

“Little Yuan, if they cross the line in your interaction with them, you don’t have to force yourself to suffer for the sake of helping the main world with its disaster. They don’t have experts who are above the spirit-fire level!”

The Moon Empress should not have said that, as it went against her status. But simultaneously, she was worried about Lin Yuan and did not want him to suffer.

She could already see how greedy they were. If Lin Yuan kept giving way during the negotiation with Tarot Round Table, they would just end up climbing all over him.

Lin Yuan stood up. “Master, I will go and meet with Tarot Round Table! I really want to know what intel they have on me!”

A year ago, if such a powerful faction had obtained information about Lin Yuan, he would have been worried regardless of how important the information was.

Being targeted by a powerful faction like Tarot Round Table would undoubtedly have caused a lot of trouble for him.

Back then, Lin Yuan’s secret weapons were insufficient to deal with Tarot Round Table.

But now, the Abyss Great Emperor and Eternal Source would both be able to easily keep the four spirit-fire Tarot experts in check.

In Lin Yuan’s eyes, Tarot Round Table was nothing more than meat on a chopping board. Although the meat was rather tough, cutting through would not be impossible.

Lin Yuan was curious to know what information Tarot Round Table knew about him that they believed would be enough to keep him under their thumb!

Nonetheless, Lin Yuan was certain that Tarot Round Table did not know too much key information about him. Otherwise, they would not have been foolish enough to have the confidence to come to try to negotiate with him!

Tarot Round Table might seem powerful to others, but they were nothing more than a replaceable garnish to Lin Yuan. He had not considered them when he first started coming up with his plan to protect the main world and had still successfully carried out his plan.

The people from Tarot Round Table were trying to refrain from exerting any effort and take control of him. Even if they were willing to help out in the war against the humans, they would never listen to his instructions.

Red Thorn had only just evolved to Diamond grade. It happened to need assets to use Tongue Pouch Births Demons on.

Lin Yuan thought, Tarot Round Table should hope that they do not give me the chance to obtain assets for Red Thorn!

The Moon Empress looked at Lin Yuan seriously while he was speaking as she tried to discern from his gaze if he was trying to console her.

She saw that his gaze was very level and that his deadly aura had not diminished at all after hearing about Tarot Round Table’s intentions. Instead, it had intensified.

The Moon Empress was confident that Lin Yuan had the power to handle Tarot Round Table and was not worried about them.

“Little Yuan, go ahead and do what you need to do. Don’t forget to prioritize your own safety at all times. The spirit-fire Tarot experts have definitely contracted sacred source lifeforms and all of them have different abilities. Take everything seriously, and never be careless!”

The Moon Empress was not the emotional type and hated such people.

But at that moment, when Lin Yuan was about to head to the Resting Moon Palace to meet the Tarot experts, she ended up becoming such a person.

She was just too worried about Lin Yuan’s safety.

But she knew that if he really ended up clashing against the Tarot experts, she would not be of any help to him because she had yet to set her spirit fire alight. She might even become an inconvenience to him.

Otherwise, she would definitely have gone with him so she could hear the information firsthand!

Lin Yuan nodded seriously when he heard what the Moon Empress said. He made sure to make mental notes of everything that she said.

This was because he knew that the Moon Empress had his best interests at heart and because she had more experience than him.

The Moon Empress’ advice was also her way of imparting experience to him.

However, Lin Yuan truly was not overly concerned about the Tarot experts.

The Tarot experts only had the equivalent power of the subterranean world’s top combat power. They also did not have as many Above Eternal experts, who were the equivalent of Samsara Realm Dictators.

Eternal Source and the Abyss Great Emperor were not the only weapons in Lin Yuan’s arsenal.

When Lin Yuan fused with the Abyss Red Lotus in the past, he was already able to suppress all the abyssal Samsara Realm Dictators.
