2441 The Radiance Federation’s Continent Vein Core

Liu Jie’s talent and power had not been deciding factors in Night Leaning Moon’s decision to accept him as her disciple. She had accepted him at the recommendation of the Moon Empress’ disciple and because of his character.

The Radiance Federation’s top factions rarely sent their main members to compete for a spot in the Radiance Hundred Sequence.

The disciples from top factions used only top Creation Master resources. Hence, their power rivaled that of veteran experts.

Liu Jie had competed with the direct descendant disciples of top factions at the Guard Ye Banquet. At first, Night Leaning Moon assumed that Liu Jie’s ability to control insect-species carcinoma feys was due to the Insect Queen’s mutation. But she slowly realized that Lin Yuan’s figure was always looming behind Liu Jie.

Everyone around Lin Yuan had received great benefits. Wen Yu, Condense Fairy Orchard’s Sun Ningxiang, Gao Feng, and Chef Supreme’s disciple Zong Ze were all examples.

At first, Night Leaning Moon thought that this was all due to the Moon Empress.

It was understandable for the Moon Empress to be selfless when it came to her disciple. However, it was impossible that she would extend such generosity to others.

The amount of resources that a Class 5 Creation Master could produce was limited. In order to protect their position, a Class 5 Creation Master could not give away all of the resources they had on hand.

After all, who would seek help from a Class 5 Creation Master who had no resources? There would be no factions like the Cage of Brahma Insects who chose to attach themselves to the Moon Empress.

Now, Night Leaning Moon only had one query in her mind. How had Lin Yuan managed to do all this?

If Lin Yuan had achieved all this after a few centuries, Night Leaning Moon would have attributed this to the Moon Empress’ teachings.

However, Lin Yuan had only been the Moon Empress’ disciple for around a year and had spent most of that time training outside of the Radiance Federation while the Moon Empress had remained in the Radiance Federation. Hence, it was clear that Lin Yuan’s achievements were all of his own merit.

In spite of her curiosity, Night Leaning Moon knew that this was not the right time and did not ask questions. Regardless of what the reason was, Night Leaning Moon knew the Moon Empress well enough to know that she would never reveal confidential information about her disciple.

Night Leaning Moon had been the Moon Empress’ teammate before she became a member of royalty. She knew how important privacy was to the Moon Empress.

Back then, the Moon Empress had kept her secret weapons hidden from Night Leaning Moon. It went without saying that nothing much had changed.

This imperial meeting went on for longer than usual. The Moon Empress was also much more patient than usual and fielded all questions that came her way.

But when the topic encroached into more private areas, the Moon Empress would honestly express that she was unsure and that it was not her place to say more.

The imperial meeting only came to an end after an entire day had passed.

All of the members of royalty left the imperial court with strange but happy expressions.

The strangeness was due to some sense of ludicrousness and surrealness.

The world was going to belong to the young, so they needed to have great foresight. It was clear that their sights were now set beyond this enormous main world.

There would be more imperial meetings in the future, and it would not be too late to discuss this matter then.

None of the members of royalty had opposed Lin Yuan’s request to venture into the marsh world.

This was because they had all been blessed by him and because he was motivated by his desire to protect the Radiance Federation. He wanted to prevent the powerful dimensional lifeforms from damaging the mirror cities that the Radiance Federation had painstakingly built.

The Azure Federation’s request for aid had been the best example.

The Radiance Federation had invested massive effort into building mirror cities in the abyssal world. There was no way they would be able to afford any damage.

If there was any damage incurred, it would not only affect their resources but would also hurt the Radiance Federation’s citizens’ confidence about expanding into the abyssal world. It was difficult to rebuild confidence once it was shaken.

The Moon Empress had been about to leave the imperial court when she was stopped by the Spacetime Elder calling out to her.

A confused expression came over her face. She could not think of a reason for him to be calling her. Could he have something to say about her request?

The Moon Empress had great respect for the Spacetime Elder. Without him protecting the Radiance Federation, the Radiance Federation would have stood no chance of securing its position as one of the three major factions. The Moon Empress and Bamboo Monarch would also not have had such a conducive environment in which to increase their powers.

After Cicada Song left, the only ones left in the imperial court were the Moon Empress and Spacetime Elder. The Spacetime Elder smiled and waved at the Moon Empress as he said softly, “I never expected you to accept a disciple of your own volition, nor that your disciple would become this extraordinary! With your domineering way of doing things, I’ve always been curious about your teaching style.”

The Moon Empress was reminded of her past self.

After thinking for a moment, the Moon Empress launched into a serious explanation, “People will change. You previously asked me if there was anyone in the world that I would miss if I left. I did not answer you then. That wasn’t because my ties with Leaning Moon aren’t deep enough but because I have seriously considered the hypothetical scenario of my life coming to an end. I would be indignant. Indignant that I wasn’t strong enough to overcome this.

“After accepting Lin Yuan as my disciple, I overcame my failed birth horoscope. I was also indignant when I found out that I did not have long left in my lifespan. But my indignance was no longer related to my power but that I would be unable to continue accompanying and watching over Lin Yuan. I wouldn’t have been able to have any more question-and-answer sessions with him or experience the joy of watching him grow.”

A serene smile spread across the Spacetime Elder’s face.

“Xiyue, you have always been arrogant and aloof. You found it difficult to stand in the shoes of others. Perhaps, when you became Lin Yuan’s master, you finally gained the benevolence you were lacking.

“I don’t have any more questions. If I probe any further, you will probably think me a noisy old man! Inside this wooden box is something I discovered when I united the Radiance Federation. It should be something that every large continent has.”
