2324 Member of Royalty, Ka Ma

After spending time with Lin Yuan for the past few months, Green Vine understood how reality worked.

Green Vine grew up in the Divine Wood Federation and followed Lin Yuan to the Great Lush and Iron Hammer Federations. It understood how cruel the world could be more than Lin Yuan’s other feys.

It felt this way the most strongly when it was in the marsh world.

Countless lifeforms gave up their lives for the sake of a slight improvement.

But with Lin Yuan by its side, it could enjoy endless resources.

All lifeforms were naturally able to evolve.

Lin Yuan’s provision of resources made it so easy for Green Vine to evolve that it felt slightly guilty!

All of Lin Yuan’s other feys had contributed to him in some way, while all Green Vine did was follow Lin Yuan around without doing anything useful.

This was because Lin Yuan did not need its protection at all. Furthermore, it had been the one who needed protection from Begin Lady and Celestial Sight not long ago.

Now that its power had increased, it could finally help Lin Yuan! Nothing would make Green Vine happier!

Lin Yuan stored away his remaining spirit qi crystals.

The larger in scale that Sky City grew to, the better of an idea it would be to have a reserve storage of spirit qi crystals just in case. This way, there would not be any issues that could not be solved.

By now, 10,000 spirit qi crystals would not be of much help in increasing Green Vine’s grade.

At least 300,000 spirit qi crystals would be needed to evolve Green Vine to Eternal.

It was difficult for Lin Yuan to obtain so many spirit qi crystals at short notice. Thus, there was no rush to continue evolving Green Vine.

“Green Vine, let’s continue working hard together! Entire Body Medium will enable you to use Swallow Same Source whenever you please. I will go and find some great things for you to absorb.”

After helping Green Vine to evolve, Lin Yuan returned to the marsh world and continued harvesting faith power from the marsh world’s lifeforms.

He wanted to see what the divine kingdom would look like once the single-cell organisms appeared!

Presently, Lin Yuan was silently waiting for news from the Marsh West Circle.

Even if the big source fruit sprouts were planted in Lin Yuan’s territory, Lin Yuan had never even left the Marsh East Circle. As such, there was no way that any big source fruit sprouts could be found in the Marsh West Circle.

Thus, the only possible result was the Apostles and Dictators who had left in search of the big source fruit sprouts to return empty-handed. They would prolong their search in the Marsh West Circle if they could not find anything.

With how fast Evil Source was, the Freedom Federation’s territory would devolve into a wreck!

A soft white wool carpet adorned the floor of a magnificent castle. It once extended from the top of the castle to the garden outside, a testament to the contribution of many sheep who had sacrificed their wool for its creation.

Despite its immaculate condition, the carpet was regularly replaced by a team of female attendants, who rolled it up and exchanged it for a new one. The retired carpet would be sent back to the Freedom Federation through a dimensional rift, where Class 5 Weavers would repurpose it into exquisite garments displayed in their stores.

In a few months’ time, these clothes would await eager buyers.

In the castle’s fountain resided Human-Faced Catfish, colossal creatures exceeding three meters in length. In order for the Human-Faced Catfish to grow to such a size, the crying young girls on their backs had to have swallowed an untold number of innocents and raced up a thick ledger of sins.

On the fourth level of the castle, a girl with flowing red hair and adorned in a shimmering gold dress sat at a table. She idly played with precious gems in her hand while inspecting the stack of receipts presented by a kneeling servant girl before her.

Upon finishing her perusal of the receipts, a faintly intoxicated smile graced the girl’s icy countenance. “There sure is an abundance of resources in the marsh world! The dimensional lifeforms in the marsh world are finally willing to work together after all our repeated efforts at making contact!

“Apostles and Dictators, these sure are interesting terms! I hope that they bring me some uncontracted sacred source lifeforms the next time they come! Hehe, this is amazing! Apparently, there is a way to get a preview of sacred source lifeforms! I can’t let anyone else find out about this!”

The girl suddenly thought of something as she kicked the kneeling servant girl and said, “Na Na and the Goddess of Mercy are getting into more trouble! Na Na should be coming to visit us in the marsh world the day after tomorrow. What do you think will happen if I try to goad Na Na and the Goddess of Mercy into fighting each other?”

The servant girl’s body trembled as she said softly in a careful and timid voice, “Your Majesty, I don’t know anything about such things! But there’s nothing you want to do that can’t be done! Na Na will need to find many helpers to take on the Goddess of Mercy. Given your good relationship with Na Na, she will definitely turn to you!”

The girl raised her hand and slapped the servant girl, and fresh blood immediately started oozing from the corner of her mouth. The servant girl wiped the blood away in a well-practiced motion for fear of dirtying the carpet and being the reason for it being changed again.

“Why say so much if you don’t know anything? Leave! Remember that those people are only allowed to sleep for two hours each day! If they can’t collect 2.5 tons of marsh soil in a week, feed them to my three Human-Faced Catfish! It happens to be time for the Human-Faced Catfish to evolve.”

The servant girl humbly bowed her head and crawled out of the room, fully aware that a slap would have awaited her as the best outcome, regardless of her response to the question.

Every day, she threw bodies into the castle’s fountain.

A heavy sigh escaped the servant girl’s lips as she contemplated her current state. She had managed to escape relatively unscathed, considering the circumstances. However, those unfortunate individuals digging for marsh soil would not be as fortunate.

As they continued developing in the Marsh West Circle, obtaining marsh soil became increasingly more difficult.

In their current situation, the most that a team could find with a full day’s worth of work without rest or sleep was 2 tons of marsh soil.

It was likely that there would be more people passing through the dimensional rift soon.

Suddenly, the servant girl felt her heart skip a beat. It was as though something bad was about to happen!

But the servant girl did not take long to suppress this feeling. What was the point of thinking so much?

Rather than stewing in the feeling of foreboding, it would be better to think of ways to give the report and only receive one slap from Ka Ma instead of being tossed into the fountain to become food for the Human-Faced Catfish.
