"Yoo! How's life down there?"
The sudden question made the whole room deathly silent.
Councilor Brown and Teacher Theodore's smiles went stiff. Madison's eyes were wide as she stared at the situation in front. The other two's reactions were more or less the same.
While Bryan's eyes went wide as his mouth visibly twitched aggressively. His face contorted as he forced himself to get up, his hands trying to reach towards Roland's face.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!!"
The slow movement of his enraged hand was like the movement of the slowest moving snail in Roland's eyes. He only leaned back a little and he had already dodged Bryan's 'attack' leisurely.
And as leisurely as Roland's movements were, the same could not be said towards Bryan.
Due to his forceful and sudden movement, his knee injury, which was just starting its recovery process, immediately aggravated.
"OUCH! OUCH!"
The sudden pain made him jerk back to the bed as he howled like a little girl. His fist was clenched and his body was tight as he tried to endure the sudden pain that he was feeling. The first to react was Councilor Brown, followed by Teacher Theodore and then Madison followed by the other two.

Councilor Brown ran towards Bryan with eyes full of worry and at the same time, a hint of hostility towards Roland that he thought he had hidden well.
He held Bryan's hands tightly as he shouted, "Doctor! Call the doctor! Quick!"
On the other hand, Bryan's blood curdling screams continued.
"ROLAND!! I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!"
Seeing that he still has some energy to spare to shout, it seems that the pain he was feeling was no longer that great.
Roland laughed at Bryan's screams, "Wow! Why are you so fierce?"
"I heard that you have been beaten by a cultist? Why didn't you use that same ferocity back then? Huh?"

Bryan's words were stuck on his throat. What Roland said just stung the last fragile pride of his heart. Recalling his actions back then, there was nothing ferocious about it at all.

His brows were knitted as he forcefully pressed Bryan to the bed, not allowing the latter to move an inch at all.
"It's alright son. You're good." He said calmly, trying to calm Bryan's raging emotions as he waited for the doctor to come over.
On the other hand Teacher Theodore also dragged Roland away, afraid that he might escalate the matter even further. Madison and the other two followed towards them, the three of them were full of shock and fear as to what would happen next.
Teacher Theodore looked at Roland helplessly and with a hint of disappointment on his face.
"Roland, what exactly are you doing? Didn't I tell all of you to behave as we are here on behalf of the school to visit your injured classmates? Yet, what exactly is this? Are you trying to embarrass the school in front of the Councilor? Huh? Is this how the top 1 in my class behave?"
Teacher Theodore reprimanded Roland without stopping. The three ladies stood at the side, not knowing what to do.
Madison wanted to defend Roland, but she just could not come up with any words that might save him from the scolding of their teacher.
On the other hand, Roland merely looked at Teacher Theodore without saying anything. He knew that he was like a jerk for causing such a situation. However, he did not regret doing such a thing in front of the crowd.
When Bryan insulted Roland earlier, Teacher Theodore was easily defused by Councilor Brown. As he was scolding Roland, he seemed to have forgotten that Bryan insulted Roland earlier first.
Roland did not say anything and just allowed Teacher Theodore's scolding to pass through his ears. He didn't care about his scolding at all. Instead, his eyes were focused on Councilor Brown himself.
Although minute, he sensed Councilor Brown's hostility earlier when he passed by him earlier.
Although this may seem a normal reaction due to what he had done to cause Bryan's intense reaction, Roland did not think that it was so.

The saying, even a cornered rabbit will fight with its teeth and claws was a clear demonstration of such desperate and crucial times.
An individual could also manifest their 'murderous intent' unknowingly without being in a desperate or crucial situation. However, this would only be possible if their murderous intent was already strong to begin with.
The strong murderous intent that he first felt from Razor back then was also due to this situation. Back then, he guessed that Razor must have already killed a lot of people, for him to possess such a strong murderous intent.
And for Councilor Brown to possess such a strong murderous intent, Roland immediately became wary as he tried to size up this 'kind and good' Councilor Brown once again.
