Stacey stared at Roland with a smile. Her plan was a success. She saw that Roland was not in the right mood when he went in. She guessed that something must have happened during the trip to Tree Town. Hence, she decided to give him affection right away.

Roland thought that Stacey hugged and acted that way towards him was because she was stressed due to her work, however, something like this was nothing for Stacey. She could handle the pressure without any problem at all.

On the other hand, Stacey did not clarify Roland's misunderstanding.

She nodded her head and told Roland that she had not had lunch yet and that it would be great if Roland could cook for her. It was undeniable that Roland was a good cook. At the same time, she also doesn't want to let the opportunity of spending some time with Roland slip.

Roland gave her a light kiss before he went to the Sparkling Bud's kitchen.

The employees greeted him with a smile. Although they were nervous with Roland, the boss's presence around them, it did not affect their work as they continued to be busy themselves.

The kitchen was wide and had a lot of space. Although the chicken were already processed before they were transported here for cooking, the kitchen was still complete with the necessary tools and materials.

It did not take long for Roland to finish the simple lunch that he decided to cook for Stacey.

It was just a simple vinegar-braised chicken, however, the reactions and the alluring fragrance that wafted in the air was a testament at how tasty this simple lunch was. The employees could only watch in envy as Roland emptied the pan as he served it in a large bowl before taking it towards Stacey's office.

Roland could only apologize to the employees this time as he only cooked enough for him, Stacey and Janine. Much more and it would take more time to cook.

Anyways, Roland served the food beside Stacey's office. Stacey's office was spacious so there was no problem eating here. He then called Janine over so that the three of them could eat together.

The moment Janine entered, Stacey immediately looked at her with a knowing smile. Although she may have not known the details, Roland mentioned earlier that Janine was acting strangely. bender

Seeing that, Janine could only smile awkwardly. She may have taken the courage to do those bold things, but it was surely not bold enough in her eyes yet. She sighed and thought, 'At least, I took a step forward and tried.'

Without fail, the two women were very satisfied with the vinegar-braised chicken that Roland had cooked. They finished two servings each, while Roland ate the remaining ones.

While they were eating, Roland slowly filled Stacey in on what happened at Tree Town. Including the matter regarding the orphanage.

Right now, Roland no longer cared even if the gang handling the orphanage knew of the fact that he was the escapee back then. He now has the strength and ability to protect himself.

And although he wanted revenge, it was not even one of his main goals now. He knew that he had a lot on his plate already, so he was just treating it as some side quest of some sort.

Of course, him not caring about it too much doesn't mean that Stacey and Janine didn't.

The two of them were in rage when they heard the whole story of what truly happened back then. Stacey was specially worked up. She swore that she would make those people rot in jail.

On the other hand, Janine had already searched online for some information regarding the new orphanage where the other orphans were transferred back then.

Apparently, it was an old orphanage in Fore City with a long history. It was called Blossom Home orphanage.

What was worth mentioning though was that according to Janine's preliminary investigation online, Councilor Brown, and his party were actually known major supporters of the orphanage.

Not only that, Janine also learned that Councilor Brown was also supporting a lot of orphanage homes in other parts of Fore City and towns. In fact, it was mainly due to this action that he garnered the support of the people at the last election, winning first place in the Councilor rankings with a massive lead compared to the second place.

Upon hearing that, Roland could not help but mumble to himself, "Hmm- Interesting!"

Would there truly be a huge discrepancy between the father and the child?

One was praised by the people for being a good samaritan, a model for the people. While the other was known as a troublemaker and a jerk.

'Is Bryan actually an orphan?' Roland could not help but think.

It was not out of possibility knowing that Councilor Brown has been interacting with a lot of orphanage homes as well.

Anyways, Roland did not think too much about it. He knew that no matter how many times the people praised Councilor Brown, some things just would not change.

He would also not blindly believe what he heard easily. He preferred to investigate thoroughly from the bottom to the top. Who knows if Councilor Brown was just doing it for his image, or if he has any ulterior motives from doing so.

"Just take note of this orphanage for now and just don't take any rash action. Everything has its own time, we could not rush this operation no matter what. You guys can coordinate with One and the other's regarding this, they are exceptional in this kind of thing."

Roland originally did not plan to think too much about this matter, however, seeing that Stacey was adamant on clearing this up, he also decided to show his full support for her.

With One's and the other guards skills comparable to his, Roland was truly not worried about the outcome of this operation.

A while later, Roland and Janine finally went to school together, bringing the Ronda Civic along with them.
