Roland has a good impression about Madison. He doesn't want her to go along with them as he knew that they would only bring her harm than good.
Yesterday, it was only Madison who showed concern for him when Anna tried to embarrass him in public again. He thought that it would be a pity if she truly joined their circle of friends.

Roland was only surprised about it but became nonchalant the next second.
He looked ahead and leaned on his chair, not bothering about the group of people who just entered the room.
On the other hand, Madison had a look of exasperation on her face as she followed behind Anna and the others.
In truth, she has actually arrived first in the classroom like usual. However, knowing that Bryan's group of friends would be late again, Madison was tasked by their teacher to search and fetch them before class starts.
She searched for them for almost an hour before she found them leisurely wasting their time near the school's bathroom.
The school bathroom was where the delinquents usually spend their time, seeing them there made clear just what kind of students they were.
What made her even more angry was that they actually refused to come with her and said that it was far from the time yet.
In the end, they only agreed to come when there was only a minute left before the class started, making her extremely annoyed.
She stood in front of everyone and began to scan all of them.
She smiled after noticing that Roland was actually looking at her direction.
She looked at the clock and noticed that it was already time.
"Attention everyone!" She shouted and waited for everyone to quiet down before she continued.
After everyone quieted down, she took a side glance and said, "Teacher Theodore won't be here for the entire day so I'll be responsible for today's activities."
"First things first, Teacher Theodore asked me to make a change in the sitting arrangements. He said that we should take the second semester seriously and that we should be disciplined all through the whole year."
"Especially those who always come to the room late. As what Teacher Theodore said, those who got late by fifteen minutes would be marked absent for the whole day, understand?"
The students began to murmur amongst themselves as they nodded, implying that they got it.
"Good. Now, the seating arrangement will be determined from our rank last semester. Alright, stand up first and come forward as I call your name," Madison clapped her hands as she ordered.
In truth, Teacher Theodore actually did not order this seating arrangement to be done like this. This was Madison's own decision after some careful considerations. She was givein full autonomy about this matter by the teacher anyways so she was quite bold regarding it.
Those who were in the first row were the first to stand up, while those at the last row remained seated, as if they did not hear Madison's instructions.
Madison shook her head seeing their actions but because it was not their turn to be called yet, she decided to let them off this time.
"Alright, first is Roland," she took a glance at Roland and smiled warmly.
Roland walked and stood beside her for now, per her instructions.
Roland was ranked first during their class semester.
Madison came second while another girl called Victoria was ranked third. Following that, Madison called the person from fourth to tenth rank one by one and lined all of them up in front in ascending order.
"We will occupy the first ten seats on the first row. So, go and sit according to your rank now." She said as she especially showed Roland his seat, a move that was not left unnoticed by some other girls in the room.
After the first ten were seated excluding Madison, she proceeded to call the next rank one by one.
Not surprisingly enough, Anna was actually ranked eleventh. A rank that did not surprise me at all. In the first semester, he would always find ways to let Anna copy some of his assignments and there were even times that he was the one who made them.
In fact, Roland was even surprised that she was not included in the top ten. He thought that it might be because her scores in individual semestral tests were low, contrary to him who only made a few mistakes.
And in an unfortunate turn of events, Anna was actually seated directly behind him.
If it was before, Roland would surely feel awkward knowing that his 'ex' was just sitting behind him.
However, Roland has already changed a few times. Even if there were a thousand Anna behind him, Roland would not even bother looking back as long as there was no need to.
Contrary to Roland and Madison's expectations, Anna actually looked a little happy after realizing that she was seated directly behind Roland.
Madison frowned at this and secretly thought of something.
"Hi," Anna said as she sat on the chair.
However, Roland did not even bother looking at her and continued to pay attention towards Madison. Making the latter especially happy deep inside.
Anna's face twitched and turned red from the embarrassment after getting ignored by Roland.
She could only harrumphed and look away, acting as if it also did not bother her at all.
On the other hand, Roland was actually a bit surprised at the turn of events too.
